To the best of my knowledge, every time somebody gets one it alerts the whole shard with a message that says, "Drizt Do'Durden has received a Heavy Inferno Nightmare Mount!" You'll have to correct for the name. And make the assumption that the messages are accurate.
@ nornsavant (your post is apparently not quotable) They've earned their money, in my book. I've paid 10 bucks for a 90-minute movie that sucked and wasn't the least bit entertaining. I've paid $60 for games with game-breaking bugs that prevented me from actually completing the game, and I've paid $60 for games that kept…
And what happens if EVERYBODY pays 100 Zen to move to the front of the line? Imagine the backlash as "paying customers" get ignored for 5-7 business days anyway. Although having (and still) worked in a Tech Support job, there are a LOT of stupid questions. I fully understand the German model, since a large number of those…
I'm not sure how I'm corrected? "I've always defined "Bots" as being completely automated." "Botting, throughout the years, have referred to the complete humanless interaction of an account with the game." Is it just me, or do those two sentences looks strikingly similar in definition? We've also got a mod ruling on the…
A big rule of thumb, I think, is "this seems like it's cheating". If you get that feeling, there's a good chance that something is amiss and you're probably taking advantage of a bug (I'm also not a mod or anything official). That being said: 1) If you can get there, it's probably not exploiting. If it's something the devs…
In reality, perhaps (although items made by the same individual to sell to the common adventurer would be more or less the same, I'm sure). That's why I suggested the ability to choose from a few different designs (to reflect different artisan's, or however you feel like justifying it). When purchasing from the vendor,…
A human, an elf, and a dwarf are all contracted to build a palace for the great Sultan of the Efreet. Unfortunately, the massive dome collapses and the efreet's harem is crushed to death. Furious, the Sultan orders all three to be executed by beheading. The human is dragged by the efreet's servants to a massive obsidian…
An orc walks into the bar with a parrot on his shoulder and the bartender says "Wow, that's really neat. Where'd you get it?" "In a cave." the parrot replies.
It makes sense that not every piece of armor is drastically different if you consider that it's based on DnD. There isn't really a lot of reason for "Leather Armor", "Leather Armor +1", or "Leather Armor +5" to look any different. It's the same base item with different stats. Since "Prowler", "Evader", "Lethal", etc.…
I'm on the fence about the rate of leveling. On the one hand, I like that I don't spend forever killing mobs watching my XP bar not move. On the other, my gear is in a constant state of rotation so I haven't bothered with the enchanting mechanic yet and I constantly find myself "accidentally" leveling my character and…
Personally, I'm a fan of the way Cryptic handled things. Although I've only been playing since Caturday (and thus have limited interaction with devs/game/etc), I was surprised by the level of interaction and good humor displayed by the devs while handling all the outrage. That alone will keep me playing for a little while.…
