'Appropriate for your level' - At level 60 - Rank 4 Uncommon Enchantments and Minor Potions are not EPIC.

Maybe Im just really unlucky !?!

UPDATE: What I was really shooting for was to see how others faired and what loot pics they had.

When you go around and kill things at level 60 they drop Rank 4 Enchantments and Major Potions.

Rank 5 Enchantments do not drop. Period.
And while other events did frequently give some better potions as drops more frequently major potions are the norm.

While you may not like the rewards they are dropping exactly what is 'appropriate' for your level.

Now don't get me wrong, personally I am a bit disappointed in the frequency of enchantment and potion drops but the quality of those drops are very much within what should be expected. It would be nice to have had some better drops, at least more frequently, but expecting more than that quality is a bit unrealistic.

P.S. You wrote minor instead of major in your post.

I found one 'invocation reset'. I checked my total ardent coins, opened it and still had the same number of ardent coins, but it did reset my invocation timer. Not sure if this was because i had invoked about 10 minutes earlier when i forst logged in, however, it does not make sense to use something that resets the timer unless the timer is active.

It was my first (and only) use of an invocation reset as well.

I would say i am lucky though based on the above feedback. out of maybe 10, i have had the invocation reset, some injuy kits and several ardent potions

I am getting a fair amount of enchants, which is fine by me. Also the new divine injury kits. Haven't seen the mantle yet, not sure I care.

I wish the invocation reward had been explained better, but thats ok, I understand how it works now.

So far I think its pretty fun, but I could be bored of it soon with 7 chars.

The loot table is one thing, but I personally find it even more annoying that the Quests don't drop in parties/dungeons so you have to go out and grind separately. Combined with the drop rate / ICD of the Quests themselves this event is on the verge of being useless.

I wouldn't care as much about the drop rates if the event integrated in what I normally do. Run a few DDs, grab Gifts and if it's Potions it's Potions. Who cares. But actually putting work into getting the Gifts raises a certain expectation which can't be met by the rewards.

I got the mantle, and it clips terribly with my CWs Thayan gear (i might post a screenshot later, it's even worse than other mantles), so I didn't apply it.

It's BoP, so i can't sell it on AH.

    It's blue, so i can't salvage it.

In this case, a potion would still be more useful :|

I think this event is pretty darn good, I see a lot of people crying in chat that theres nothing good to get blah blah..
    BUT

For me doing my dailies and getting an extra 10-20 rank 4's to feed to my artifacts isnt to be sniffed at, I would even go so far as to say its made me actually just go monster slaying and see what challenges drop.

It makes a nice change from the Skirmish event, plus I think you need to break this cyclic mentality people have now got of 'Event' = Free companion..

My issue is that the rewards do not equal the hype. Do I expect a free companion from every event? No, I do not. But come on, if you're gonna throw HAMSTER at me and call it an event then there is a problem. Not to mention that these challenges aren't very hard, are somewhat ridiculous and more to the point aren't really worth the rewards we get. Hell they could have just upped the drop rate of R4 enchants and potions and called it an event. And btw, who is telling the devs that refining points are whats stopping player from upgrading enchants? Not me. No for me its those **** blue reagents or that **** purple potency that seem to never drop.

Then they add insult to injury when you open your gift with the whole "here's your epic gift" which are hardly epic in anyway. I said it in the main CotG thread, at this point they might as well remove the challenges and just have the gifts drop like the tymora event and even then I'd be disappointed.

Yes, I like this too - the challenges make a nice change and you can do it while leveling / boon grind....

The only good reward from this event is the injury kits and the dyes, maybe the gift too, if it wasnt for the fact that you still get only 1 ardent coin per day, which makes it totally useless except for those that need to be away for the day and could use the timer reset.

For this reason, I feel like this event it a total waste of time.

Ardent Coins? How many boxes did you open?
I opened over 700 so far and got 1 cloak (on one of the last 10 boxes I opened… so I got VERY lucky) and 1 Invocation Gift.
Getting more than 1 Invocation Gift, unless you drop tons of AD on those gifts, is not realistic. I spent almost 2M AD on them and got only 1 Invocation Gift.

Only one Invocation Gift can drop per day. Therefore once you get an Invocation Gift, don't open the rest Gift of the Gods until next day.

Btw, what's the point of Rite of Renewed Invocation if it cannot be used through gateway?

It resets the 1 hour invocation cooldown. Why would you need to use that out of game?

I second this, 100% .... sorry Cryptic, this was a FAIL. I would have probably planned something bigger with the certain HUGE beta going on right now.

The certain beta event is also most likely going to be fail as well. Stress tests are generlly frustrating experiences.

And its not like Cryptic can plan around other developers timetables. This challenge event was planned and set long before news of the competitors event even became public.

I think the drop rate for the Celestial Mantle is greater than the Mount and Companion from the lockboxes if i takes about 700 gifts for someone to get it. It should be 5% or 10% and should not drop after you get the first one.

I have 3 Level 60 Characters that I've opened multiple gift of the Gods with. On each character the results are the same. The Epic Item does not drop when it should, and the invocation reset doest not give the promised ardent coin. I will file a ticket, but none of us should have to. I rolled multiple epics when opening these. All 3 characters earned the Epic item and did not recieve it. Bottom line is the event reward is broken. 2v80cc6.jpg

As far as the invocation goes, you can get an Invocation Gift when you open Gift of the Gods. Each character can only receive one of these per day. When you open the Invocation Gift, you are awarded 1 Ardent Coin and another item (forgetting the name right now) that when used resets the 1 hour cooldown on invoking.

Right, but the invocation gift DOES NOT give the ardent coin, it jsut resets the prayer. no coin when you pray again, and the epic loot does not drop, it simply rewards common potions.

I have not had this problem...or I don't think I have. When I opened the Invocation Gift, it said at the top "1 Ardent Coin." I'll have to check tomorrow morning to see if I am getting another when invoking.

If potions, rank 4s, blue cloaks and injury kits are "a reward of epic quality", then they need to change all the colors of these items to purple! Otherwise, the Gods might as well be cheap JEP's.

The Epic reward cloak states that it will have the image of the prayer diety on it. It was something I looked forward to. Is it possible to at least get those items on the characters?? ..I really was thrilled at that as a graphic..
