It doesn't seem to be real random.
In a 3 or higher ppl squad it appears to only switch aggro to the next best DD after the leading one.
Meaning clerics dont get attacked.

Yes, GMs or Devs (whoever is resposible) made it impossible for a Arcane to do Nirvana now, thanks alot bunch of **** heads
Now i get continues agro with my +10 nirvana glaive, not their ranged magic attack, no, their Melee physical attack on my Arcane armor, wtfffff .................

Just did a 10 min run... it's not really any harder for a squad stacked with fisters but a decent cleric is needed now.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Just did a few runs as well.
Takes maybe 5-10 mins longer with an average squad we went.
I kind'a liked it actually Lots more fun.
The sealing ain't that bad. It's like the 1st boss, but just on all others as well. The random agro.... um If my squishy cleric could take hits from bosses, unless you got really crappy gear you'll be fine.
& I agree with Ast. I'm only going on nirvana now with my archer only if there's a good cleric in squad or it's going to be a pain & tons of potting.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
If you get the boss with the wings, theres a good change youl get sealed at the same time the dark apears, then things can end bad, sins are usely squishy aswell, they gain agro fast and theres simply little to none time for a cleric to change target + heal most of the time specialy when sealed, Group heal takes some time to cast, if you get the final last boss with the aoe and flames, a bad timed seal can cause party whipe no matter what
Some bosses would be ok with that seal and random agro thing, but deffenitly not all
For now gold price wont drop so iam not gonna spend 3-4m on a hp charm wich is gonna last for just a couple NV runs, it causes unneeded frustration and stress for a average squad and specialy the EP, for a high refined interval squad i can see theres no problem anyway0 -

Since you're talking about "normal" squads, where I suppose a puppy is tanking, I'm sure they can take 1-2 extra hits while the cleric takes care of the party...
Already done that boss a few times. It's only a prob if the cleric is very bad & metal maging instead of healing the party, so when aoe hits seal that tank got no staked IH & gets wasted... + If you're going with barbs I'm assuming by 100 they know the skill invoke if they notice others in squad are in trouble...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

its still doable but i swear the bosses are not random.. they are cleric agro. because everytime it seemed like they come after me b:surrender mind you I was healing and not dding at all.
only boss i had problems with was the white/blacks when the person getting blacks would seal, boss would hit me just as the black exploded. had this happen several times over two times we had that boss b:cry I had to town and come back however even with a bm tank we were able to get through it without a party wipe.
I have not had the earth boss in the pentagram room yet not looking forward to it + seal

And the developers did this to prevent farming (isn't this game about farming?). However the ppl who farm instances 10 times faster than the normal squad weren't so affected by these changes. Those who can farm nirvana in 15 min, will keep doing it. The ones who will suffer are the normal people.0 -

Good idea Asila. . . I've done one Nirvana since the update. It was a total nightmare. With 5,6k health I got one-shot off the not-so random AoE-Go-Run boss that hits like a *********************. b:surrender
We actually gave up - and I was in a trio with two 5 atk/sec fisters. So yeah. Bascially, if you get:
1) The Aoe-Go-Run boss...
2) The Frenzy Boss...

Also to note, I've been seeing the phoenix boss glitch into the wall, the fire's it spawns have chased after people for like 15 meters, and so have the blue circles on the first boss.
It's not that awful over all, but I refuse to go unless the cleric has atleast 6k hp, I'll bring a barb if I have to in order to make sure they do.
Usually I just do 5 BMs/Sins and a Cleric.
Sins seemed targeted more often than others to me but it could be coincedence. I've done about 15 runs so far since the update.

I've done a few runs so far since the change and I've yet to die once as an uncharmed cleric going w/ normal geared out ppl (no 5 aps dds). My personal observations after doing them and talking to others:
1. The fail players who have nfi how to play their class, keep ppl buffed, and how to keep themselves alive when things get crazy may as well just STOP trying to do nirvana and uninstall the game cuz nirvana is too hard for them. I got into an argument the other day w/ a barb cuz we had a squishy sin and arhcer nonstop taking aggro getting 3 shot while he was dding in human form (herc trying to tank) and I kept telling him to rebuff them (w/out barb buff they were 1-2 shot) repeatedly.
2. These ppl who have gotten to 100+ and never bothered to work on their gear are a true liability now. I worked my **** off to keep this veno w/ 6k BUFFED alive (w/ no charm). But tbh I didn't mind too much cuz unlike 99% of the venos on HT server 100+ they actually played their class damn well. Most just sit back and daydream and are like "wha I need to purge/amp now?" The buffs on the wood boss were on a MAX of 2 secs each time for example.
3. It's an end game instance; it SHOULD be difficult and require ppl to work together and have decent gear. I like it cuz it's harder so thus the prices will go up cuz all the nubs w/ **** gear and don't know how to play their class will give up on nirvana. I'm one of those masochists who prefers old ff/lunar. Now if I can only stop going w/ those nubs and working my **** off to keep them aliveb:angry.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Well you want at least 5k as cleric in Nirvana to avoid getting 1 shoot by circles/black/white feather.
Even if you play your class very well you can still get 5k booms (same in Frost). If you lag and stand in circle, if someone in party alt-tabs and attacks wrong mob etc. I would never go with a cleric that has like 4k hp.
I prefer having a healer with at least 6k base hp what ever i do, wont drop to fast if shiet goes down <.<0
