I got a better question... now that PWI owns Star Trek Online a game I did like playing, there is no reason to go back to it even if I left due to the fact they could do the same thing there, or any other game they run. So for those of you quiting for other PWI owned games... honestly don't be stupid if you want to leave leave the entire company not just switch seats on the same ship...I KILLED DUMBELDORE!!!0

Why would people who were so fed up with a company that they could no longer put up with it to play a game they liked switch to another game by the same messed up company? It would be like being so fed up with a malfunctioning machine that you threw away your chips and started playing the machine next to it. You're still in the same messed up casino under the same messed up leadership, you've just thrown away all your previous work under the guise of getting a fresh start.0 -

People quitting due to a rollback are idiots, imo.
Rollbacks happen, quitting a game because one was needed is just idiotic. You throw away everything you've done and accomplished over losing 3 or so days of play time. Oh god. Quick, it's a rollback. TIME TO QUIT BECAUSE I DONT AGREE WITH IT.
Guess what? TOO BAD. Don't go to another game not expecting one, aye? Seriously

^This makes me annoyed. Oh god, rollback. time to quit! You don't HAVE to be told anything about what caused the rollback. Excuse the tech team as they prepare a gigantic blog post with the logs from the error. Would you like that? Do you REALLY want to read the entire log? Perhaps you'd like the corrupted server file to tinker with as well? Jesus christ.
They're not going to post a huge forum post explaining what happened to the server file. Rollback = corrupted data. That's about as black and white as an explanation back. Unless of course you'd like the aforementioned.

I have had a rollback happen to me. A bigger one. A week before rollback...Don't tell me to shut up and gtfo....
In this rollback, I lost "Unique" gears, which are the equivalent of R9 in this game. Pack items gone as well. EXP, coins, Rank Points from PVP...the lot. Believe me, that rollback was much worse than this one. You've seen NOTHING.....they should've made you all start from level 1. Ungrateful ****.
Futhermore, it has been stated that they are still thinking of what to give as compensation. if you'd actually learn to god damn read you'd know that the 2x and hypers are immediate compensation and they're still working things out. So how about you learn to read or gtfo your self. Give them a chance to meet with their bosses and work something out.
You're such an idiot you don't understand that without a rollback your precious server would be GONE. G O N E GONE. All your characters, EVERYTHING. Realise it could've been worse and get over it, or quit like all the other losers QQing about something that happens at least once to everything that uses a server.0 -
I feel for you guys I really do, it could have been anyone's server. And it seems the last thing they want to do is compensate people properly, for the small chance that they are giving more than was lost. Kinda funny that way, how for us it is actual cash that is lost, but for them it is just programming code. The only thing they have to lose is the possibility that overcompensation may cost them from profiting even more off of us. in the pwi company's mind "Let's just not give them anything. If some quit, they quit, at least everyone else will have to buy zen to make up for what they lost, muhuhahaha"... damned evil corporations.0

Actually, from what has been said it kinda does look like they want to properly compensate players. Which is why it's taking a little bit. I mean this kind of compensation would require meetings with the CM, the PWI Board, etc. It wouldn't be an easy task to figure out. Most people probably won't appreciate or be happy with what they get anyway. Of course, expect the people who want "full r9 3rd+12 JOSD" gear for compensation b:chuckle

Zen transfers made during the rollback period are being returned to the accounts effected. So, hopefully no one lost any real cash. If they haven't received it yet they should file a billing ticket.

I disagree. They probably will want to give something that is going to keep their players. No players, means no income. Rollbacks are a huge thing to come back from. Everybody rages and everybody's pissed off that they lost things.

I lost quite a bit due to the rollback and my hubby lost even more. b:sad
But I won't be quitting anytime soon. No matter what the ragers say... in fact, I wont even see what most the ragers say since the weekend is coming and that's when I get my most play time in :P

The hardest part is that my wife lost all her jolly jones tokens, those didn't come back and she had saved hundreds and started doing them to get her gear as she got 99 after the rollback, so she lost about 300 jolly jones tokens that were not returned, thats a permanent 20m loss that isn't made up just with time or double drops xp etc. As well as timed items still having their timers run down, especially timed charms.0
