Q1: Is community important to you as a player of the Foundry community, and why? Yes, I find the camaraderie, help, and input invaluable. I also find myself challenged to push the envelop and create better things after being inspired by the amazing work that others are doing. Q2: Does creating a game through Foundry give…
I wrote this in 2013 (except for adding the part about teleporter bug) and was sad to see that the challenges mentioned are mostly still relevant. Of course, the positives are as well. Foundry why do you toy with me so?
I got to play A Measure of Character and really enjoyed it! I loved the final battle. Awesome adventure, thanks for sharing it. Review and tip submitted. I do not have anything that is ready for review to trade so just pay it forward and play the post that is up asking for a review in trade. Also... kicking peoples in the…
Welcome to the foundry! I can't wait to see your story. What about placing the building on the highest part of the slope and then hiding the rest with a stone wall and some stairs going up? You may need to use a piece to place under the floaty bit. I like to use dirt covered rocks because it looks like the ground anyway.
5 stars!!! I am awed by how you made it feel so big and epic with one map. The mobs were cool, especially the stone bear thingies. I totally love the changes you made since I played last, especially the bridge pulling together and covered with runes, and the cool way you set up the reward chest at the end!!
Hi, I know it is hard to get the first 15 plays to get the foundry out of testing so I wanted to help out. Unfortunately, the first battle was way not going to happen for me. It was not even close. After about 3 deaths and only killing 2 of the baddies, I had to give up. Stacked mobs can be hit or miss. In this case, I got…
I loved the environment and found the quest fun. I liked that it wasn't too linear and I could just explore on my own. There were some really nice visual lines where the foreground had cool things going on, but even more interesting things could be seen in the distance. It made me want to explore and pulled me in. I played…
<3 Thanks for the kind (re)welcome. I'll check out the Facebook group. We should totally set up a voice chat so we can keep each other company as we adjust y-values n stuff.
I got the chance to play through A Mere Expedition tonight and was so impressed. Amazing work! I'm looking forward to trying the others tomorrow. Last question... (for now :) ) Any chance there is a foundry author voice chat? I'd love to hook up with you creative types but don't seem to be hitting the right corners of the…
Great info! Thanks :) Is there still a foundry author chat channel in game? Also, (perhaps wishful thinking) is there a foundry author guild? I can't wait to try out some of the new foundry titles that you all have been crafting. Any suggestions on what to try first?
I appreciate Zovya's initiative here. To those of you complaining about the system but unwilling to offer up other suggestions, I implore you to at least try this before starting the nay saying. Would it be better if PWE or Cryptic took care of this? Absolutely. But since we cannot force them to do so, why not take the…
Sign me up to run and report these. If anyone wants to get a weekly group run together I'll be glad to do so. I love the idea of the foundry community policing ourselves.
I'm not sure how I missed this thread earlier, but I'm glad I found it. It was super fun to read all the back stories of the board characters :) I got into D&D because there was this guy I had a crush on in high school who played so I joined in to hang out with him. Turns out the guy didn't work out, but I did fall in…
I start with a story outline. Then I think through some high level environmental elements, ie look and style. Next I create character models and costumes. From there I storyboard the thing with each setting and event having a specific point to move the story forward. Then I create the dialog last. (I always put that off…
Thank you guys for the kind words and also for all the great feedback so far! I'll be sure to implement them tonight after work! <3 this amazing community!
