    I applaud the GMs timely response to the communities grievances. I think that it is quite reasonable to address the issue within a weeks time. A further maintenance would likely only server to annoy a greater portion of the player-base. Thank you again for listening to our concerns on this issue.

    Thanks for taking them out. But I'm not gonna log back in to this game until I can filter them out. As some morons will stock pile them and use them after they are no longer in the Boutique (specifically thinking of a moron Archer in Sanctuary who's name starts with a "W").

    So stop selling them now, and get the patch from the Devs to filter them. Then I will be back to playing the game.

    I and members of my faction are finding these thing annoying as if WC wasn't bad enough before the horns came.

    Damn Horns i hate them everyone is spamming all chats!!! If U dont remove them from Game plz give us the option to disable them in Chat!!!!

    It's been 30 min now and only 2 messages have appeared, thats 1 every 15 mins. Yesterday was no big deal as well, maybe one every 5 min.

    Even if only one person on the entire server could use a horn once per week, that's still one times too many.

    Horns ARE intrusive, plain and simple. And not a single thought went into how that would affect players before implementing them.

    May I suggest just making them a smiley set? Let the people who want to use blue.. whatever those things are meant to be and have coloured text buy the horn-smiley-set just like they buy the tiger set - and then just use worldchats and let use listen, or ignore them, as usual.

    This would have defeated the point of the horn's original intended use, which means they wouldn't have made as much money! Noes!

    To be honest, there's no way you can implement the horn as anything other than a "specialised" world chat. It's own smiley set, special ability to make what you say a practical announcement and have pretty colours, way-hay, but the inability to filter it would make it another telecoustic, just with a little bit more options. The fact that nobody in the company could foresee how intrusive horns would be as anything other than a secondary kind of telecoustic and thought it would be a good idea instead to make sure they showed up in every channel...

    ... well. Rocket science is totally hard to learn.

    I'm actually rather pleased about this, as they actually became quite a hindrance as well as a major annoyance on Lost City yesterday.

    I've been out of the game for about 6 months or more. I left for my own reasons, and when I came back to see if anything good had happened I see 6 year olds playing with colored text. The horns are just like giving candy to a 6 year old, just because you can do it doesn't mean you should. If you do, do it, lock them in their own little room/world. That is all that needs to be done with the horns. Give these kids their own little private space to be stupid in.

    It's a mid-level annoyance to me, slowly coming to a boil as more people get their hands on them.

    Well, after loggin on last night I don't know why anyone on HT has a right to complain. I saw very little, and I do mean VERY LITTLE, spam from the PH's.

    That may just be because I play during the night time hours were most U.S. kids have already gone to sleep, so I don't have to deal with all that annoyance, but I believe more people are using WC instead of PH's on HT. So....I don't see much problem....unless the people in arch get a-hold of them x.x

    Could not read whispers and faction chat today, as chat was spammed by someone who was abusing it! Blah!

    Thought it would be okay, but now... I think it's a terrible idea.

    Can't blacklist all the spammers! b:laugh

    All in all, get rid of it, I say. If we're in a serious BH or TT or WHATEVER it may be, well, it isn't going to be easy. :<

    Less intrusive way =
    1. Put the price of them up to 1 gold EACH
    2. Give everyone what they want - a filter
    3. Put the horns into another window - WHICH CAN BE CLOSED

    Seriously I know PWI wants to make money to survive but these are possibly the worst idea you've had. Stop with the new features like this please and fix the stupid bugs which have been around for a millenium.

    They are not going to add anything that lets you block shouts. No way, ever. They get paid by the people using it.

    It kills the chat system for free players --- the window is flooded with shouts about useless nerd stuff --- dungeons I don't even know the name of, items that are sold cheap for just 2000000 million, stuff like that. Anything "white" remains unnoticed unless you happen to watch out for it. The PMs via the friendlist is the only thing that works, as it happens in a separate window; I've pretty much gone into the habit of completely ignoring the chat window.

    So, let them horn, shout or whatever around. I don't care.

    They could let us disable the scrolling system messages, though. They tend to be just as pointless --- but then again, it's used for advertising. so again --- no way they'll let us turn it off.

    im just gonna bl ppl using horns (i think many ppl will start doing it too)

    i dont care if horns will be used for fun or for trade


    i just dont wanna party wipe-out cuz i miss some boss shout or important info from squad-mate


    hopefuly, after some time many people will resign from using horns because they will be aware that will get bl from 1/2 community b:chuckle

    I tried that, it was filled up within an hour n i ran out of space, some genius decided blacklist should have a limit.

    Why the hell are horns even needed just revamp telecoustics, if people want to watch drama or recruiting or looking for squads or to sell something they go to global. Is there no part of the game the dev's are not intent on **** up?

    Can't state strongly enough about what a bad idea the perfect horn is. Last night on Sanctuary server, a wizard(ed) spammed music lyrics continuously for over an hour. I suggest that the minute someone uses a horn that everyone smother that person with whispers and chats expressing our displeasure with their intrusion.

    actually thats cuase they were getting rude PM's to not use them or to "****" by the time you got on was probably by the time word had got around.

    I think that perfect horns should only show up when world chat is enabled.

    Sometimes I want world chat, and I think that I should also see perfect horn chat then also.

    However, if I have whisper and squad only turned on, so that I can go afk for lunch and see messages friends have left me, I can no longer do so because perfect horn spam will have lost any messages they would have sent me.

    Well, I did recieve one msg from some guy saying "PH's suck" but that was it.

    Like most people said, there needs to be a filter for horns.

    Or if horns are supposedly created to penetrate all filter, then increase the price to maybe 50silver or 1gold, so only people who have some seriously important message that must be heard by everyone will be willing to buy the horns. There should be fewer people spamming horns with nonsense if its 50silver each, and being fewer, then blacklisting them will be easier.

    Even if there are lesser people buying horns, but each person is still paying like 50silver, so u people dont have to worry about losing ur business.

    you are right on.. I threatned EVERY single player with rude comments and things like "your RPK now" ect.. and i think many people who are WAY higher levels did the same.. since HL is a PVP server those noobs backed down because trust me on one wants to be camped for spamming by a squad of 4 high levels who have nothing better to do..

    ahhh.. too bad sancutury isnt a PK server.. if that guy did what you said he did on HL he would have a massive Squad hunting for him.. and trust me if and when he was found he wouldnt be a happy camper. if he was in arch or a safe zone spamming like that.. he would earn the exclusive honor of being on the KOS list of everyone level 70+... meaning when he walked out of the safety zone he would be in for a beat down

    If they bring the horn back, they should make it filterable just like teleaccoustic chat, also they should definately give it a standard unchangeable color, at least then we can differentiate between horn msgs and everything else...or give it a 24 hour cooldown xD

    In some aspects i can see the usefulness of not being able to be filtered off, sometimes when you advertise something, it doesn't reach many people because people have faction or squad chat selected, and in that aspect, it's nice to know that the msg can be seen (given the idea, that it's actually an important message...or at least purposeful)
