Untrue. I have a 60 DC, with a moderate GS of 10.5k. I PUG PvP often and am definitely not a hindrance to my team. Sure, if my team are bots or newly 60's in green gear we get steamrolled. However, if my team is decent the DC can turn the tide of fights and I have. It takes some caution and quick use of the shift key but…
If your group is horrid and your opponents are geared it will be painful on the cleric. Less so on other classes like TR and GWF/GF. The cleric demands a group that can actually kill things.
The dilemma, as I see it, is that groups can perform very well without the GWF. For instance, 1TR, 2CW, 1DC and 1GF is optimal for most (if not all) instances. I would not lose a CW for a GWF, unless I knew (without a doubt) that the 1 CW was an excellent player/geared. Therefore, the GWF would just be an add on not a…
I feel bad for most GWF's in pug's as a GF. I think the GWF should be more inline with CW's and control them adds. However, they are not replacing GF's anytime soon. :)
Great writeup but, sadly, I must disagree with your assessment of the Acolyte companion. I currently use her, exclusively, on my 60 GF. The Cleric companions heals at lower levels are much more helpful but in the higher levels they don't do much nor are they often enough. The Acolyte, however, gives that wonderful 10%…
Yours are fair critiques. I have only played Champions, briefly, when it launched. I cannot speak to Cryptic's overall performance with their games. I can, however, speak to the fun of this game. I enjoy it, for what it is. I am hopeful that bugs will be addressed, new paragon paths opened, added classes and new content…
I have played the bulk of those games he listed. I can state, factually, that within their forums were always doomsayers and crybabies saying nearly the exact thing said by the OP. Again, he's manufacturing his data to fit his argument.
How predictable that you didn't bother to address my solutions to your imaginary dilemmas whilst continuing your negative nancy banter. Troll is troll. Perhaps you should just uninstall NW and play something else. I'm sure there are a myriad of game makers awaiting your judgement.
2 cents worth, from a player. I have not spent one penny to play this game. I have not 'exploited' nor played the AH. I have 3 Zen bought companions on 3 level 60's, have purchased additional char. slots, 110% mount, half a dozen keys and my 3 60's have 9.5-11k GS. Much of their gear I have actually looted, for instance my…
There are 2 bags you can get through questing. The first is Blacklake District, which you should be in at level 18. (I could be mistaken) The second is Neverdeath Graveyard at around 30ish level. No need to buy bags, imo.
I must have misunderstood your post. Apologies. However, because I'm being pedantic :), the analogies about pricing leaves out a very important ingredient. The fact that you can earn in-game currency and convert this into the real money currency. This fact, above others, has an impact on the 'high' pricing of items within…
Honestly, how do you make the virtual items store in NW and its practices equate to Wal-Mart and theirs? They are not analogous. Wal-Mart has a near monopoly on the retail industry...Crytpic does not have this on MMOs. Wal-Mart uses exploitative labor and a largely government subsidized workforce...Crytpic does not.…
Er...the stuff on the AH comes from players doing Dungeons and selling their loot. The AD can come both from Zen (founders packs, etc...) and dailies. This is how it works. Loot items - sell for AD - convert to Zen. It's simple, really, I've done it and I'm no great economics wizard. You can still cry out "It's only pay to…
WalMart and this game are not analogous. To suggest so shows a rudimentary understanding of economics. For instance, I earn AD in game. I convert said AD into Zen, or cash. I spend said Zen on the items you bemoan their cost outrageous cost. If you took the time to read my post you'd know that you don't have to spend…
Two cents, from a player. I have 2 level 60's decently geared (10k TR and 10.5k DC). I have a 50ish CW and 40ish GF. I am afforded the ability to play often as I'm retired and a student. That being said, I haven't spent one thin penny. I have the 2500 Zen, 110% mount, I have 4 extra character slots and 2 Ioun Stones and…
How do you conclude that I am upset merely because I asked a person to clarify their statement? The only thing irritating (note: not upsetting) is when people do not read statements, jump to conclusions and make up whole arguments from thin air to dissemble. Also, he obviously used 'DnD nerds' as a pejorative. This is why…
You, clearly, did not understand my question. Hopefully, I can clarify it below and you won't have to argue against any more Strawmen. I did not ask which came first nor did I ask if NWO is the perfect iteration of DnD. I asked how he could claim to love DnD yet call others 'DnD nerds', using nerds as an obvious…
Absolute rubbish! Have you never had Cracker Jacks or a breakfast cereal? Random prizes are fairly universal and to purport otherwise is pure poppycock.
This game is free to play. No purchase necessary. I think it's fun, some may not. If you don't think it's fun you can just delete it. You didn't shell out a dime. However, if you decided to pay for items...that's on you. Regardless of an EULA or the games Beta or Live state. Simple. Also, to cry about a game that's…
