So where's my access? I'm a STO lifer, and I could use a little appreciation for sticking with the game so long.
As has been stated multiple times in this thread, on the web site, and multiple other places in these forums:
You DO NOT need a key, email, or invitation to download the client. As an STO lifer you have had access to the game installer for quite some time already. No key is needed as your account is already flagged for the access if you qualify. The only people who need keys are those from the magazines or other special offers outside the norm, such as the friends keys we got for buying the founders packs.
Download the game. Once it is downloaded, install the game
Expect this install to take between 3 - 4 gigs on your PC
Once installed, wait until Beta starts this weekend. Once the servers go live, you can patch with whatever updates they release for the weekend.
Once patched, click Play
Enjoy, but do not forget to give feedback and bug reports as needed to the Devs. After all, we're here to test, not Demo.
I hope this helps.
EDIT: I want to add that as of the end of Beta 1, there was a little over 3 gigs for my install, and a little over a gig I think for updates. I do not know if all will be wrapped into the install for weekend 2 for those who have not yet installed, however at this time expect to have at least 5 - 6 gigs minimum free on your PC to safely get this game installed.
I wonder when will the CO and STO keys being mailed out for lifers? I'm downloading the client now but hoping I get to do the beta this weekend still...
You are already most of the way there. You do not need a key as a lifer. Now that you downloaded the client, all you need to do is install, then wait and log in when the servers go live. It should be automatic if you are a lifer.
Confused by this post. Would be nice for a straight answer if at all possible. When will those people with convention keys (i.e., PAX Prime flyers) be allowed into beta? Weekend 2 or Weekend 3?
>.< what happened to the old school beta.. where it was more than a weekend... i wont be buying a game w/o trying it 1st, IDC what kind of kool items you offer... if you give me a beta key, ill buy a pack.. I want to buy a pack before release, to take advantage of the items, but im not getting burned by another game.. wont happen.. so if you want my money now, hook a brotha up... if not, then i guess it waits till release.

Woah woah woah, before you start crying because you didn't get the luxury treatment, why not get your hands on a PC Gamer key? They're not that hard to get.

The game is free to play, so you don't have to buy the game, but if you want shinies then yes you can buy a founders pack, as an added bonus the packs give you beta weekend access.
If that doesn't sit well with you then hit up one of the sites doing key giveaways, Pc gamer and the like. there's always a way.

The PC Gamer keys DO grant beta access, as well as one of two mounts.

I would love to know "Why" there is a delay in me getting mine. #1 I was first day sto lifer buyer, The day it came up, I was one of the first buyers. #2 My email alphabetically is in the abc catagory. #3 My username is also low end alphabet. So it's like weird. unless the list is just randomized and they are just going threw it willy nilly.

Are the pc gamer people supposed to receive beta emails? Because I didn't get one yet.

I purchased a guardian's pack, but I don't see any beta key sent to me. Is there a place to find this? Thanks,
Those who purchase a founders pack DO NOT receive a key, rather the account that the founders pack was purchased under is automatically flagged with beta access.

The only time that a beta key would be sent to you would be if you had purchased the "Hero of the North" Founders pack. The key that is sent to you then would be a friend key and is only good for one of the remaining Beta Weekends.
