In terms of the sales --> It is not surprising to me that Orbs went on sale. But what has surprised me is the timing. It is inevitable that Gold goes sky high during Orb sales, but it was never really much higher then 350k. Having the Orbs on top of the Anniversary Packs? GG

However, given the trend of sales, I really think things will calm down after the Anniversary packs. Maybe giving us some time to breathe. Prices will still be stupid, but at least not atrocious. I do not think we will see Gold go much lower the 250k for a little while. It just seems as though once everything was somewhat leveling out, we got smacked...lol

I am just thankful that money is not too much of an issue for me, but keeping up with these prices, I might quickly run out. And for those who are going to give me the charm vs. pots talk = Pots work fine in normal grinding and such (which I rarely if ever do) but in PvP, TW and some instances....I do not have time to deal with pots and there cool-down (even if in a hotkey).

My prediction: Socket Stone sale, it has been a while and with the levels and "new" gear from packs, people will want to socket. (Although some of the amounts of sockets needed b:surrender...Heavenrage boots = 3k socket for 3rd and for 4th 13k b:shocked)

my entire guild quit. my friendslist is offline all day every day. my bff quit. no one pvp's because 98% can't afford to. when i did fly a WQ last week, there were towns that were completely empty. Sanc. had 2 people in it, one being myself. i keep thinking that GM's will step in soon and stop the mass exodus of players, but it seems as if they do not care.

no GM's may not control the sales nor what is added to the game. but they are our voice to the people who do. so imo they do carry some weight on what happens. maybe lay off the sales for a bit? let people recover and prices recover. maybe listen to the upset players rather than brushing them off? not trying to tell you how to do your job, just offering suggestions that might help you retain the players that haven't already left.

I pity those who spent $1000s' on this event for a soon-to-be dead game.

I myself have barely been online the past week, and i dont miss the game at all.

I agree with the smart, logical ones in this thread. The one's who see that these sales are killing off the non cash shoppers and see it's hard to "keep up" in this game. This is ridiculous.

You can't grind 400-500k constantly for just 1 GOLD to get the good things in the boutique. You just can't. This game is based solely who can cashshop more and for a very good game - they've run it down, really down. So much for a FREE-TO-PLAY game. If you wanted my money - i'd pay 20 a month and have a balanced game not try to spend 1000s to "keep up" its stupid. They need to fix it, but they won't. They cashed out real good I'll give them props for that, but they fail at balancing a very good game out.

They fail. and it's sad - this game was really fun to play in the beginning, not it's just frustrating with the prices and unbalanced part of it.

Actually it is technically a speculation or if expanded maybe a hypothesis....

It has nothing to do with cashing out, and I don't feel like the orb sale is what caused the inflation, as it was present before it started. I do understand your concerns and I am asking that sales are kept to a minimum, but expecting no more sales is unrealistic. I really think the new expansion is going to change a lot of things, folks won't be as angry over the recent addition of the item that makes getting end game gear easier when the new content is released.

Right now it's just really hard to be able to satisfy everyone without giving out too much information about what is to come. I assure you that when the expansion things get completely confirmed that we will release more information about our upcoming content, but I can't release incomplete information.

Until then if you see me silent on topics like this, it is because I recognize that there is nothing I can say that will satisfy everyone, do not take my silence as inactivity though, I'm not going to stop giving all of your feedback in my reports and I will continue to work toward a solution.

Well that's the real kicker, since the expansion is still being worked on so any information I give would be preliminary and most likely not accurate to the finished product. I do think that dropping thousands of dollars on those boxes may be a bit much, I only really bought 5 myself, but if people really want to it's hard to stop them.

The main thing PWE is worried about though, is releasing information too early, just to have it get changed down the line. That would cause even more problems then there are now.

I agree with you on all points.

And I was never suggesting that the Orbs "caused" all of the inflation. However, this compounded with the other sales is a tough pill to swallow (for lack of a better expression).

The new expansion may or may not help. Although I know quite a few people who will be re-rolling at least to try them out.

And no, you cannot please everyone and the GM's information is limited. But bringing this type of thing to your and other GM's attn. is the starting point. It is just frustrating to see so many things going on at one time and seeing people leave because of it. Others may be leaving for separate issues, fine let them, but if looking at another stand point, those that are spending thousands of dollars (which I know many)...GG...but there money to spend. '

It is not all the cs'ers that are causing this. I know many (and I have myself) that buy gold low and sit on it till things like this happen. BUT, these are not small sales stacked, these are major b:surrender

Also, in all honesty, at no point should anyone ever expect a GM to answer a post. Like in this case, there/your information may be as limited as ours. You all just take the bulk of the rants because you are the most visible.

This post was meant to open a discussion that was civil and I think that it has been so far. Other posts are too heated and I refuse to let that happen in this one.

I agree. Many of us felt that an Orb sale was coming but expected either the Labor Day weekend or after the event.

I think the Anniversary packs and Charm Packs were enough.

And if it is a money/sale thing (speculation on my part)....there might have been more of it if the Orb's were on sale after the event, as more people might have the items to refine. Also, putting the 10 pack of 1* Orbs and putting those on sale might have been nice. I only say this because those that may do some but little cs cannot or may not be able to take advantage of this sale after spending what they could for the packs. (Speaking in generalization obviously)

This is the same thing a GM is going to tell you every time. Spoons, Xar, etc. have pounds of authority and tons of responsibility. Not fair but that's how it is.

Really, all it comes down to is this:
If we think balance is shot they hope we'll hang around and see what happens after the expansion to see if we can tolerate it and get back in the mix.
If we don't think balance is shot they have no concerns about us whatsoever.

Newsflash: This is happening anyway, most of the 'quitters' are really 'stop-playing-while-I-wait-and-seers' and I guess most of these negative posters are same?

Problem with this is that some of us played the wait-and-see game with PW-MY and it's hard to watch this all again without having nightmarish, deja vu images popping into our heads on a regular basis.

It's hard to stand around watching things unfold when you know there is more to a story and NOT jump to conclusions.
And you're right spoons, telling us about stuff will lead to worse flare-ups after if it doesn't materialize.
But what's happening now, the rumors and speculation, not to mention 'quitters' doesn't bode well.
I am guessing that some serious changes need to occur in the next update or you're going to see the 'wait-and-seers' become true 'quitters' and then the revolving door of lowbies will begin. And we all know that environment leads to the worst possible type of 'gaming community'.

This is a Game, not a Place where Teenagers/Adults blow their paychecks on because 2 other UNNAMED games Don't appeal to them.

PWI entertainment Appeals to alot of people. this is ridiculous. I expected the Rebirth glitches to be fixed by now, along with the fb59 earth boss. I refuse to use the cash shop at all until these issues are fixed. We're not gonna pay the gm's to make rich people Imbalanced as ****. if we wanted that we'd find another game that gets gutted by the cash shop, and has less vital glitches.

The cash shop is a Luxury. It SHOULD remain that way. You shouldn't have to depend on the cash shop to play. That IS more or less P2P, and as we all know, 2 other unnamed games Are P2P, and on some levels, blow PWI out of the water.

Your posts are hard to read. It makes it difficult to understand your meaning when it's hard to read.

It would also help if you were to finish setting up your profile on the forum (server/class/level) so your icon reflects what you are and where. This helps people understand issues specific to certain servers. Often people make quickie user logins here to spam. Not filling out your info and staying anonymous makes you look like you want to stay anonymous, and are unwilling to back up your statements with your reputation.

And, once you get past the puctuation, you last few messages have been rude, long before anyone else was rude to you.

Easy fix. Let the Gms/Devs put a cap on gold sell and gold buy prices. Let's say the maximum you can sell is at 200k and the minimum you can buy is at 100k. That would fix all the complaints about high gold prices and would stabilize and set prices for all the other items on the market.

Not that much "authority," they are Customer Service Representatives. They have bosses that let them know what is going on and they get told what they are on a need to know basis, as it is in all businesses.

My post is not meant to have the GM's bagged on because it is not and was not their decision for this sale(s).

However, I think that they and others with the company should be readinand paying attn, as I think this is one of the more productive and non-flame threads.

That made no sense, and it is the Dev's that fix the glitches, not the GM's.

I am sure they are just as frustrated about these things as we are. Especially considering that many of them play on "regular" characters and spend there money on the game as well. Ans especially considering that they have to deal with the/any game glitches as well.
