Assuming that I have the final Treasure Chest located in one map. How might I transition to yet another map to continue dialogue with an NPC located there?
The tool tip when mousing over the Quest Reward Chest in Story Mode, states that, "You will be prompted to select the map and chest location for your quest". I can select the location within the current map, but I haven't found a way yet, to select a different map.
It appears that the Quest Reward Chest is linked to the final map and Quest End. But I don't want the quest to end in that map. Any ideas?

There is no way to do that. The Reward Chest is always placed in the map where your quest ends. It's placed there because it's a reward for finishing the quest. By default, by the time the players get to open that chest, they have completed the quest and there is no more quest to do. If there was more quest to do afterwards, it wouldn't be a "Final Reward Chest", hehe.
It would be some kind of not-quite-done-but-almost-there-intermediate-reward-chest
Whilst you can't send them to another map, you could still have a teleporter that only appears at the end to take them to another part of that map that was previously closed off. However, as above, it does have to be part of the same map (though in no way needs to look like the same place).
You could definitely fake it with teleporters, the way that yospeck describes. That may serve your needs
Just remember that getting the Reward Chest is the 'official' last thing the player has to do to complete the storyboard objectives. Anything you do after that can't be part of the storyboard.

In this old school-style adventure, the hero(es) explore an old ruined castle while searching for a fabled magic item at the behest of a wizard.
And thanks for good ideas.
