I wanna hear all your stereotypes of other classes you've developed from playing Perfect World, cause I know I have a couple. I also hope this can be a light-hearted enough topic that people won't resort to petty bickering about...stupid ****. I just figured this would be a good way for people to blow off steam from fail BH groups, and maybe perhaps even a way to get answers as to why classes act the way they do sometimes.
So let's hear it people. What "habits" of other classes do you hate?

Here's three patterns I've noticed among three classes. Mine are from the perspective of a damage dealer...cause I am one:

Act I: The Cleric Mooch

BH group forms, BH group slowly pushes it's way to the boss. Buffs up and gets ready.

Random member: "When you're ready barb."
Barb: "kk"
Cleric: ANYBODY HAVE MP POTS?
Wiz/Psy: What the f-?! Seriously??
Cleric: FOR SOME REASON, I AM UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT THAT I, A MAGIC CLASS, NEED TO KEEP A GOOD SUPPLY OF MP POTS ON ME AT ALL TIMES. ESPECIALLY DURING DUNGEONS.
Wiz/Psy: You gotta be freaking kidding me.
-Barb almost dead-
Cleric: IT WOULD SEEM AS THOUGH I NEED MP IMMEDIATELY, OR WE WILL ALL DIE.
Barb: For the love of God, please give him pots!! T_T
-Wiz/Psy is forced to drop 10k worth of pots-
Cleric: THANK YOU. YOU KNOW OF COURSE THAT THIS WAS TOTALLY UNEXPECTED FOR ME AND I DID NOT PLAN IT THIS WAY AT ALL.
Wiz/Psy: -rage-

(For the record, I have never encountered a Wiz or Psy who was not carrying enough MP pots)

Act II: The Human Form Barb

-BH group running through a dungeon, killing mobs.-

Psy: Barb, go tiger form please.
Barb: Nah man it's cool, I deal MASSIVE DAMAGE in human form!
Psy: Then why do I keep pulling aggro? Dx
Barb: YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!

Stop attacking! You're interfering with my awesomeness!
Cleric, why are you healing him?! Heal me! I'm the tank!

Cleric: ;>.>
Psy: Well if I'm not supposed to attack then why am I here? D8
Why don't you just go Tiger form? Then I can attack and we'll kill quicker.
Barb: YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!

If I go Tiger form, then I hit 1.4k instead of 2.1k.

Psy: YEAH and if you go Human Form, then I'm forced to go White Voodoo to keep myself from pulling aggro. Then my damage goes from 7k to 2k.
Barb: YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!

I AM A MASSIVE DAMAGE DEALER! b:cool

Psy: -rage-

ACT III - The Arrogant Assassin

-Party doing BH, needs to kill a gatekeeper-
Assassin: Heh, don't worry guys; I'll take care of 'em. b:cool
Random Member: ...Or we could just go together. It's safer and quicker that way.
Assassin: Sorry, I'm too BADASS for teamwork. b:cool
Random Member: ...Fine. -_- Go ahead.

-Assassin runs ahead carelessly, realizing that he may be in over his head, as his target is quite strong and he's accidently aggroed some other nearby mobs-

Random Member: ...You ok?

-Assassin runs back to the group, four mobs following him, then disappears into thin air-

Random Member: Holy ssshhhhhh-

-Chaos breaks out in the party, everyone dies-

-Assassin reappears-

Assassin: Hey...

...You guys died.

But I didn't. b:cool

And this is why.... BH's are the most deceitful and torturous way ever invented to make us all want to kill ourselves.

-Fin-

Now I wanna hear yours.

Maybe it depends on the server. Sure as hell happens in Harshlands.

I actually got the idea for this thread when a cleric in my BH group today said he didn't have pots, I commented about clerics always mooching off the other magic users, and a Wiz in the party immediately bursted out saying "OMG YES. It's so annoying!"

I've seriously lost over 150k worth of pots from footing the bill for clerics. There's no freaking excuse for that, as I'm fairly certain Psys and Clerics consume about the same amount of MP. We both spam high MP moves every two seconds, and because of that, I NEVER leave home without having at least 30 pots. Logically it doesn't make sense either: why would any sensible person wait until the boss to speak up about it? Or think that their constant meditation between fights will work when the boss fight comes?

Nowadays I always give them a tough time when they forget pots and tell them how much money I've lost from them. Only one cleric ever paid me back, though. :c

    The E-Peen Competition

Too lazy to write a scenario for this but I'm sure many of you are quite familiar with it. Basically, it's when you get 2 DDs (doesn't matter which) who decide to play a game of 'who can steal aggro from the tank'. Usually it's started unintentionally when someone mentions how much damage they did (ie, Archer: i jus crit for 7k 5 times in a row =D) but is often followed by 1 or more of the other DDs attempting to 'one up' the first person's damage. The TB classes seem very prone to this sort of behavior.

Meanwhile, the poor barb is desperately fighting a losing battle to keep aggro so they squad doesn't die. =/

I'll admit to doing this, though not with that intent. xD

I used to play a Barb, ages ago before Tideborn even existed, so I'm not used to high damage. Whenever I hit 17k or 19k or 29k on a crit, I said it because I found it so ridiculously high. Found it funny because it was so unbelievable to me. Stopped doing it though, cause now I'm used to the damage.

Other than that I know some Clerics hate Psys cause we steal aggro. Honestly though, I can't think of a time where I stole an aggro when it was risky, and not once has me stealing aggro gotten someone ELSE killed; if I do take the risk, I make sure it only puts me in danger. I'm always standing away from the cleric for just that reason. It's also usually the case that, by the time I DO steal aggro, the mob will NEVER be able to reach me; it'll die on it's way to me. Besides that, we have Psychic Will and all sorts of tricks up our sleeves to keep us safe, but I can understand the cleric being annoyed by it; they dunno what a Psychic is thinking/planning and dunno if they can trust you to use the tricks properly. For them it's just another potential problem that causes them to worry.

Depends on the squad and who they are, if they are friends or cool people i will throw up BB and tell them to enjoy. If they are randoms i just heal the tank and let them kill themselves and congratulate them when they are dead, then tell them next time learn to DD properly without stealing agrob:cute.

I'm talking about random squads. BH isn't so terribly difficult that you need a squad where everyone knows what they're doing (well, at least up until 59, haven't done anything higher yet).

Sadly this is true with 90% of FF squads b:surrender.

Personally, i don't see the need for a herc at all and will take a veno no matter what pet aslong as i know they are a good veno and know how to play their class. Others however, insist that the veno must have a herc and will ignore the players skill level which is sad imo.

I have seen pets other than herc's tank on the usual bosses such as bishops popper and nix for example.

The quest you get at the start is level 85+ but the reason will be because of xp, the smaller the level range of the squad the more xp everyone will get.

I've only seen one time where a psy/mage didn't bring MP pots, that was on astral in 2-3 where the mage stops attacking and sits down in the middle of a fight.

Although to be fair it may happen more often when I'm focusing on the boss. It's certaintly a lot less noticeable when a mage or psy runs out of MP. If a mage/psy runs out the boss just takes a bit longer to die, when a cleric runs out the squad wipes.

I think sometimes people have unrealistic expectations of other classes. Some people expect every veno to have a herc, some people expect clerics to bring you from almost dead to full HP with one skill, some people expect every barb to have 20k+ hp. I've had TT squads with people that expected me to have an HP charm on at all times. Rather annoying when people are like "What do you mean you don't use a 1mil+ hp charm in an instance where you get mats worth half the charm cost?" People expect the venos that do have hercs to be able to solo everything, seen TT squads where people expected a level 85 herc veno to be able to tank wurlord in 2-3 with her herc.

Some people overestimate levels needed, some people think that you can't kill X boss without being a high level. I've seen many people that say they have to have a level 70+ barb tank Jewelscalen.

They are the weakest link, goodbye?

On a side note, I rarely ever carry MP pots. I should have more, really, but I have a fondness for MP food. In complete contrast to this, I always have HP pots handy, but never HP food. I just don't have enough HP to need it.

I expect the casters to have enough MP pots/food/whatever to last them, but sometimes we all forget to double check stock and so I can appreciate somebody genuinely running out by accident. (These are the people who will give you back spare pots and, in some cases, buy back the pots they used, so you lose nothing.)

But I agree that expectations are starting to get silly. It's not even a case of the bar being raised higher, it's a simple case of stupidity. No, a Herc cannot tank everything in existence. And since when did a Veno need to have a Herc, without dispute, to make it into your squad? If you're going to do that, why not just limit your squad members to those who have stuff worth $200 or more? Be fair.

I use more MP pots on my 92 BM than my 76 cleric. Larger mana pool on the latter.

    My personal experiences with stereotypes...

    Cleric
    - WTF IS PURIFY????? (I've had that so many times, and some people wonder why I'm dualboxing...)
    - Oh you have aggro. Sorry busy talking in faction chat lol.

    Barb
    - Let me tank it. I'm a better tank than you are... even though you're a high BM and I'm a 40 barb. (I had a guildie who did that... well, he's no longer a guildie... I was about 85-88 back then)
    - To hell with tiger form, I don't like looking like a white tiger! And it sucks, I deal no damage!
    - What's a tank? ... You mean I shouldn't have 235 str at lv49 as a barb? (The entire story is too long, but the guy I helped out on my own barb had 2.5k HP in tiger form. He had zero clue about what a tank was. And it wasn't his first RPG. I spent 10 minutes keeping explanations to a very simple level of French - he was a French-speaking guy, and so am I - about stats distribution. He later PMed me begging me to duel him, because he was sure he was going to beat me.)

    Archer
    - LOL I CRIT SO HARD I TOOK AGGRO, WOW I'M GUD!!!!! I STEAL AGGRO!!!! (I killed my party but IDC, I STOLE AGGRO!!!!!).

    Sin
    - I'm awesome. Here, let me run within these mobs. And then let me run back to you as I've forgotten my stealth.
    - And I pull the "LAWL CRIT!!!!!!!!!!" thing too.

    BM
    - I'm awesome too. Look at what I can do. I can pull 50 mobs and not die! 5 seconds later: OMFG CLERIC HEAL ME I'M GONNA DIE. Another 5 seconds later: WHY DID U HEAL ME?????? I'M AWESOME!!!!! (sadly, roughly the jist of some BM who kept running past me in some BH51, I was in my mid/high 80's...)
