It's much better today but I find it hard to believe this was ISP related. People from Australia, Germany, UK, US, and other places were all having the issues and simultaneously. For example a player from Israel and myself (US, Seattle area) were both kicked at the same time and the player from Germany got a 20s "Server…
This issue is happening again.. I got more than 10 disconnects yesterday and already one in less than 15 minutes today. This started after the latest patch, you guys broke something.
Had the same problem, even with larger amounts like 1980 from 99 crates of jewelry. No extra Guild Marks were awarded with the scroll of fate active. I wonder if any of them actually work?
I don't have any Feytouched items but it happens to me fairly often. The worst is when you're in Illusionist's Gambit and can't see the "reflect damage" red glow around enemies. It appears to be the same mechanism used for treasure glow and some other effects.
I've seen this hashed out before bit for some reason they think Facebook is a better place to announce then their own forums. Well, I for one HATE the Book of Face and use it only when absolutely necessary. Thanks for letting us know the details. The launcher doesn't even say anything about the maintenance, I wonder what…
@miasmat Any update on when this will be fixed? Update: I just checked the 12/14/17 patch notes and didn't see this listed. Please, please tell me this won't be broken for another week.
Thanks for the quick turn around on this. I hope you guys can give us a double Icewind currency event soon to help us catch up the missed Dwarven Gold and Auril's Tears.
The quest to retrieve 3 troll idols is bugged. I kill the troll mobs but can almost never loot an idol from the floating altar. Yesterday I got the first two idols just fine then had to kill 10+ mobs to get the final idol. Today is even worse, after 40+ mobs I'm still at only 2 idols. Other players don't seem to have this…
It can also mess up the quest "Strung Up" and make the meat hanging from the trees unavailable. It doesn't seem to affect all my characters the same. My GWF was having problems but my CW ran the exact same quest with no problems both days. Also, I've noticed the Black Ice Domination seems to be permanently stuck, you can't…
Unfortunately one of the two that worked was one I definitely did yesterday. The one under the bridge near where the Demonic Slaughter HE appears. So it's not as simple as "do different ones". Also, a second toon had no trouble with any of the troll idols despite doing the same ones yesterday. It's just borked, like so…
It's a deceptive improvement. Yes, it's not as horrible as it was when 12b dropped but it is way worse than the way things were in 12a. And since the developers have gone dark since last week's announcement I think we're stuck with a system that really puts the "dung" in dungeon.
It's worse than you make it out to be. My main, nearly 14K who has run mSP/FBI numerous times, is now completely blocked from the random epic dungeon queue because he's a build that doesn't exist according to the way the queues are designed. I have no choice but to run tons of salvage runs, which are now harder to get…
There is a long, long series of threads on this but it boils down to a couple of things: 1) The IL for Random Epics is stupidly high to cram FBI and mSP into them. Break them into another group seems to be the easiest fix but Cryptic developers are whining that's "too hard" or "too confusing". 2) Leveling dungeons are now…
But it's not, we either put lots of time or real world money into this diner. And if nobody put real world money into it then it would've closed long, long ago.
@asterdahl You keep asserting that "average AD" is up but for me it's definitely not. My main is a DPS GF and I cannot tank epic dungeons, especially the T3 ones like FBI or mSP. There absolutely needs to be a way to specify your role for the queue. WIth builds like Templock and some others simply assuming a role based on…
I think we need to face facts. After listening to the developers it's clear they have no intention of fixing any of the real problems with random queues. They are willing to slap a Band-Aid on the guild problem but they have ZERO desire to change the fundamental horrors. Why? I think it's simple. The game isn't making…
I'm in a similar situation. My main is a DPS GF which means I get shoe-horned into being a tank for dungeon queues. I die repeatedly, the group fails, and I get nasty tells like, "Learn to tank loser". I don't want to tank, this character has never tanked. But I have no choice and it's ruined the game for me. And no, a…
Measuring the fraction of a percent chance of success for legendary drops over a thousand lock box opens is meaningless. You need tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of events. On the other hand, measuring the fluctuation at or near 75% with a thousand samples is very possible. This post isn't for me to teach math and…
The system for failed runs is appallingly bad. This happened today trying to run a random skirmish Myself and 3 other guildies started a queue and couldn't get a 5th so we just went with a PUG. 2 seconds into Merchant Prince's Folly the PUG disconnects. We wait, and wait, and wait and still can't boot him so we finally…
I've also noticed problems with the launcher. When I click "Play" there is at best a 50/50 chance I'll get the Cryptic loading screen. The rest of the time it silently fails and I have to restart the launcher. It's taken as many as 5 times to connect.
Thank you for stopping by. I'm flabbergasted by how poorly thought out these random queues are. The terrible impact on guilds, player enjoyment, etc. all seem to be have been ignored because "reasons". I've easily lost half of my AD income. Our guild has been crippled by it. We've already lost members in a week. They say…
There do seem to be reasons to be cynical about the motive for this change. The way it harms guilds means they'll likely get people buying Stronghold items from the Zen market. I know our guild is planning on doing that to make up for the lost shards. As you point out, selling campaign completion tokens for Storm King's…
The problem is there is a massive disconnect between the players and the people deciding what should be done with the game. Look, we want new content and challenges. That's understandable. And changing it so more dungeons are run is a form of a challenge. But when you put something on a test server, tell people to try it…
When was the last time anyone saw a Dev talk in game? It happened briefly a few weeks ago when a Dev was asking why noone was doing the Camp Vengeance HE. I heard he got playfully trolled with as a result. LOL.. Really? Damn, I wish I was on to see that. Which also shows they don't really pay attention to the forums. We've…
Just wait until you realize your guild is getting shafted because very few members can actually run the daily Cleric quest for shards. That's a whole other level of bad. And I've been stuck running Merchant's Folly 5 of the 7 times I've queued toons for "random" skirmish. Yeah.. that's random. Well, Cryptic's idea of…
Because sitting around and hoping Cryptic will do something positive has worked so well in the past. You're damn right I'm upset. This change is killing the game and they knew it was going to be a problem and they just hope we sit back and shut up. Well, I'm not shutting up. Constructive criticism has been given to them…
