This just in...players will always shout for changes, and the majority of those shouts are self-serving, short-sighted, or individual issues that don't affect the majority of the player base.
In my experience, people that aren't interested in quest dialogue and story try to default their way through the text. But do I really want those people to have to stop and read, or do I just want them to get through and into the hack and slash they're looking for?
Funny, since apparently someone seemed to have an issue with it since open beta began, hence the reason we've been hit with all this in the first place...
I believe one of the objectives required on maps is to indicate where on the world map the next step in your quest is located; however, as long as the map transition points to an internal (rather than overworld) map, the transition should take the player to the next map that you indicated. For instance, if you have a door…
1. Alt F4 or CTRL-S will unlock your mouse when it freezes up. Caused by dragging items onto the map too quickly from the sidebar from what we can tell. 2. Not sure what that issue is, I can't really follow what seems to be going on by your description, sorry. :(
The Epic: Secrets of Shiganshina, review by @Gallowraith. (Completed as a 41 TR with kobold companion, used 1 full heal from health stone and 2 health pots while fighting throughout quest.) Another quest where I wish there was more variation in the star system. I gave the quest four stars, but an honest rating would've…
Goblin Uprising, review by @Gallowraith. (Completed as a 41 TR with kobold companion, used 4 full heals from health stone while fighting throughout quest.) Very fun quest! I loved the ability to choose between multiple pathways to complete objectives, and the dialogue was great. This is definitely one of those instances…
"No Prey, No Pay" Short Code is on my sig. Can be completed solo with Hero/Guardian character, or low level solo. If you're higher level or undergeared, pull carefully! hflord1, I'll review yours as well as whatever pops up below me to be fair! ;)
Yeah, I usually use alt-F4 as well, since it gives you the option as to whether or not to save, and often I'm not at a point where I want to. But people are usually a bit hesitant to listen to someone telling them to alt-F4, for obvious reasons ;)
If that works, usually the issue is when you attempt to drag an object too quickly into the map. If ctrl-s works, to keep it from happening too often, slow down your dragging to the map. Good luck!
Is it the 'mouse freeze' issue? Try ctrl-s when it locks up; if that doesn't clear it up, I don't know what to tell you, seems to be working fine today so far.
I've found Alt-F4 (yeah, I know, but trust me) works as well. It pops up a dialogue box asking if you want to quit with save, quit without save, or cancel. If you hit cancel, it frees the mouse and you go back to where you were. Not sure if ctrl-s gives you the options, but alt-F4 may be useful if you're working on…
Excellent feedback, thanks! - Name changed. I knew that name sounded familiar, lol! - Increased the reach point radius, should take care of the issue of having to be too close to the door. - Rearranged mob spawn points. - Made proofreading edits to quest advancement popups. - Still working on decorations! =) - Yeah, I had…
Awesome, thanks SO much for the review and wonderful critique; I've already taken your advice and added more environment in the outdoor zones! I was a bit hesitant to add too much at first, not knowing how additional objects would affect user performance, but since publishing I've played some remarkable quests with an…
Has anyone been able to play this all the way through? Not sure if it's buried or unable to be completed; just looking for one successful play-through if anyone can help :)
