Given a message by a mysterious traveler, you start an epic quest to thwart the Crimson Cabal, practitioners of the dark arts. OOC: "The Grey has Risen" is a multi-part campaign still in progress. Book One consists of back-story and undead combat, setting up future quests in the storyline. As I'm planning on continuing the campaign to its distant conclusion, I'd love to get any and all feedback!

Has anyone been able to play this all the way through? Not sure if it's buried or unable to be completed; just looking for one successful play-through if anyone can help :)

When the servers come back up in a few hours, I'll make this the first thing I try out. Will report back.

Hello! I just played through, and there are no major bugs or anything preventing a full playthrough, so that's a good start. I left a brief review in the Foundry window itself, but I'll expound on it.

I liked the Lore from the get-go. Mysterious passwords and meetings in shady corners give me a little tickle at the back of the neck at the best of times. I did find it a little strange, however, that there could be this enormous teleport in the back of a tavern through a single door, and nobody out front has really noticed!

I can tell that writing is your focus, and I commend that aspect, but you must be careful not to detract from it with hastily constructed custom zones. Right now, yours are extremely barren, just props thrown into basic template zones, and your lore and backstory deserve more. Perhaps spend some more time getting to grips with the zone editing itself. Even just a change of lighting could help the zone, or scattering random vegetation. It certainly has the potential to be an epic battle with a group of undead defenders, but the zone doesn't reflect it. Writers, we may be, but we do have the responsibility of being both director and cinematographer with this tool. We're all learning!

I look forward to getting my teeth into the future episodes. My advice would be to be patient and construct something with some more meat on it before publishing. Let people *really* get to know who you are through your work :) Make a statement.

Oh, and I know we all tend to focus on the negative in reviews of our work, but I am commending you until the end of time for putting in the effort of an real, genuine story instead of another "farm 50+ Ogres 2m!" effort! Please, more!

Awesome, thanks SO much for the review and wonderful critique; I've already taken your advice and added more environment in the outdoor zones! I was a bit hesitant to add too much at first, not knowing how additional objects would affect user performance, but since publishing I've played some remarkable quests with an insane amount of both environmental effects and detail, so I'm sure it's all good!

Great point about the teleporter, and one I'd also contemplated. The sound alone is enough to attract attention, and I'll look into making it a bit more clandestine.

    Thanks again!

Naming a major character Valindra, when that's the name of NWO's big bad, you should probably rename them.
After being told to hurry to the courtyard, there was no indication I could use the door until I got much closer to it, which I only found out by accident after wandering some, you should make the door usable on conversation complete instead of arrival at waypoint.
In the courtyard with the task to kill 5 groups of undead, groups 4 and 5 were hard to find, I wound up wandering around the map. for several minutes looking for them.
"press f to go to next map" needs to be eliminated.
In general, more decoration is needed for the interior maps (I played The Assassin Chronicles right before this, which has very good decoration).
The final task to place the scrap on the table, the table is labelled "Table 01" or something like that.
I could kill things faster than Cryptic thinks I should (level 9 TR), not your fault.
Foundry reported the mission as a 5 minute average time. It took me about 20 minutes. Foundry average time has to be broken, because you spend 5 minutes running around meeting people before ever fighting anything.
The Foundry review screen never appeared for me, not your fault.

    Excellent feedback, thanks!
    - Name changed. I knew that name sounded familiar, lol!
    - Increased the reach point radius, should take care of the issue of having to be too close to the door.
    - Rearranged mob spawn points.
    - Made proofreading edits to quest advancement popups.
    - Still working on decorations! =)
    - Yeah, I had the same issue with average times. Dunno about that one. Nor do I know why you didn't get to review /shrug

    Thanks again!
