The Gift of Tymora

The "Gift of Tymora" event is upon us. This means, for some, farming. I would like to earn a bit of coin myself during this event, so i thought we could exchange farming methods.

Last time i started out by farming in Whispering Caverns, but because of killstealing and the instances being too crowded, i changed to foundry quests. Here i did Gold Pit and Endless Corridor. How do you plan on farming these gifts? And what are your thoughts on the rewards?

Hope to get some response, good luck farming!

We don't know for certain what will be in the boxes this time , they said that there are brand new items and the only item confirmed to be coming back so far is the Fools Crown of Neverwinter. This time there are a lot more places for capped players to farm so people acting like toilets trying to killsteal ( even though it isn't really possible to KS in Neverwinter ) should be minimized so I'll probably hang out in Sharandar and Dread ring since farming isn't as bad if you read zone chat , the farming foundries bore me to tears although I'll probably run those too when I feel like it.

The Whispering Caverns was the big spot last time but now we have Sharandar and the Dread Ring plus tons of foundries to spread out the crowd. Kill steals was not much of an issue for me....all ya have to do is hit something at least once to get a drop. Teaming up was an issue as drops were less frequent.

Well the last one of these I was in,

I did a lot of DDs, and Foundries of all shapes and sizes. And they were at the time dropping Astral Diamonds. I remember I ended up with over 150k AD in rough diamonds. First time I realized there was a 24k per day limit to refining rough diamonds.

Whatever the farm spot, isn't there a ten-minute time of farming after which you won't be dropping anything?

That's just a rumor perpetrated by those that offended the wrong god and didn't see a drop for hours. I've never had such an issue farming in the same spot for months.

My guess for loot is that we will see a new enchantment and maybe another new items or 2.

    There will be peridots involved.

    ^^ This...for sure...

    My prediction: :D

    Gift of Tymora

You have discovered an enchanted Gift of Tymora containing a boon from the gods.

This box contains one of the following:

Fools' Crown of Neverwinter equipment [drop % decreased]
    A Rare armor piece
    A Rare weapon
5,000 Rough Astral Diamonds [drop % and amount decreased]
    Profession resources:

    Uncommon, Rare, or Epic

    OR

    Refining resources:

x2 White pearls, x1 peridot, or x1 aquamarine

A potion that is useful to your level

When holding this box you feel extremely lucky.

    Lockbox
    No Level Requirement

I wouldn't be surprised if they implement some sort of mechanic to limit farming. I expect that the loot from the gifts will be severely nerfed as well.

I doubt they will nerf the drops to the extent that it isn't worth farming , ruining what was one of the most popular events ever held on the same weekend that they will probably get a lot of players back to try out the new pvp who have either been on hiatus or outright quit would be a silly mistake to make , guess we will find out soon enough though since they said they will reveal the gift boxes contents this week before the event.

I really hope it will still be worth it unlike the gift of the gods. If it isn't then it probably just means that events are just for casuals not to be taken seriously.

The problem with Gift was that it had less reward than previous events and paired that with repetitive tasks, some of which were hard (due to regen/lifesteal/high defense) or just annoying based on your class. Tymora, even if the drops aren't as good just involves killing mobs and claiming the reward. Some people may (will) still complain about the drops even they stay the same as last time, but you don't have to do anything much to get them.
