I just got an error message regarding a corruption with a bin file in relation to a panther companion? It pops up after I load the launcher and attempt to get on ANY of my characters that are in the Protectors enclave ONLY! WTF
This only started today since the latest patch.
I did not purchase the $200 founders pack .... so I do NOT have a panther. So why would I be prevented from logging in? I have been able to log in just fine up until this last patch ... someone help!
This message was repeated twice throughout the message box. I was able to submit a crash report once... but only once. The rest of the time it just kicks me off.
I just had this same issue today. I created a new character this morning, finished the tutorial, and crashed when entering the Enclave. I tried to enter info in the crash report that popped up, but it went away before I could type anything in.
My error message is slightly different, texture_library/costumes/avatars/C_Skinhand_Stone_01_N.WtexP
Also, the first time I open the launcher back up after the crash it will stick on "Patching" with the Play button showing "Cancel". When I cancel and restart it gives me the "Play" option.

Open your launcher, and go to the upper right hand corner. Click options, then choose "Force Verify".
It will check the status of your files, and may require some files to be downloaded.
NB. what Im saying is not 100% accurate but close enough to explain things.
This game keeps alot of data compressed and decompresses it when you need it. After decompression it verifies the integrity of the files it will need for that area. If there is an error in the decompression or the verification of the file it will crash the game.
So in your case, the panther file is corrupted, or at least the game thinks its corrupted. You are in an area that other people have panthers, the game tries to access that file, sees its corrupted and then proceeds to panic and kill itself.
This happens fairly frequently. More then it should at the very least. Fortunately there are several cumbersome solutions to get you back in the game.
Use the launcher to verify files (this has never worked for me)
Delete the affected pigg files or all of them if you cant find out which one you need and the launcher will reacquire them (about 4gigs)
Reacquire the pigg files but this time save a working copy. Next time this error happens copy the working ones over the broken ones and your launcher will patch to current version (couple hundred megs instead of gigs)

This is how I came to my conclusion (I get this error every couple weeks)
