How do you feel about the free-PVP in SP?

Hi my name is Tsamaris
I am not happy with the pvp that opened up in secrete passage. Now i can not do the quest that there is in there is like The wheel, the poison mobs, Shade edio and dismal shade Silver frost Etc.How in the heck to u do them with out being pked i think is this a very bad idea cause we ppl that play PVE can not now enjoy doing these quest they r now out of bounds cause of the dam pkers. How is pwi going to help ppl get these quest done when there part of the game. The other is what happens when a person that has put money into the game looses some if not all there items is pwi going to compensate this. I hope so cause i need to do these quest and if i loose anything i am holding pwi head hochos responsible for this and i not just talking about me i am talking about all people
that play the PVE part and enjoy it, not pking people. So I leave this What on earth were You Thinking when you PUT IN THIS PVP IN SECRETE PASSAGE AND WHAT COMPENSATION R U GOING TO GIVE FOR NOT ABLE TO DO THE QUEST AS LISTED ABOVE AND IF PEOPLE LOOSE ITEMS THAT THEY PAID FOR LIKE MOUNTS CLOTHING ETC. I will be waiting for a response to this one. I am very much not a happy camper I being on the game sinse it came aboard and loved it

You can't drop items in secret passage, so you can't lose them.

My logic is, I can't PK people who need those quests, because they must be higher level than me to deal with Silver Frost.

Right.

Because it's totally impossible to kill a Cleric who's currently preoccupied with keeping someone ELSE alive. Or poke a tank juuuuuuuuuuuuuust enough that Silver kills them. Or pick off the DD that may or may not be fairly squishy, despite having a level advantage. Or hell...just stunning the tank or healer so Silver rampages.

Guys keep in mind, there was a thread with this update that stated 2 rooms where added to SP. These might not be released yet and they might put teleporters to that room once entered into SP so tech they might have moved it away from where people quest. We will have to wait and see if this is true.

There's absolutely no penalty for death when you get killed in there (unless you're charmed). Which means the only thing you have to lose is time, which compared to the other **** we have to put up with, isn't that hard to deal with.

Why on earth have the PK button if you force everyone whether they click on it or not to be on PK mode?
And what of those people that pked in SP before the rule was changed?

Please fix the system so those of us who do NOT want to pk can be allowed to enjoy our game while still allowing those that enjoy PK to enjoy theirs. Ensure that only those folks that click the PK button will be subjected to PK environment.
Leave the rest of us who enjoy questing & spending time with our friends alone.

I ask why not make a entirely new instance that allows pk in a non pk server? SP is a low lvl place where as of now they can't walk in the door to do quests without being slaughtered despite announcing they are there just to do quests.

I'm pretty much against it unless the front room is still a SZ. Then I'm neutral. They should have used a different instance for it, not one where lowbies go to quest. Not even blue name protects you in there. Annnnnnnd for the record, if you port into fb29 to do your "bosses" or "quests" in SP, i hope the GMs know that if you leave fb29, it doesn't take you right outside the SP port-in. It takes you to the beginning of the SP (? last I checked, otherwise it takes you to Hidden Orchid... which is just as bad.)

SP is no w known as The Fail PK zone.

It's where the goonies ( people who leveled up via a well known glich and never were banned for it ) go to show how powerful they are one-shooting lvl 30'sh people.

Goonies are very special people indeed, and must have their way, so PWI alows them to have their own pk spot ( although it was bannable before).

Thank you PWI for allowing theses special people to stay among us showing us how to play in a pro way

Wow, I didn't know there were so many people who support the idea of killing lowbies in SP. I mean, I know there are lots of people who do it, but most of them wouldn't dare advocate their actions in public. They know it makes them look bad.

This is basically confirming that PWI appreciates their higher level jerks more than any new players who might become interested in the game (durrr kinda obvious anyway). How nice, an entire instance with a never-ending rotation of weak vulnerable players for you to pick off in order to feel like a champion.

It's already sad enough that you people are too scared to roll on a pvp server. Now you gotta catch lowbies off guard in order to get kills? I hope all of you wander out into the same street and get hit by the same bus lol.

so why not just enable the Arena's, they are PvP enables, you do not drop items...and best of all...you can fly and use your normal mounts, which is most closely resembling a "true" PvP experience in regards to TW and open world PK...

beyond that, just lazy...why not the entrance to the FB79 area instead?

To be honest it's stupid and ridiculous to have this in such an area. Earlier I needed to kill Dismal Shade as a quest on my veno. A friend of mine decided to come help. You think she could get past all the people? No, they killed her. I managed to get past luckily. We then had to call in my sin and another friend to escort her through there. I mean, seriously. people need quests in there. Move the quests (mobs and bosses) elsewhere if you must. How are people meant to get things done with all these higher levels killing you non stop..

question for closed-beta oldbies: did they ever bother explaining, or making any sort of excuse at all, for why they closed the arenas in the first place? or was it just a "closed now, come back later, sorry-they're-gone" scam way back when?

edit: a bit of searching on these forums seems to have answered my question for me. judging by the questions that got asked here in GD back in late 2008/early 2009, closing the arena was actually even MORE of a treat-them-like-mushrooms, utter clusterfsck than the SP debacle of right now is.

Yeah, arena was open in closed beta, but not in open beta. I know since I actually went into the arena once during closed beta.

I actually disagree that secret passage would be the worst possible place for this open pvp. I think west archosaur would be worse.b:laugh

No, that would be much better. All the lag can switch to South Archosaur instead. b:laugh

As for the arena, its like Zoe said, its been closed ever since open beta. They never gave a real explanation for it, we just kept being told that they would tell us something when they were given an update.

It's pretty bad when I'm trying to help some of the lower people in my faction out, then I get attacked just as I enter. The barb attacks me but then the seeker kills me. I enter again and a sin kills me. The third time a sin was nice enough to cover me and my squad so we could reach bh 29.

I gues you didnt' actually bother reading that post in the thread u mention. I'll clear this up for you. THE DEVS ARE F"ING IDIOTS. Those 2 rooms were for the WORLD TOURNY. they SCREWED up the coding, making the ENTIRE SP PK'ed enabled. Now remember we get updates later then they do over there, and also remember the tourney wasnt' long ago (a month... maybe?). And remember the tourney was in china.

So here's what happened..... They updated their chinese version to have the tourney rooms, f'ing up SP in the process. A month later we get the coding that changed that, and instead of FIXING IT, they go "Pk's now allowed in SP again, cept now EVERYONE"S targetable... adn Frack you if you actualyl want to play the game and not go into PK mode. Quests? You dont' need to bother doing those anymore.... just give us money and buy heads to get 100"......

ya......... I'm seriously considering never spending another dime on this game (i only spent 10 bucks a month but hey... and i've been playing for like 3 years now...... cept that one year break). I've seen so much b.s., so much stupidity (comign from their end), but this takes the cake..... a GM basically TELLING US F.U., you dont' need to play the actual game anymore, we're not letting you do your quests. How stupid is this specially on PvE servers. If there were no quests inside SP then go for it, but why should anyone be subjected to PK's when they have absolutely no desire or interest in it.

SP IS A LOW LEVEL QUEST AREA AND I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS ABOUT GETTING IN THROUGH OTHER MEANS. NEW PLAYERS TO PWI DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THESE WAYS ARE .

This is just another thing that clearly demonstrates that the devs from time to time have absolutely no consideration for the over all general health of their players in PWI. It also clearly demonstrates their laziness, that instead of making a new area accessible through SP for blue zoned PvP, they simply delete or add 1 line of code enabling PvP in that instance. They fix what is NOT BROKE while ignoring glitches in FB 59 - 89 and other glitches that have been in game since it started 3 years ago.

PWI needs to do 1 of 2 things. Move all of the quests out of SP into a new area so lowbies can work them without interference by slap-happy-pk-lowbie players or make a new instance that's blue PK enabled where those that choose to enter do so by their own choice. This "FORCE" PvP on PvE servers is out right ****. This only goes to show you the lack of intelligence that PWI devs display time and time again.

I like it. Gives PvE servers' blue names a taste of PK without worrying about dropping anything. Would be better if there was an instance that's opened at all times dedicated to this sort of thing. Low levels wouldn't have to worry about getting pk'ed in there then.

Next to that, the difference between pvp and pve -is- in fact skill to actually take out another player, the risk of losing something when you do this often enough, shattering of gear when being careless and the open map revenge fight bonanza's.

i dont see any of the above mentioned in killing a undergeared quester or i-just-ported-in-and-am-still-in-the-loadingscre...-wtf-i'm-dead.

That downright being lazy and spamming tab+faceroll without any consequence.
