Ok so last night and tonight I have been trying to make a map from scratch. I have made a total of 4 maps (only published one), but it keeps locking up on me to were I have to shut Neverwinter down........is there something I am doing?

Is it the 'mouse freeze' issue? Try ctrl-s when it locks up; if that doesn't clear it up, I don't know what to tell you, seems to be working fine today so far.

If that works, usually the issue is when you attempt to drag an object too quickly into the map. If ctrl-s works, to keep it from happening too often, slow down your dragging to the map.

    Good luck!

Yeah it happens from dragging items too fast to your map. What I do since it happens a lot when I'm feeling forgetful ...

is just hit ctrl + alt + f4. That WOULD close the neverwinter window but the game will ask you first if you truly want to exit or at least save before exiting. At that point, the mouse cursor is fixed and you can just hit cancel and go back to what you were doing.

Yeah, I usually use alt-F4 as well, since it gives you the option as to whether or not to save, and often I'm not at a point where I want to. But people are usually a bit hesitant to listen to someone telling them to alt-F4, for obvious reasons ;)

I also use Alt F4 and cancel for the same reasons :)

You folks just saved me a lot of aggravation and time, thanks...heh. I was just about to ask the same thing, I have been restarting my computer because of this, I would be in the middle of working on something and, one item I try to drag to quickly ends up locking up my Neverwinter, I'll remember those tips..well no I won't, more than likely I already knew them and forgot them >,<. So this time I'm writing them down. ;) Once this foundry deals done, I'll get on here and post it for everyone to check out, its a test run so there will be some errors probably, but I've slaved over this thing to get it as right as I could.
