Classes and Balance
General
  • Rank 4 of Paragon powers are now correctly locked until the player is level 70 and has spent 70 power points.
  • Many of the new class powers have received minor FX and animation updates.
Control Wizard
  • Arcane Power Field: No longer incorrectly plays the Level Up fx repeatedly.
  • Imprisonment: Now can be correctly slotted in the Spell Mastery Slot.
  • Devoted Cleric: Resolved an issue with Hastening Light giving more Action Points than intended.
Trickster Rogue
  • Knife's Edge: Bloodbath now correctly only triggers this feat once.
  • Oppressive Darkness: Now causes 10% per rank, up from 5%. This power now correctly matches its tooltip.

Content and Environment
Drowned Shore
  • Breathless: Increased the drop rate for the Necklace of Air Breathing.
  • It should now be possible to reach The Drowned Shore without having taken the "Coast Guarding" quest.
  • Merchants in Distress: This Heroic Encounter's timer has increased to 15 minutes up from 9 seconds.
  • Stolen Memories: Slightly increased drop rate for Guardsman Mementoes.
Fiery Pit
  • Excavated Tomb: A cutscene that was playing more frequently than intended has been fixed to play only once upon entering the final room.
  • Many polish fixes and text clarification to the quests in this zone.
Reclamation Rock
  • Added additional objectives to many quests including more Portals and Scrolls to summon Blackmantles.
  • There is now a tunnel to go from inside Helm's Cathedral to the outside of Scar Keep.
Other
  • Sharandar: Removed the white orb from the Invocation area.
  • Spinward Rise: Battle for Mithral Point Heroic Encounter now goes for the full 20 minutes instead of failing at 15.
  • Temple of the Spider: There is now a campfire before Lord Jevan Jevalhar.
  • Tiamat's Hoard Donation now resets weekly instead of every hour. Tiamat is still available to fight at the end of every hour.
  • Tutorial: Resolved an issue that could put players into a stuck quest state and unable to progress.
  • Tyranny of Dragons: Ghost Stories: All areas within the Ghost Stories quest should now properly level-scale to 70, making the zone a little more manageable.
  • Updated high level "Seal Vendors" to be "Seal Traders" like their counterparts at low levels, and given the fact that they do not sell seals. Updated the high level seal trader in PE to have a more generic title instead of "Unicorn and Drake" and put an icon on the map for him.

Enemies
  • Death Slaad: Cloudkill now deals 150% more damage.
  • Valindra: Profane Fire can no longer hit players just outside of the FX area.

Items and Economy
  • Armor Kits: The tooltip has been adjusted to more clearly state that they require an item level instead of a required level.
  • Artifacts: Resolved an issue with several Mythic artifacts not getting improved damage such as; Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue, Thayan Book of the Dead and Belial's Portal Stone.
  • Bags of Holding: These items are now all Bind on Equip. Any current bags slotted will become bound.
  • Black Ice equipment can once again be salvaged for Black Ice instead on only 1000 Rough Astral Diamonds.
  • Bloodtheft: No longer improperly triggers more times than expected.
  • Briartwine Enchantment: Rank 11 and 12 items now exist and can be created.
  • Bulette: Animations and FX has been slightly adjusted to be improved.
  • Companions
  • Augment companion stats now go up instead of down when becoming Legendary.
  • Intellect Devourer's Active bonus now properly works.
  • Resolved an issue with some companions not being usable in Sword Coast Adventures such as the Archons and the Cambion Magus.
  • Resolved an issue with the Legendary bonus of companions failing to provide benefits after 11 seconds.
  • Daily dungeon bonus rewards, specifically the "Cache of the Elements" and "Cache of the Protector" rewards granted upon completing eligible epic dungeons have undergone the following changes: After receiving a daily cache, a player will become eligible to receive that cache again after the daily reset, which occurs at 2 AM PST (3 AM PDT, 6 AM EDT, 10 AM GMT), as opposed to 18 hours after receiving their cache. A player must open any cache from the previous day in order to receive a new cache upon completion of a dungeon. Failure to do so may result in the loss of a cache, however, if a player opens their old cache immediately after defeating an eligible boss, they will be granted their new day's cache immediately.
  • Dread Ring: The Bounty Master in Dread Ring will now sell a "Dread Ring Treasure Cache" for 40 onyx fragments. The cache contains one ring, neck or waist of uncommon or rare quality around the player's current level.
  • Enemies level 72 and higher now properly drop items when the player is not Bolstered to level 70.
  • Ensorcelled Mulhorand Mace and Shield now properly scale past level 60.
  • Forgehammer of Gond: The Mythic quality of the Forgehammer of Gond will now summon a Mythic quality too that gives +55% to item quality.
  • Gateway: Fix for daily SCA rewards not giving anything 20% of the time when the character is level 60-69.
  • Greater Belt of the Seldarine: Resolved an issue wherein the Greater Belt of Seldarine was granting less ability score at epic and legendary quality than expected.
  • Heart of the White Dragon: This artifact now correctly activates at player level.
  • Lifedrinker Enchantment: Fixed description in lifedrinker enchantment to better describe the behavior.
  • Loamweave Enchantment: The root caused by this enchantment no longer pierces CC Immunity.
  • Lostmauth Artifact Set: This set bonus no longer incorrectly triggers rapidly on powers that tick frequently.
  • Professions: Corrected the names of a couple profession items to be consistent with each other such as the adamantium jewelcrafing neck items.
  • Pure Terror Enchantment: The root caused by this enchantment no longer pierces CC Immunity.
  • Resolved an issue wherein the Sharandar Treasure Cache and Icewind Dale Treasure Cache gave level 58-60 rewards regardless of the player's current level."
  • The Dungeon Master's Guide will now display dungeon bonus eligibility in terms of "bonuses available today" instead of "bonuses received.""
  • The Paladin artifact weapon "Longsword of Elemental Fire" has been changed to "Mace of Elemental Fire," in accordance with this the item's visual appearance has changed as well.
  • The icons for the following items have been updated: Seal of the Elements, Cache of the Elements, Seal of the Protector, Cache of the Protector.
  • Wheel of Elements: The artifact tooltip now specifies the duration of the temporary health and heal over time effect it grants.

Performance and Stability
  • Resolved a case where shaders and materials would need to be rebuilt when logging into the game extraneously.
  • Resolved a crash or disconnect that could occur when changing maps.
  • Resolved a crash or disconnect that could occur when entering a Foundry Quest map.

User Interface
  • Action point meter now describes how Oathbound Paladins earn Action points.
  • Collections: A number of collections entries have been updated to improve clarity about where and how items are obtained.
  • History: Origins now display the correct version for all chosen Origins.
  • Item tooltips in stores have had a dispel cast on the levitate spell that was causing them to float away in some cases.
  • Level Up Wizard: This UI no longer suggests to go to content you have already started such as Sharandar and Dread Ring.
  • Refinement: Stacks of items may now be slotted instead of individual items. Up to five stacks of refinement items may be used at one times. The estimated total RP value of the stack is displayed when slotted and the actual total value (crits) is displayed when Refined.
  • Zen Market: The sub categories have returned instead of the filter dropdown.

    These patch notes look not ordered as we are used to read them.

    Classes

    1. Hope u made sure u checked both hastening lights from class features and off hand feature.
    2. Hunter ranger's exploit that gives a constant of DoT's was not fixed?.
    3. Not a balance for paladin first daily being too much?
    4. Not a needed balance for a warlock class?

    Environment
    1. Mistral point battle vanishes when it gets to minute 5:00
    2. U're missing a lot of more quests that need more drop chances for items.
    3. Pve campaigns being too insane, heroic encounters should be for groups without forcing us to get a group for simple solo-dailies.
    4. Well done for tiamat's donation. But have u wondered if any recent raid has made it?
    5. I was expecting to see daily pvp matches would give a seal of thriump and 500 glory to be fair with the old rewards for newbies.

    Will there be a way to get the black ice from the black ice gear we have already salvaged? I was sorely disappointed when I just got 1K AD for it.

    Most of Warlock's Encounters and Class Features are ridiculously useless or utterly unusable in endgame play.
    And yet there's still no fixes.

    Great job.
    Broken mechanics, broken class designs, lack of actual content, and over zealous, bronze-age moderation?

    So we were told of a GWF change to unstoppable and determination gain with DR earlier during preview, and it was stated that it would be in the 23/04 release. I was wondering if it has been rolled out, or if it was missed from the patch.

    all In all I'm happy too see a lot of bug fixes, and interested too see what rank 11-12 briattwine look line ( can someone make one and link the desc for me? But the balance changes section is quite small, The KE bug being fixed is AWESOME however, still lame when you get oneshot by a 93k SE though.

    So the unlocks for rank 4 are functioning properly, are the powers thenselves fixed? Or can they just be properly ranked up to level 4 at which point they stop working partially/completely? I.E. weapon master GWF passive works fine up to rank 3. Rank 4 it simply does not proc or stack, at all. Just looking for some clarification as the very first bullet point seems incomplete considering the dramatic across-the-board-all-classes-had-at-least-one repercussions. Costs zen to respec those powers, I will wait if ranking them up, again, causes the entire power to malfunction.

    How about the fact that Fox cunning diminishes all damage output when you use a Feythouched. whenever fox is active we can`t do any damage

    Will Bags of Holding become character bound or account bound? I'll be fine with account bound but if they are character bound I will not be a happy customer.

    Same with it Reducing the damage paladins deal, and not triggering on BL, seems to work well on other classes though, I bought it for my pally though, anyone wanna buy a pure fey, hahahahaha

    Welcome back strum. Good to see you. How was Vegas and the Americas? These patch notes look awesome!! Great start to get the ball rolling, and if anyone gives you beef over it....send them to me. I'll handle it, Vegas style. :p

    Unproductive, pls remove from these threads. The unspoken "bug fixes" are hopefully not another of the same old 'cryptic' lie meaning nothing. This is getting exhausting, please get down to business and stop trying to baffle us with poorly worded bullsheet. I want to play the game towards goals, achievable in an ordinate amount of time, without worrying that items/sets/boons/mechanics/the fundamental core algorithms are being rewritten and/or changed/nerfed/'improved'/replaced/ etc. etc. etc.....

    In the name of the invisible man in the sky, show some consistency and offer the product you sell. I would be embarrassed for this game companies' development, sales, and primarily retention departments. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

    Not another dedicated player out there who wouldn't put game switch on hold if NWO would just pretend to see from consumer point view.

    No added dungeons, no toned down difficulty, no different gear? Basically no added incentive to keep players in the game.

    I agree. My main character is warlock. I loved playing him. Now his power is useless. He used to feed upon souls of the enemies, now he just nibbles on them..

    Warlocks deserve more balance.

    There was absolutely nothing in the patch notes regarding HR's. Which begs the question, should someone who can't read tell someone else they can't read?

    regarding HR's, the multiple nerfs done to HR's in mod6 has all but made the HR useless, at least those that are pure archery. This has occurred for many classes since mod 3. And in many ways you are forced to play a specific style, chosen by Cryptic, in order to play the class.

    As an example, for a SW, you are pretty much forced to go down the paragon path that keeps your soul puppet active at all times, or you die frequently and can't do a lot of damage. For HR's you're all but forced into being a trapper or combat path. For CWs, you have to go ice, otherwise you in deep trouble. GWFs are often forced between being hard hitters with a glass body, or a full fledged tank who hits as if his sword was a wet noodle.

    What I would truly love to see is Cryptic to make the game so that you can succeed regardless of the path you choose. The same goes for weapon and armor stats. If I want to play a GWF that is based on power, crit, arp and defense and my epic/artifact gear is based in power, recovery and regeneration (and regeneration is useless during battle now) exactly how is this "right"?

    Why not make all gear give random stats, and you keep running dungeons, or whatever until you get what you want, for the way you want to build your character? Maybe I don't want LS or Regen or Recovery or Deflect. Maybe I want a full set of armor that is all power, crit, arp and defense, why can I not have that? Every time a new type of epic armor or artifact gear or jewelcrafting whatever comes out, I have to re-do enchants or whatever because cryptic has changed what stats they're putting on the gear. One of the best things about other games, and especially DND pen n paper play is that I can truly create my own character, tailor it to what *I* think is best, not what someone else thinks is best.

    One of things I loved about Neverwinter is something on your cut screens between maps, "All normal content can be completed with a character and a companion alone", then you changed the rules in Mod6 and made it so unless you're one of the OP classes, you have to group. Well, the thing is, some of us are lone wolves and don't want to group. And from what I've been reading in zone chat, that's a lot of people who are lone wolves, and we only want to group in dungeons or skirmishes, or Gautlgrym, etc. So again, why is Cryptic forcing us, its players, to change the way we want to play, not to mention turning 1/2 the game upside down and inside out and invalidating or making multiple classes, or paths within classes totally unplayable? That's much akin to shooting yourself in the head...

    Yes, you can always get new players, but when you don't even listen to us, as you showed us when we gave you feedback on the preview server before this mod6 fiasco went live, you show us that you only care about our money, not about US.

    Yes, this is a business, and it's for profit, but you've forgotten something very important, if you don't treat your customers right, your customers will no longer patronize your business, and will spread that information around. Eventually your bottom line will shrink more and more until your business is out of business.

    Yo,

    when will be fixed the bug with paladin shield ? Freezing rays of CWs are going through CC immunity when paladin have shield active. If I remeber correctly, the same problem was with GFs shield before.

    Plz, fix that as soon as possible. That is destroying pvp for paladins.

    I'm actually baffled they didn't address the temptation tree for SW. The only class that uses lifesteal to heal and at its current state can not perform as a sufficient healer or off-healer.

    Also, please tone down the difficulty on the dungeons sheesh. I mean, can you guys get sued for false advertising when you say a CC run take's ~30min when all actuality it takes 3hrs, or were you only addressing the boss fight IF you don't die during?

    Please answer. the new content is pretty great minus the recycled parts. That's annoying. Can't wait to move on from tiamat.
