  • You could have 'Reach Points' along the pathway of your map. As the player walks over them, hrmm. . . come to think of it, you'd still have to have an objective tied to the reach point I think. Sorry, thought it might work.
  • I would suggest making a 'random timer' type encounter where you spawn a few encounters to fight each other out of sight of the player. Then, depending upon which encounter dies first (component complete), a different portal appears for the player to click on. Thus transporting them to a semi-random location on your map.
  • Yay! you're back! I've updated MoB For a Day - should be funny [NW-DF66TLIAM] and could use a look at the progress on my Wailing Caverns Rip-off. . .er. . .Woeful Cave [NW-DFOEHE955]
  • Ooo, perfect! This works for my current project.
  • Well Stomp, I have a revamped version of my original quest MoB For a Day (NW-DF66TLIAM) which is needing a review. And if you're okay with checking out a work in progress, my rip-off to Wailing Caverns from WoW is in the works but reviewable. It's first part is fully complete and run as a sandbox style quest: Woeful Cave…
  • After learning a few tricks of the trade, I went back to my original quest MoB For a Day[NW-DF66TLIAM] and reworked, redecorated, and repaired it. I submit version 2 for your perusal and hope that you enjoy it.
  • A new author was having the same issue and those of us on at the time couldn't help them. They had Guard Frinko as their initial contact NPC. I'm unsure if it is just that NPC or if there are other contacts with this bug.
  • There is the option to consume the required item. I use that and have the quest set up to use a maximum of 3 bag spaces at anyone time. Less if there are multiple players working the same faction/quest-line. I agree and sympathize with the need to limit bag space usage. I'm guessing that either the developers didn't think…
  • What I failed to mention was the fact that this particular quest allows multiple payers to all do things at the same time. To ensure that they didn't accidentally interact with something that another person was looking for, I had items associated. I am working around this limitation, mainly through the use of 'faction…
  • I actually used the new version where it (supposedly) just drops the quest item. But if I need to, I'll go back to dropping an interactable and having that drop the quest item. It works fine in the editor, but then there's always been differences between the editor and published live. *Edit* So now that I have the…
  • Counter to this question; how do you make encounters respawn? Do they need to be on specific maps, separated by a certain distance, and/or over 250' from players to do so? There are a few places in my current quest where I'd like to have this happen.
  • Hello Tsumoro, I just love the sound of your voice! If you are still running these, then I'd like to submit my humble little quest. Just as a warning, it might make you laugh. Quest Name: MOB for a day Short Code: NW-DF66TLIAM
  • Thank you for your video review. I was very pleased to hear you chuckling (and nearly dying of laughter at one point). As I find the time, I'll be implementing some of your suggestions and adding a few more Easter eggs. This being my first quest, allowed me to figure out the mechanics of the Foundry. I'll likely work on my…
  • @chibbi - NW-DF66TLIAM - MoB for a day I attempted Heroic Adventures -Ch 1.) The Headless Hero. I had seen a video play through of an earlier incarnation to this quest and was pleasantly surprised by the depth and growth that your quest had undergone. Some of the points that stood out for me were: 1. Once inside the Crypt,…
  • Title: MOB For A Day Author: @chibbi Short Code: NW-DF66TLIAM Estimated Time: 15-20 minutes Type of Quest: Semi-RP, Low-Med Combat, Lore Enhancing, Humorous. Notes: One Stacked Combat with guard assistance for Final Encounter (Looking to see if the assistance ratio works for the player). Gripes: Author finally gave up…
  • Yup, there appears to be a bug preventing us from entering the Foundry. Kinda bummed as I had today off to edit my Foundry quest.
  • Your review did, indeed go through. Thank you. I also utilized some of your suggestions. Thanks for catching that spelling error. . .the ONE time I didn't use an outside writing program. (sheesh!)
  • So some of the things that really caught my attention: Aside from all the grammar and spelling issues, most of which have already been covered, there were two conversations which I found jarring. I felt a pressing need to continue the conversation with the bartender after the attack, and thought it was missing somehow. I…
  • Gonna run your quest now. Mine is: MoB for a Day NW-DF66TLIAM Duration Unsure. Hoping it makes the 15 minute mark. Solo yes Humorous, Combat, slightly immersion-breaking. Fast run.
  • Yeah, nothing seems to affect a change. I even deleted the entire encounter and rebuilt it. Now I did have both encounters running side-by-side in the story mode, so I figured that perhaps the game was just reading the first encounter and glossing over the pathing info of the second. I moved the second encounter to spawn…
  • I didn't know about the water/rubble pathing issue, however this encounter is on a level area with no obstructions. I will totally erase the patrol points this time around and see if that does it (crosses fingers and toes).
  • Thanks! And I appreciate the alternative ideas too.
  • ;) And thanks for good ideas.
  • Understood, and thank you. While it made more sense in my story otherwise, I was able to re-word the ending to accommodate this feature.
  • Yes. I keep getting an error whenever I attempt to purchase Zen. I tried different forms of payment so I think there is just some miss-connection or something. I would assume that this would be a priority fix since it's the income generator.
