Thank You Giveaway

I know this is a bit random, but I thought I'd do something like a raffle each month as a
"thanks for coming/participating" gift.

So, on the 20th of each month, I'll do a random drawing on a randomizer website, and give out
coin prizes to the winner(s).

How to gain raffle entries?

1. Leave a relevant comment to a blog post - one raffle per blog entry
   
2. Be captured in one of my screenies for one raffle entry
   
3. Answer a question in game that will be used for a blog entry for a raffle
   
4. Leave an idea for a blog entry I can use for a raffle
   
5. Post your own version of a blog entry on this blog for 2 raffle entries
   

I will try my best to mix up who I put on the screenshots/ask questions to.

You can be from any server, and the coin will vary from ~1m to ~10m, number of winners also depending on the number of participants each month.

Hello everyone!

All good things must come to an end. Winter break is over. First Week of 2012 is over.

Today, I was a little tired and lazy from everything so I conducted a short survey regarding the question of The End.



The forum is a place of gathering usually for the most opinionated players. I tried to grab people that I haven't seen on the forums.

I traveled to Archosaur, Lost City, and Sanctuary and posed the following question to 3 players:

"If PWI announced that it will be shutting down in 1 week, how would your react?"

Archosaur

I was a little taken back with this answer, but hey, I've been playing for a loooong time.

Pcity: "shocked pist of"

Zapharly: "<.< i would be enraged. most of my friends are here on this server."

Most of my friends have moved on, or they still play, but it's just not the same anymore.

Lost City

I really liked the positive answer of this player. I was actually hopefully for more answers like this.

I'm not sure how I would react. Sure I play for maybe 30min every other day now, but I have a lot of stuff acquired, and quite a few memories.

Tbh, this game is the only MMO I've ever played and really enjoyed despite the "interesting" company employees that run it. I've had so many great times with people and it took all my might to get to 100. However, if it shuts down or something, idk, right now I'm trying to focus more on my studies, so I'm not sure if I'm going to breally upset or not. xD

If PWI would be shut down... I'd be sad, frustrated and angry. I really love my characters and invested much time into playing... sure I could just take the OCs I shaped with me... but that wouldn't change the fact that the time I spend was for nought.

Hello peoples!

It seems like yeah, most of us would be pretty sad. We really did put a lot of time into the game the last several years.

Btw - if you have any game suggestions, please PM me.

Today is Cleric Day in my mind, and I conducted a semi little experiment. I remember just logging into cleric and randomly buffing people. I have been randomly buffed.

I decided to go to Archosaur and randomly buff people and see how many "Thank You" or variations of it I could get.

Seeing as I only have high level clerics on Heaven's Tear, that's the only server I tested on.

If you have clerics on any other server, test it out and post your results!

So off I go, seeing the buzzing traffic of people going to and fro, here and there.

Buff buff buff!

People Buffed: 20
Asked for buffs: 1
Thank You's received: 3

I understand that when you're playing, you often don't notice that you're being buffed (or you don't need it, so you kinda say 'meh' and move on) but, I did have higher expectations of "ty."

Oh well.

This little cleric buffs no more.

P.S. I'll update the raffle count as we near the 20th. Thanks.

But yea, I mostly forget that I got buffs and don't buff randoms unless you ask me. xD

Hm an idea for a blog... How abouuut: Mounts are their owners. Who got a fitting mount to their outfit/looks and who completely goes crazy with his/her choice of ride? >:]

Hm, since I started making a cleric I have had a total of ONE person asking for my buffs. I buffed/healed maybe 1 random person because he was about to die. :c Usually people have buffs on and my computer doesn't like to show buffs sometimes so I don't wanna overwrite anything. The 1 person i did buff didn't say thank you tho.
But usually, if I'm in a squad with a cleric, i don't say thank you because it's their job to buff... No one thanks me when I give bramble/archer buff

Also, I did think of an idea for your blog... it's not completely thought out though, but I figure I'd give you the idea and let you sort out the rest...

The idea is pretty much stalking out at the starting points... and watching as new character's log in to see what they do...

*remembers my first time logging in ever on the game, I didn't know what to do so I stood still for minutes and then I roamed the starting area to figure out what I was suppose to do..... then I felt embarrassed as I realized the people near the buildings were NPCs and I was suppose to talk to them*b:sweatb:surrender

Alas, the joy of being a Cleric.

My Clerical input;
Before I legit leveled a Cleric, I'd go on my bf's and head to Broken Bow Bluff.
After that? Buff nabs like crazy. A lot of the time, I do get thank yous. It can feel good.

After leveling a Cleric, I still did buff people just because, I also got a lot of people asking for a res/buffs. Playing a Cleric made me learn not take any BS from people, it's not wise to allow yourself to be blamed or stepped on.

Also, you can take me out of the raffle, at the moment I am just semi-playing for the sake of something to do.

On a side note, I forgot to mention it in my last post, but as a cleric, I've noticed a LOT of random guild invites. I might of gotten asked 3 times out of the 15+ invites I've gotten since I leveled my cleric to 20. b:surrender
It's really crazy, I think the most I got in one hour was 5...
