You know, I had started crafting, but found that the item requirements and the time to really level it up was not worth the effort; time invested in skilling, needing to buy stuff needed on the AH, etc, to me just wasn't worth it. By the time I was able to make anything of use, I had long outgrown it. I spent most of my…
"Recommended" can be pretty much a lie half the time. While some of the recommended items will bump up your GS, it doesn't necessarily put points in areas that you want to focus on. I don't care too much about regeneration, deflection, or apen (yet). What I do care about are crit/power/recovery. Defense is nice, but unless…
Open your launcher, and go to the upper right hand corner. Click options, then choose "Force Verify". It will check the status of your files, and may require some files to be downloaded.
Good to hear it. Hopefully, they checked in house as well...in my case, to the house was fine, but once inside it dropped like a hot rock through butter.
There is a thread here regarding a similar issue. Textural problems. There is some good advice in there. I can understand being frustrated with no responses, but the bug forums are *full* of posts, and when there isn't a lot of information to go on, you're less likely to get anyone who'll be able to give advice. In this…
Instead of being snarky that you didn't get a response within 3 hours... How about a screenshot? "Or something like that" isn't very descriptive. If you are getting a specific error, replicate it and show it so people can be more helpful.
System specs? What version of Direct X do you have? FYI: there is a post (albeit older one) regarding Direct X errors http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?138741-Need-Feedback-Direct3D-and-DirectX-Errors
Bumps aren't helpful. System specs ARE (OS/video card/driver version), output of any errors and/or dxdiag. Before you go ALL WILLY NILLY with long posts in regards to errors/system spec...please, for all that's green and fuzzy, wrap inCODE tags
Indeed. I have 0 issues with other games as well. WvW, however, just killed it. It was only after I started looking at the logs that I realised it was actually dropping more often than I had initially thought. Hopefully a tech will be able to give you some input. Good luck!
I had a similar sort of issue, however it was with GW2. It's a bit of a story, so bear with me. Every time in WvW, I'd get disconnected. I could see that my router logs were auto-resetting the modem. 6 months, and 5 tech visits later, I finally had a competent technician. They could see that the connection was fine to the…
There are long posts in the bug forum. Long and the short of it, you can do a few things. 1. Follow the workaround posted in bugs 2. If you haven't deleted your installation files, run setup.exe again and it will just download/update the patcher. 3. Disable Avast (or add to global ignore list in avast...although, mind you,…
Folks might not need to download everything again; I (being the packrat that I am) kept the setup.exe along with all of the install files. If you haven't deleted it, you can just run setup again and it will just update the launcher. It's about 410mb (for me at least), and takes a minute or so. And agreed, it looks as if…
Sadly, I rebooted my system and Avast deleted it. No longer in the virus chest. So, back to fixing it with a download, as the Game Client just hangs on connecting to game server. Good job, Cryptic ><
