I'm someone who played extensively for about 5-6 months after release and who has been back sporadically since. Still love the game, especially the combat. I feel like I've become bored with NW because group PVE is pretty much dead. Which absolutely should not be the case in a D&D themed game. Other than a couple of…
It's funny how so many well-geared, reasonably skilled PVPers can be lured off point if they think they can snag an easy kill. This is especially true of those running cookie cutter GWF builds. I don't know how many times my HR has led kill-hungry GWFs on epic cross-map chases while at low health. Meanwhile my team wipes…
Sounds to me like there will be at least as much PVE content as the other modules, with some PVP content thrown in to boot. Sounds like a win-win to me. Of course that's speculation. But we'll be finding out soon enough.
Saw the Shard drop once, but have only done maybe 25 or so successful VT 2/2 runs. Four of us agreed to split, so naturally the guy that didn't agree got it. He equipped it immediately, and only afterwards found out how much it was worth. He was, shall we say, a bit nonplussed. I've also seen only one of the basic…
1. TRs are at an extreme disadvantage in PVE. 2. TRs are not immune when stealthed. That you believe this to be true is evidence of your own incompetence rather than TRs being "OP". There are many ways to foil stealthed TRs. 3. Don't let permas keep your entire team busy. Simple as that. You're playing right into their…
I'm not sure if there's a time barrier. I seem to be picking them up at a rate similar to what I did the first time they ran the event . . . rather I'm guessing that only one box drops per fight (I believe the fey blessing enchantments work like this as well). So all you can get from those 50 hulk maps is one box. The…
In fact it's easier to get T2 Gauntlgrym gear as a Luskan since you'll get into PVP no problem, which should net you 6 extra Grym coins per round. This is an at-will called cloud of steel. The more daggers he hits you with, the more damage they deal. Starts out with 8 daggers that recharge every few seconds. Best thing to…
Not at all. My point is not that my weak permastealth rogue can foil an enemy because he's OP, it's that he can foil an enemy team because they are stupid. They enter the battle with one mindset: "ME HEAP STRONG!!! ME SMASH!!!" . . . so when they encounter something that requires a little bit of thought and strategy they…
Rogues are not at all invulnerable while in stealth. Second, permstealths usually (but by no means always) don't do much damage, so they can often be safely ignored. You can leave one person to deal with him (ideally another rogue using, say, path of the blade) while the rest of your team moves on. If three of you are…
I wouldn't be surprised if they implement some sort of mechanic to limit farming. I expect that the loot from the gifts will be severely nerfed as well.
It's good for lulz. My rogue is weak as hell, but he can keep an entire enemy team occupied for quite a while (if they're stupid, and they usually are). Plus you constantly get accused of "P2W!!!!1", which is always fun.
Easiest solution would be to open up DK to both sides. Wouldn't really fix the PvP imbalance but it would make it meaningless. Honestly though I doubt anything will be done at this point.
I too found the wiki lacking in this category, which is why I chose to contribute. Because, y'know, it's a wiki. I don't add a lot, but if I see a drop in a dungeon that's not on a loot table then I make sure to add it. In other words, stop whining and do it yourself.
Nope, it's plenty good advice for anyone who hasn't attained your levels of uber-l33t epeen. Queuing can be a nightmare so lying your way into a PUG is the way to go, at least for the overpopulated DPS classes. Even if it doesn't work out you at least trolled some hyper-l33tist exploit farmers, so either way it's good.
My, aren't we sniffy? Not saying I agree, but that's what many demand. If you run SP as a wizard and don't singularity/push then your party is going to be screaming bloody murder. And will also probably be dead.
The best answer is probably to lie and then follow along as best you can. As long as you can singu+shield the mobs into oblivion and otherwise keep them under control your party will be happy. It usually only takes a run or two to learn things and then you're good to go. Myself I PUG'ed until I learned the ropes. This is…
Obviously he needs to be banned, but I'm also curious to see what other amusing kinds of nerdrage he'll subject us too. I'm also proud of myself for coming up with a unit of measurement for e-peen and don't want to see these posts disappear.
Apologies for assuming you were upset, the general attitude on this forum is one of whining impatience so I just take it for granted. I don't feel the AH is stagnant, but that's from personal experience only. High price items have always moved pretty slowly. While I understand the concerns about the AD/Zen rate it's a bad…
How does it not make sense? Last month the enchanted key sale and Nightmare Thursday sent zen prices skyrocketing. The exchange rate has been steadily dropping since then as players compete to unload that zen they no longer want or need. That's basic economics. If you want higher zen prices, just be patient. I'm sure…
I dunno, if was going to spend 60 bucks on a sparkly unicorn in an on-line game I probably would be able to spare the 1-2 minutes it would take to learn about the content I'm buying into. To each his own, though. I hope you recover soon.
