Also, I already have a suite of parsing scripts - this just means I can really prune them and make it easy. If you want I can post them here once it's done.
Quite easy as well. That is, unless by any chance, Bruenor would pay her (or rather, her superiors) more, but then he's hardly the shrewd utilitarian type. Plus, Neverember himself has had a hand in making the Zhentarim a legal organization (and ones I'm pretty certain he uses for dirty work - regardless, this move has had…
Hmm. Perhaps keeping the old location in place, but redirecting people to the new, solitary instance when they normally enter? That way quests could still use the "part of PE" one.
Okay, let's read again "Unlike sorcerers and wizards, who approach arcane magic through innate ability or a book of learned magic, a warlock invokes magic through their darkened soul. It just takes a few points in Comprehend Languages (English) to interpret what the source said correctly.
Which is probably why a SW fails at either. Did anyone actually claim sorcerers need to memorize spells? BTW as far as my stance on it goes, the distinction between sorcery and wizardry is the difference between learning an art and learning a science. As a closing comment, I continue to be amazed by your dedication to…
Sharandar, Dread Ring and IWD is OK with difficulty. WOD is a little bit too much, mainly because the mobs there are inherently quite difficult. And then, I'm hardly with a huge gear score. Overall, think the difficulty outside is fine. What perhaps need messing with are dungeon mobs.
Nope. This refers to Hadar, the Dark Hunger, which is presumably a lovecraftian entity from latter DnD editions. ( I think the mentions I could google were from 5th ed.) Seriously... the powers don't thematically fit a good-alligned water elemental (force choke? Lizard bats from hell as Brood of Hadar?), much less the fact…
This is completely out of touch with reality. Gold sellers use bots - having people do the runs by hand would in no way cover their costs, given the prices they're selling at, and their small clientele. And, bots can't do dungeons effectively - hell, people have problems with it. Even with an endboss runaround.
@2 - penalized? AFAIK, ELOL etc. 's blue equipment can't be salvaged, so it'd be a net profit over the what, 300 refinement points I get from the gear now.
I voted unhappy, though the funny thing is that if you asked me in mod 5 when I joined, I'd have said happy. Asides from the mob difficulty change which I fairly enjoy, this game has taken a remarkable turn for the worse in mod 6, and the increasingly terrible decisions from above leave me little hope for the future. I…
Interesting. People have been asking for SW to be fixed ever since mod 5, we're almost through mod 6, and all it has received are nerfs. People have also been asking to make dragon hoard enchants useful again, and HAMSTER all with that. It almost seems like they are at most using people askign for something as an excuse…
More BOE is good ,but the rest is silly. Really if you want to solve botting, introduce checks that ensure people log in with one account only - allow to transfer a reasonable amount of characters to their main (say, 10) so as for people not to lose non-mains and RP characters. Among other things this would also decrease…
More RP from HEs, dungeons and the like. Don't bind them. See, bots can't do HE and dungeons, they can only run about opening skill nodes. This is in fact why everyone is angry at the dragon hoard enchantment nerf - that one was a way for legit players to get RP, rather than bots.
Uhh. First of all, a 3.9k GS any class (perhaps except healing specced DC) will deal large amounts of damage... and if it were a GWF or a CW, I have no doubt they'd have done better. Second of all.. you might just have described the ideal paper situation for a SW to deal damage - i.e. strong targets that you can get off TT…
Well... sure. If anything becomes bound to account, nobody can sell anything, not even the bots. However, this is a suggestion of the sort that if you cut off someone's leg, he can't get their knees scraped. And once you actually include GMs, why in the pits do you need to do this? Also... the suggestion to remove AD from…
What a 'great' suggestion. Effectively, making the bots the only one who can get rich off selling anything, and making dungeons even more pointless than they're now.
The insane thing about overflow XP is that the reward is random. There have now been three pops of overflow that didn't have a skill point for me, all of them at the new inflated several milion value. To be fair, at no point did this make me say "Oh I need a booster" - at this point, useful overflow is a thing that happens…
2. Bugs. I have a persistent problem ever since Mod 6 started, that certain sprites (say, the indicators above NPC heads, auras around drops, certain attacks, and more annoyingly, certain red circles/attack markers from enemies) plain out don't display under most conditions (Sometimes they do, when say, the NPC is behind…
What could work is, based on voting and game designer review, "promoting" specially good foundries to the position of game content, for in-game rewards to the creator, and, you know, having regular drops and rewards , as any other quest or campaign. This would eliminate the sort of stuff like "fast review quest" from…
