Really? After weeks of blowing off criticism in the test server they've continued to ignore criticism on the live one. Click bait title or not they're ignoring the players. It needs to end and soon.
I don't think they will. Their business model isn't about supporting long term players who farmed enough AD and converted it to Zen that they can effectively play for free. No, this module was carefully constructed to suck as much stored value out of long time players as possible and to create ways to force newer players…
All the "like works better on like" boosts to enchanting were removed. This killed off things like "feeder artifacts" and made all the various Shattered items that drop in Castle Never just basic refining items. Apparently the SoMI relic refining stones got nerfed as well. But vivified gear got much cheaper to improve so…
They need to put them back in tiers.. Players should not need 11K gear to run Malabog's Castle. Of course after the insane Nerf Hammer to bonding maybe they do? What happened to the concept of Tier I, II, etc. dungeons? This entire 12b release is a disaster on several fronts. But nobody at Cryptic or PWE will admit it and…
Then why are there both DPS and tanking sets for GF? Look at any set of armor and there are two forms == one designed to do damage the other to tank. That's true for all the classes but with GF the differences are night and day. And, yes, I can run in pre-made parties but let me tell how that goes.. "Are you tank?" "No."…
Lord, yes, please end this bane of RNG madness. I've been trying to get the drop from the Batiri mobs for days.. 9 mobs slain and zero drops of their item. Freaking ogres drop their damn femurs if you sneeze in their general direction but the Batiri are super stingy with theirs.
There is only one bug I want fixed. I want the Forgehammer of Gond to actually do something. I have kept track of success/failure on my use of the hammer for months. After hundreds and hundreds of uses the failure rate for the mythic hammer is exactly the same as any epic/purple tool. This is amazing frustrating and…
I agree with you, it's ridiculous there are so many items we want (and need) behind so many painful random fortresses. Think of the time it takes to run nDemo, CN, or FBI. Then multiply that by 1000 with only a 5 in 8 chance of getting your reward. That's perverse and wrong. There needs to be a way to earn progress, maybe…
You are clearly out of your field of knowledge on this. After 160+ attempts the chance this is anything but a bug is vanishingly small. You'd have better odds at getting hit by a meteor. The code is broken. I could collect another 160, or a thousand samples and it would be the same. It is BROKEN. But apologists and fools…
A big part of the problem is the people designing the loot system apparently have no clue how random distribution works. The players aren't much better for the most part. Here's an example: say the drop chance of a valuable item is 0.1%, one time in a thousand. Now you run that particular dungeon/skirmish 1000 times, what…
I've seen something similar though I don't have the length of time in it that you have. However, I was curious to figure out why Cryptic claims the success rate they do. So I decided to track refining success rates both with and without wards. My data suggests that using a ward lowers your chance of success by 10-30%. Take…
I filed a ticket with Arc support. Fat lot of good it will do. They'll just claim they have no record of the transaction. How the HAMSTER can they screw this up so badly?
Umm, yeah, each attempt has a 35% chance of succeeding. But after a hundred attempt the expected number of successful craft attempts will be around 35. I got 12 in 92 tries (I ran out of ore on the 92nd try and got my twelfth success). On average I should have received 32, not 12, successful attempts over that many tries.…
Thank you for tagging me, I was able to use this information and can confirm it does work. Getting players to go one-at-a-time takes some doing but they will for Arcanic Focus. Any ETA on a fix?
And I can confirm that it works. I was able to successfully farm Arcanic Focus in groups today. It takes some effort to get people to cooperate but it does work. OMG, what a painful bug.
It turns out the SOLO part is what made it better. The developers have confirmed that multiple people looting at the same time can cause loot to fail. Good luck getting the other players in a group to cooperate!
I did two full 9 dig site runs solo and found 3 more Arcanic Focus. I got two out of that, here's what I noticed: When the dialog comes up try clicking 'Take' with your mouse. This SHOULD take the bottom item from the list and move it to your inventory. If it doesn't the dialog is flaking out and it will probably eat your…
OK, thanks. I'll do some more farming and see if I get lucky and actually get one I'll report what I did. For now all I can say is nothing seems to work: I've tried taking one item at a time, take all, using my mouse to click the buttons and pressing the 'F' key to take all.
Nope, that's a lame answer and you know it. We're given the option to farm but it's broken. If they're going to change the rules like this they need to give us something back in return.
A big part of the problem is nobody at Cryptic or PWE seems to understand how random numbers work. For example, they look at "1 in a 1000" drops rates across the average of all the players in the game. And it may be true that after a thousand runs one player gets that elusive ultra rare item. But they haven't dealt with…
When you get down to it ALL the rewards in EVERY dungeon, skirmish, and whatever are an INSULT. Just look at the "rewards" for leveling after 70 -- skill books? Really?! That's because most of the rewards are behind their ridiculous excuse for RNG and combined with ultra-stingy loot tables. Between all my alts I've pulled…
I've had this happen in Tiamat, very frustrating. Pay for a key and you can't even use it. You'd think they'd try to fix this but it's been broken for weeks only it's sporadic so they apparently have no idea what's broken or how to fix it.
I didn't see anything to indicate the box opened, no dialog, no scrolling list of items. It feels like the box is no longer rewarded for the quest. If they want to auto-open it that's fine, but they need to make sure we know we got it. As it stands now it appears to be a broken quest.
