Since with this guide you can probably save up quite some money and mounts (Panthers being the cheapest) are frequently on sale in Arco, what would be their place in this economy analysis?

    - they're obviously faster than running or flying mounts (which can be used cost free). Fuel consumption being 25c per 5 minutes (or spend none and avoid mobs) Would the initial expense of purchase (ca 800-900K) be made up by the advantages of getting faster to places (allowing more grind time and more items)?

It surely makes up some of it's cost... but will it make up it's full price before you reach ...let's say LV90?

Wonder what people with knack in math and economics will say?

Mount money won't be made back easily, it's just something people like to buy with the cash they've saved up. All it really does is stop people from teleporting all the time.

It's a pretty good guide but there are a few things i don't agree with.

    1. Your ABSOLUTELY WRONG about selling everything to the npc. ESPECIALLY DQ'S!!!! I made a shop and in one day made 50k selling Dq's at 1k a piece... you see them in shops for 1.8k and in the same shop they will be buying them for 400 (no one is that dumb). I just sell them at 1k and they go fast. I'm talking about the first banker quest (soft fur, mystic meat, etc.) The other quests would probably sell for more. (now i have over 70 k and over 70k worth of dq's and at lvl 23 (also bought a 40k flying mount)

    2. I sell all good armour and **** to the npc cus takes too long to sell. In this game you can either make or find most of the equips you need and they'll usually be pretty good so no point in buying some from someone elses shop.

With all due respect.. you're level 23.. you don't know a whole lot about the economics here..

Oh yeah.. you kinda wasted your 40k on a flying mount.. you'll see why once you hit level 30.
    Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.

It is clear the guide is for beginners and mid-lvl players and of course for the wondering 'how come i`m poor' high-lvl players.
That being clear, the guide is awsome, short, well packed, and very self explanatory.

Of course, any high lvl player might say: "yes, BUT... i did THAT and i`m RICH, and it's not in your guide!"

One answer to that: the game is still young, the players haven't explored all ways of making money and YES, we are all happy there are no item grinders and price exploiters yet(not many, anyway, hope will continue like that). I quit conqueronline, wow and silkroad due to heavily exploatation by players or builders and i`ll always quit a game that becomes a slave to either one of them.

Balance and general game equilibrium is something hard to achieve and costs a lot of money: BUT EVERYTHING starts with people that DISREGARD guides like this one.

I give credit not to the creator of this guide, but to his mentality, and i hope more and more people will adhere to the idea of balanced ingame economy.

I also add separately that i'm not a rich guy, but i will support the game developers by buying a few items, if not periodically, then at least once in a while.

footnote: i play mmorpg's since runescape apeared. imho i've learned a few lessons since then.

One thing remains: Have Fun!!! :)

No, what fuzzles meant is that he payed 40K for the aerocraft which you get for free anyway.

Yeah. And that person bought one, not realizing he'd get one for free at lvl 30. So he wasted his money.

From experience, it is very easy to gain money. I am a level 13 Cleric and I have 30k. Without spending any of my money I probably would have around 70k. Just go grind. *shurg* it's simple.

    B) Don't buy NPC items

NPC items are NOT worth the price you pay for them, though I suppose shards are an exception to that rule. If you need items, buy them from players or the auction. This especially goes for equipment. Usually, blue two-stars in the auction are cheaper than white 1-star NPC items.

Is it really true? Most of the time the prices are much much higher O.o ( i am really bad in shopping XD )

Yes, NPC stuff is way more expensive. Even if the player-sold item is the same price as the NPC one, the player-sold one will have bonuses, like sockets and stats. Don't forget, NPC stuff has NO sockets and NO additional stats. They're not worth whatever they may cost.
Small exception is lvl 1-20 or so though, no one bothers to sell equips for those levels.

This guide is really helpful. Thx alot. It needs a stickyb:victory

One thing though. Can stuff in the item mall/boutique be bought with coins?

yes it can, go to any auctioneer, go to the gold trading tab, deposit as much money as you want, type in the amount of gold you want to buy and how much for each and whoever is selling that gold for the same price will automatically sell it to you. When you get the gold it returns to you gold trading account which you will have to withdraw the gold from, then use that gold to buy stuff from the botiqe by pressing O on your keyboard.

Ps. gold usualy sells for about 100,000

I already do most of this stuff. I am of course lazy sometimes and tele to places but I do it as little as possible.

The other night I noticed that although I had not been doing DQ's I still had all my items and was hording them for no reason at all. I sold all but 20 of each and got 600K from an NPC. I also have a lot of herbs and plan on setting up a cat shop in front of an apoth and selling them for under what the others are charging. LOL. Drive the prices down!!!

    Thanks for the guide.

Such an attitude on that one. I disagree with the tone, but the first part could be helpful for some people. Set up your catshop to sell DQ's for profit when you sleep (e.g. 1500-DQ20, 2500-DQ30, and so on). If you have money on hand, also set up buys at the same price as NPC - if these sell next time you wander away, you've just made a decent profit. If you are heading off grinding then unload them at an NPC.

Someone had mentioned banking your money a few posts back, and I definitely agree with that. Keep only as much money on hand as you would need for that session - to upgrade a few skills and buy a few pots, really - and keep the rest stashed. Deposit when you're done grinding. Less cash on hand means you have time to think about what you're buying as you head to the banker.

    Hi all
I'm brand new and got too far away for everything and need to get back to the beginning. Also some really REALLY newbie questions about the guide.
First off, looks really good and helpful except for a couple of things for me.
    What is:
    grinding?
the other letter thingies dg ect. ?
ok, I'm though showing off my extream ignorance.
Thanks to all for being patient enough to read
And MUCH thanks to any who clear this up for me. (I wish someone would make a dictionary of game terms, like tank and buff??

grinding is when you kill monsters for exp. DQ's are Dragon Quests, or dragon quest items.

I have two suggestions to help save money, and I would like everyone's opinions on them:

    1) Do *not* imbue your equipment with shards.

While the glowing effect is nice, I have come to the conclusion that the benefit does not outweigh the cost of the shards. I regret putting the shards into my current equipment, and I don't foresee myself doing this in the future.

But this is just my opinion, and I would really like to hear what everyone else has to say about it. I'm listening with an open mind on this one.

    2) Research and Shop ahead of time for equipment.

Research what you will be wearing a few levels ahead of when you can actually wear the item. Decide if you are going to invest in a mold item or not, whether to wear a quest reward item or a normal item.

Then, do your shopping a few levels ahead of when you can actually wear the item. This way, you have a much better chance of coming across a good deal. Because of this, I think I've bought almost all my non-mold gear for 50k or less (I'm in my 60s when I made this post).

When you start doing the Crazy Stone quest, one great way to wait out the 10 minutes is to go to the auction house and see what gear has been put up. I have already bought all of my gear for the next 5 levels, and now I have nothing to spend my money on.

Hey, Im a new player here... I always loved the economic part of a mmorpg game, dont ask me why .. buying, selling.. fun fun fun. Buuut... I was kinda shocked about the prizes of PW after playing Last Chaos before this. Everything is so.. CHEAP. lol. But then, LC got its economy screwed up but still.. Many things work very different from what Im used to, so...

I was wondering about the production material and gear that u make urself.. At the moment I havent tried to sell any of this, because Im using all of it to get the exp of my crafting skills so I can lvl them.. Yet I see loads and loads of this low lvl production material (golden herb, pig iron, sandstone, etc).. But what I wonder is how well does it actually sell and what is it actually worth? Because prizes are so different everywhere. Can I expect to get this sold? And this comes to my 2nd question.. If these arent easely sold, what about if you use all the material that you gather (only gathered urself and not bought) and then craft armor, weapons, etc and hope for good gear and sell those instead?

But then I see that gear doesnt cost that much here (which is very different from Last Chaos).. But then, Im still low lvl and havent seen that many higher gear around. So.. Manufacturing equipment to make money only pays off if the production material are hard to sell, which I know nothing of ^^
