  • Fair enough, thanks for the advice. Would have responded sooner but overwhelmed with work!
  • *cough*Best ability of the entire class*/cough* I don't watch the specific damage that I take but while hallowed ground is up my health bar goes down a lot slower... well nowadays it actually goes up while I stand in hallowed ground thanks to Divine Mode Astral Shield and Moon Touched.
  • You can only use the pre-designated doors if you are talking about actually getting into your quest in the first place. The only way you could perhaps get around this, is if you used a map based on the Protector's Enclave but then you'd still need to get the player into that map probably via a door to begin with.
  • If they stack they might be more worthwhile but I still see the Faithful path as better overall... moon touched & 4th pip are pretty hard to compete with... let alone the rest of the stuff you pick up as you get towards those. Just spamming Astral Shield over and over on a single enemy seems pretty pointless unless it's…
  • I'm going to say nope, the only way to properly fix it would be if Guardian Fighter could hold at least half the mobs in the room so where do the other half go to? Cleric has quite possibly the second highest defense and so you have more healing to do where our healing isn't the greatest to begin with but the thing that…
  • We don't lose too much from using damaging abilities while leveling by specing for healing. When you start you'll be using Sunburst/Searing Light/Healing Word. Chains comes along which some people switch in place of sunburst usually, it's not that big of a change, a more damaging build might be to switch healing word out…
  • 20/20/20 Is not optimal unfortunately and even then not all races have the same amount of ability score to begin with. Somebody will probably get the maths eventually but as an estimate I'd say that WIS should be around 24~22, CHA should be around 22~20 and STR should be around 20~18. This is for the optimal results of…
  • an idea, tho I haven't tested it. Grab an object around the same size as the NPC you wish to place. Move it in testing to where you want and then take the co-ords/angle for that object and apply it to the NPC. go back into the game to view what minor adjustments are needed. The NPCs will probably obey gravity and so you…
  • You are playing a class that is predominately Damage Mitigation, if you really want a challenge then you can for for a Sunburst/Forgemaster's Flame/Searing Light build but it will not be easy.... it'd probably be a heck of a lot more mage like tho. Alternatively you could switch Searing Light for Chains to lay traps/binds…
  • At your level you aren't going to see any real differences so I'd advise just to go for what gets you the most. What you should be caring about are your ability scores since you can not change those via gear like you can your stats. Nobody has a Definitive answer to the exact best ratio of WIS:CHA:STR but you clearly need…
  • They are going to 5th Edition? any chances they'll scrap the stupid changes they made to Tiefling and Gnomes? Those being the Tiefling being the lore change and Gnomes being... in the monster manual!? Yes, Tiefling was popular enough it should be in the Player's Handbook, no it didn't need a lore change that removed…
  • That's not a free charge, that isn't even close. That's a full Divinity Charge (or 90% if you are counting a 5/5 Ethereal boon) which really is against the point which is Ethereal boon not AP gain. As it goes Forgemaster's flame will also get that 10% Divinity back the only difference is the time and I'd still argue that a…
  • How is this a serious question? Anyways I find all Cleric Head pieces to be ugly as... thankfully "disable visuals".
  • I believe it's because it places the spawn like it places buildings, which can lead to it being partly underground or hovering on the ground and so if you spawn partly underground you'll clip through the ground and end out falling into the void.
  • how are you starting the map? if you right click and press "start map from here", that'll spawn you from where you clicked and not from the spawn point and I have found that, that can be buggy. I don't think I have had any issues spawning from the spawn point however, but if you are having an issue with that you could…
  • I'm still working on my first quest but if you want to include either of my characters they are. R3sistance - Female Tiefling Cleric, pale for a tiefling with blonde hair and downward pointing horns. Doomsday - Male Human Rogue, fairly bulky big guy with side parted hair and green eyes... totally not based on myself! Here…
  • I hit this bug too when I wanted two dialogues on the same NPC, it was suppose to be a betrayal. I've already re-worked it by giving the first dialogue to another NPC and then having the second "attack" the player so to speak. But as far as it goes, I notice in an NPCs property they have a section called "links", and that…
  • One thing I think is going to need consideration when you make any quest... how long will it last. The longer you drag a quest out the more and more interesting things you need in it to keep it going and thus the more chance of alienating people with things they may not like, like puzzles or maybe a few encounters too…
  • Actually Healing Word gets a worse bonus from Ethereal Boon than Forgemaster's Flame, the only way it'd be useful is that you can use it out of battle but more often than not that means your party is being slow and standing still/etc. the reason being that Forgemaster's Flame has a 14 second cool down and Healing Word gets…
  • I believe you can use /target and /bind to set-up custom targeting but /target isn't as nice as say "party member 1" or "party member 2". It requires the player name as far as I am aware and so that means having to remake your targets for EVERY party :(. As it goes healing word isn't really that good in the end, damage…
  • Thanks Nevfe, still not exactly what I was after but it sounds like something I can work around a lot better.
  • You can make a Dialogue tree, but the kind of thing I am after is if you are mean to one person, their brother is angry at you when you speak to them. I figured a way to do this which is to give an item in an advance and then remove that item in all alternative choices the one you want to capture. It came to me a few…
  • While I like the idea in principle, it's hard to do that with inside/outside transitions.
  • Err, I'd rather all Epic dungeon gear be BoP, BoE means people can get the gear without doing the dungeons... which I think is more ludicrous.
  • iirc Ioun has better survivability than cat, cat can be one shot in AoE but I haven't really tested that myself to be honest. Maybe in the future I might do some testing but right now I'll just stick with the pet I do have which is not either of those and is rank 30.
  • I haven't tested it but from my anecdotal experience it generally does relate to the amount of damage done. So if I am hitting an enemy for 700 damage I am healing ~800 HP whereas if I am hitting an enemy for 550 damage I am only healing ~700 HP. Also crits are checked only once and that'll affect both damage and healing…
  • I'll have a look when I have access to the foundry, the object I used previously are generally all objects I wanted to be visible to begin with.
  • I don't need anything really, having the foundry to make quests is nice but was never needed :). Just like having the foundry is nice, having the ability to go back to the map would as such be nice. But semantics aside, I just wanted to use a main map as a hub between connecting different areas. Connecting say somebody's…
  • tl;dr (j/k) Are jumping puzzles are good idea? Considering that different players maybe have different movement skills meaning for some it'll be a breeze while for others it will near impossible. I'm still learning the Foundry tho so not entirely sure how to implement real puzzles right now... but I'll have a consideration…
  • So you can change maps when you reach the right part of the quest? Does this happen with other objects, like if you used a house as the transition object?
