I think everything that needs to be said, has been. This is not something the players want or asked for and will further serve to put up a pay wall for the game.

Why are existing mounts not affected by this change?

The 2 new drake mounts from lockbox.

Someone just close one eye or how you would explain this fatal mistake no one thought about how it will make pvp unfair where you need to be fast at nodes also the mounts has other ability as pet which damage in pvp?

Also its a skyhigh advantage 10% (4k movement) more speed for character in pvp... most other player have like 3-4% more speed overall.

or it will be not active in pvp?
but i dont saw it in the news if it is.

I am sure they thought about it and decided they could make money this way ;)

    It's not a mistake it's a calculated move.

Long story short without an upgrading book i will never buy this mount even if i can affort it. I would rather stop playing and do my wallet a favour.

My opinion: I like the idea we get a new Tier of mounts and with a bit time passes maybe we see more different Tier 4 mounts and maybe some that are easier to aquire.

The worst part is, I used to have almost a 10% speed boost from Dark Enchantments in my utility slots. They took it away. Now they want to sell it back to me in the form of a mount.

I have seen a lvl 60 toon with lower movement score than I have... in her level 60 Profound gear... and she had almost 13% movement boost.

In some ways we got screwed by this Mod. They gave us more HP a little more Power, Crit and ArPen... took away a lot more than they gave. I do about the same damage as I did before Mod 6 hit... but I am slower with a higher Movement score, 1400.

Existing mounts in the cash shop need to be reduced in price to reflect how useless they are in comparison to a T4 mount that can run 140% ,gives the character +4000 movement and has an attack and T4 mounts need to be added to the cash shop for 4000 - 5000 zen so regular players aren't forced into gambling in order to try to keep up , also a way to upgrade existing mounts needs to be added aat a reasonable price that will allow us to upgrade existing mounts to T4 .

No, put in lockbox is a right decision for them.

I have a feeling once the purchasing of keys slows down they'll introduce rank 4 manuals for epic mounts.I think there's a lot of money to be made there on everyone and their mother upgrading on multiple toons.

With this new super turkey out there. I expect that the next lockbox trading event might result in actual fatalities as people push, kick, shove, and scramble, to trade their old now worthless orange mounts to the new shining jewel.

    A. They couldn't if the mounts are the ones they've been using, only ones they've been sitting on to sell.

    B. Strum has actually said (maybe it was on Twitter?) that he doesn't intend to revive lockbox trading because of the chaos it tended to create. "Are they doing trades right now?" "Where is Arko?" [sic] "I'll pay anyone to invite me to trade instance." "So and so cut in line!" (with a new account to circumvent the one trade per account per day rule to boot) blah blah blah.... I think he's in the right. These events were very rarely beneficial to the community at large, only cutthroat traders looking to increase the value of their inventory.

That will be funny. Attack of the tensers disk.

I'd be surprised if they add attacks for every mount if they do add an upgrade book ,they will probably do it similar to how they did it in star trek when T6 ships were introduced , they gave players a way to upgrade T5 ships but T5U was still not as good as the proper T6 ships , I expect that any upgrade book would probably just increase speed to 140% and maybe add the +4000 movement.

There's also a lot of money to lose on people who will just say "<naughty word here> it!" and leave the game for good.

People don't need to say "<naughty word here> it" and leave. People just need to come to the conclusion that spending money is not worth it, if Cryptic, in their greed, keeps <naughty word here> them over. They must be insane if they think I'm gonna spend any more money on something that will turn out to be useless in a few months.

I couldn't care less about the attack. the movement boost is handy, though. is 10% dismounted movement speed worth the millions of AD this thing is going to cost on the auction house though? not even a 30% boost to mount speed is worth several million AD in my opinion. I woould however pay to upgrade my existing mount, though. I dunno. The thing is, not enough people are going to have this to force people to compete. So a whale gets to the draconic heralds first - big deal. they're not going to kill it on their own.

I predict a "Manage Mount Powers..." button whereby you could select what gets boosted: movement, power, defense, or something else...

Yet another shortsighted moneygrab, I'm sure everybody whose investing heavily now to get the BIS mount will regret it in short order...

One way or another, anybody who wants BIS will be upgrading/replacing their mounts.
