  • Since World of Warcraft is generally heralded as a benchmark for MMOs lets use them as an example. Game released for: 8 years (excluding beta). Number of classes released: 2 Average classes per year: 0.25 If they work at WoWs pace there will be a class in 4 years time. Be happy they're even planning on releasing them a few…
  • No, not it's not. Pay to Win is the ability to get something you can't get without paying. On here you pay to get stuff faster - which is the idea behind any f2p.
  • Half the world is always sleeping.
  • You have so many skill points to spend you end up taking the spells best for both PvE and PvP.
  • They're actively rolling back exploiters as far as I know. I have 2 friends and a guildie who insisted exploiting was the way forward. 2 of them rolled back to level 1 and one of them was stripped back to his gear when he reached 60. They're choosing to stand back and snipe people in the head who are trying to kill the…

  • I quote Neverwinter's most recent tweet. Chris Gunning ‏@ChrisGunning003 @NeverwinterGame Are you guys contemplation a full Character wipe to Repair all the DMG the exploiters have done that past days? or no? Neverwinter ‏@NeverwinterGame @ChrisGunning003 First step will be to analyze the data! Once we have game data to…

  • Except it won't. Much like in many countries in the real world the super rich will be made up of about 2% of the game community. It would be stupid to aim an economy at 2% of people rather than 98% of people. Furthermore the very rich won't want anything from the auction house - they're already fully epic geared from…
  • They will probably make a new shard. I don't know how official it is but they've said multiple times on Twitter there will be no more wipes.

  • Class balance isn't something Cryptic are looking into at the moment. Once they start rolling out changes to classes then you can make comments but for now they're focussing on things that have a longer term effect. If a class is imbalanced it takes one patch and it's fixed (although a lot of time goes into it the problem…
  • It is a fast leveling game. But I like that - it's what kept me playing over a game where I feel like my time isn't progressing me. I leveled from 1 to 60 in a 3 day weekend (bank holiday monday ftw) and am enjoying the game an awful lot. Some games are higher exp than others. That's just how it works. Note: You don't get…
  • Nah. I was getting about 550+ during the PvP event on my Control Wizard when I first hit 60. That was a few weeks ago so it may have changed since then but just sayin'
  • The only experience I've had from map creation tools prior to the Foundry is Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2 so I'm somewhat of a novice. And I must say as a novice I have done just about everything I've wanted to do with the exception of one or two minor things that really don't matter and can easily be worked around. For you…
  • I've made a couple of quests now, none of them have had much attention from anyone but to be honest I'm fine with that. I made them because I enjoy making them and want to play through them with friends. And have done so. Perhaps you should asses the reasoning behind your motivation for creating them. If it's for attention…
  • The economy isn't as broken as everyone is making out in my opinion. Sure it has issues... but every new game has economic issues.
  • He's selling the AD. You can't sell ZEN straight up. And no, that's not enforceable in any countries, no more than cheating in a game of monopoly would be.
  • You can get the 110% mount speed without paying. It's only 2m AD. Only...
  • The silence is what saddens me most. It's as if they think looking away will fix the problem. We should all just put our heads in the sand.
  • I know it doesn't quite fit with the core ideology behind the foundry but I would really like the ability to make PvP maps in the Foundry. Not only would it attract a whole new market of players but would take the pressure off Cryptic to implement more PvP maps.
  • Even if they do wipe, it'll be a tough choice of when to do it. Wipe now and there's a good chance many bugs will still be present and therefore we may face a repeat of the current events. Wipe in a month or so when there will be a very minimal amount of bugs and face the fact that people will lose a whole lot more…
  • The game is new. Content will come out in the next few months rendering 90% of items abused for worthless. The only thing left that will be damaged is the economy and as the abusers quit and new players join this will quickly become diluted.
  • Imo they should have split the Open Beta into two phases from the word go. Phase 1: just a few months to clear all the major bugs, then wipe to begin phase 2 where no wipes will follow. Hind sight 20:20.
  • I would still play if there was a wipe - it doesn't mean I want one. Regardless, Neverwinter have tweeted countless times (I count at least 6) that were will be no wipe. They're banning exploiters, just not making it public. An inflated economy will recover in a number of months - especially when new content/tier comes out.
  • But the people who spent all that Zen on a broken server can stay to it. Just like they would if there was no wipe. And they would quit if there was. So it has no affect. this is from someone who has spent a reasonable amount of zen on the game.
  • Condense the existing shards into 1 shard, then have two other shards for people who want a 'fresh' start.
