    what exactly is "grinding"

Yes, from other players. There's also a gold trade system ingame, which is supposed to make it possible to trade ingame coins to Zen. However, I have no clue whatsoever how that works. It looks really complicated, and the built in tutorial isn't much help.

ya...its a tricky system,i just sat there and asked out in norm chat and some1 was kind enough to help....i suck at directions and explaining things so ill let someone else explain it...and then theres always the 10$ pre-paid card u can get at 7 elevenb:chuckle

    what exactly is "grinding"

Grinding is just killing a bunch of stuff, usually without a quest. It has 2 main purposes:

    1) Gain XP when you're out of quests. (This is slower than doing your dailies.)

    2) Gain coins from coin drops, and from selling the DQ and equipment drops. (In general, daily quests cost more than they bring in, unlike grinding.)

Dragon Quest is a repeatable quest that has you going around and talking to about 10 NPCs (which ones you see are picked randomly from a list), some of which will want you to give them a number of dragon quest items appropriate to the level DQ you're doing. It's mostly a time and/or coin sink, so most people quickly decide not to do it; the only awards worth bothering doing the quest for are the various blood molds. There are also a few quests that require specific DQ items (bank expansion quests, initial aerogear quests, a few others.) Otherwise DQ items are your main source of coin from grinding, by selling them to NPCs.

The Dragon Quest Director (gives and awards dragon quests) and the Dragon Quest Herald (exchanges Dragon Orders for items) are located in each starter village. The NPCs you have to talk to during the course of each Dragon Quest are scattered all over the map; you have to check your quest log to see where you have to go next.
