Yeah, very much mixed feelings about that.
I did enjoy when people asked "What level is your pet" and being able to tell them, proudly, that my entire stable was at character level.
Flying hercs is going to be very silly. And, practically speaking; I guess brings Jewelscalan, the pimp dragon, into my sights.
(Oh, and I guess means I don't have to gripe about auto-pathing putting me into the air any more)
I'm sure it can't be 100 different skills. More likely, it means that you can be at any of 100 different places on the attack/defence scale. (With, presumably, the two extremes being the two useful places to be.)
Still, I guess we'll weait and see.0 -
--ohh so it's like all of the stats are stat experience(pokemon terms, would have used EVs but that's limited for the total you can train x3), I guess.
Wait if the nixie can go underwater and in dungeons... what's the point of having a dino pet x-x?(because its purpose was to be an instance nix, I mean.) Like I always used my nix more for PvP and my dino for PvE in instances or when my nix kept getting stuck in the ground 'xD
Pfff please tell me terrian change means nixie won't keep getting stuck in the ground, that'd be great o-o

i believe mystic r already copy of veno...just much better version + able to heal other players
so its only fair that they update old class such as- venomancers
i already have most my pets lvl 100 and about to be lvl 101(not counting Derjan)
so at least now i hope they wont be easy 1 shots in NW as they r now ;D0 -

Group attack might be just an option to have the pet make rounds on mobs. It would be nice to have pet auto switch targets in instances like Lunar so that it doesn't steal aggro and need healing or die.0

Enough of my ranting about the herc being a waste of money (especially for an HA veno),
I am really looking forward to seeing all the skills we get to pick and choose from But even more so, the pet system revision... About time pw brought the sexy back to venos. Now let's see some revision in some of our fox form skills. Or maybe let one of our new skills be offensive rather than all of these defensive skills we're getting loaded with o.o Not that I don't appreciate them, but what good is just staying alive when your opponent isn't dying either?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Pet leveling being removed... That's really great news. It will allow every veno to try any pet she may want. And leveling any pet after 100 is so stupid...Since mystics have auto leveled summons, it's more than fair that we will get that feature too.0

You didn't read well. He is talking about the inheritance coefficient, not the current stats. The phoenix inheritance coefficient for attack will be high, and the defense one will be low. That means that a phoenix will inherit most of the veno's attack, making it an ideal pet for the offensive, and less of the defense, while for the Hercules it will be the opposite.0 -

I'm an old player, who has leveld both her herc/nix and various other pets and now taking it away seems just... bah.
Man, I would love being able to take my phoenix into caves. Yea, I know, deerjans is almost as good. However, devs made that pet so hard to get that it's a joke. Pretty much the main reason I ended up turning away from my veno and totally focusing on my mystic instead. I was so sick of camping that dino, then someones comes, tames it right at the other end, or someone kills it...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Kinda weird cause I have 2 derjans...I was wcing several months before on RT on a derjan sighting but no veno came. One even taunted me such pets are worthless nowadays with T3 and such...but I wanted a better dd pet that can stand up on really bad aoe's at times so I caught the other 1 againGo Pure or go Fail

The Derjan's Hatchling pet is really a matter of luck. I've only seen it once in my gamelife and that was when I tamed it. I have never seen it ever since.

This week the wanmei will post some spoilers until April,2, this is my hint.
So, my translations of this news are:
1- Sorry, but the pet leveling will NOT be removed. The wanmei confirmed this now, but in this new system, the pet leveling will be furthered. The pet can gain exp by feeding, and training. I don't know if will have a special food. But the exp gained by killing monster will be increased. The training mode is basically kill monster. According to wanmei, the 105 is no longer a dream. (Needs Confirmation).
2- In the training mode the veno can improve the inherit coefficient, the level, and other things, like personal skills of pet.
3- There will be a new daily event, and the rewards are:
Pet skills books including blessing, claws and other powerful blessing skills
Musk deer Lingzhu: combat pet evolution (can be exp for pet), pulp washing (i don't know), character training and feeding the necessary materials.
A skill book for veno called Yao Qi strike (squirrel), this is the same name of bewitch before the Descent Expansion launch here, so can be a bewitch squirrel.
The rewards are based in your performance on the event. I don't know if only venos can do this event.
4- When the pet reach the level 100, the appearance will change and it will become more powerful.
5- Combat pet can also be in the battle dispersed the enemy's attention.
And there are other things that I have to investigate, the texts have something about:
"The evolved combat pet will randomly get a one hundred kinds of character, one hundred kinds of personality broadly divided into two categories: one is offensive and another is defensive"

Anyone knows how many pets will get new look? Legendary and Rare pets ok but from normal pets i've only seen scorpion,dark wanderer, glacial walker, another walker like pet (dunno its name). I really would like to see my seamonster guadian get a new look too.0
