The Orcus set is quite good, but it's also a pretty big investment. I struggled with the same choice between the strength and dex belt. Ultimately, I took the dex because it helps over several stats that are harder to stack than strength. I saw a noticeable increase in my dps over the lostmauth set, for what it's worth.
I deleted it...:( (booo on me!) I burned my lostmauth equipment already, too. That's the only way to test as it doesn't show up as an individual stat in ACT. But, I'm telling you, in PVE, orcus is better. I actually switched to a greater dex belt and gave up on the Lostmauth set, and found that to be better. But, Orcus…
I use invisible infiltrator, stealth into mob, ITC> whirlwind of blades (doubles strength if you hit 5 things)>stealth>dazing strike (hits multiple enemies in cone)> smoke bomb> duelist flurry By the time the control is wearing off, your ITC should be back That rotation should help with your dps and survivability because…
Lostmauth accounted for about 2% of my overall dps (MI exe). After upgrading the orcus set fully, I have seen a roughly 10% increase in DPS. It's difficult to get hard numbers on it because it doesn't show up individually in ACT, but I have seen a good noticeable increase in DPS from switching to the orcus set. There…
"because tr sucks in pve" How on earth do you qualify a statement like that? Firstly, TRs have some of the best DPS in PVE. I'm not BIS (yet), don't have the big guild boons, and my DPS is competitive with most of the high gear scored players out there, even gwfs. Also, there are a several viable builds that are effective…
Something else to consider in favor of the shadow demon is the fact that it has three offensive slots as opposed to the warlock or blink dog that have two offensive and one defensive. This means that you'll get the power bonus from all three bonding runestones instead of the defense stat which is not very useful for rogues.
I think most rogues are willing to share their builds and help each other out, at least in PVE. And, there aren't a lot of recent posts discussing new builds, probably because people have either decided to keep the same builds in a post lostmauth set world, or, like me are still testing things out. But, if someone posts a…
I'd say if your crit is high enough, you'd do more damage using Whirlwind of Blades for the power increase if you are facing a bunch of mobs. In that case, I'd probably run stealth> smoke bomb> WoB> stealth> BF>BF>etc... If I'm not running with a good tank, I'd probably slot ITC in there somewhere.
With Lurker's Assult, invisible infiltrator, and the fire element from wheel of fire, you will get a flat 80% (!) buff to your damage. You also get your stealth back so you will automatically crit. That's on top of any other exe feats and archons you may have. Definitely worth it.
Mostly because improved cunning sneak only increases your stealth time by about 1 second and the damage boost you get from Disciple of Strength and Scoundrel Training are better damage boosts over all.
Thank you for letting me pick your brain. I'll definitely make a few of the changes you suggest. Does the wicked reminder debuff do anything for your damage if you already have a resistance ignore of over 60% in PVE?
Thanks for the feedback! I changed the 70% resistance to 60%. I don't know why I was thinking 70%! Dying Breath and Twisted grin are very good in pve, but if I take them, I'll have to give up my back alley tactics, which I find to give me better overall damage against bosses, especially during the window to proc shadows of…
I just started a blog about tr executioners. It might help you improve, and maybe you all could help me improve, too! Www.nwohackandslash.wordpress.com
TRs are totally viable. I play an executioner and I love making bosses melt! I just started a blog on my build. Check it out, if you like: www.nwohackandslash.wordpress.com
