So counting ALL the posts and dividing them into TWO camps: PVP ALL OTHER TOPICS.
So far, up to this point.
PVP posts - 52 ALL OTHER posts - 39 Seems like PVP is the majority (if you cant tell) of what people want.
Also interesting to note, the "ALL OTHER" posts section is primarily made up of Foundry Requests.
Aside from my "Stat Equalization" post on Page 3 - mimicing what WoW has done. I dont understand why we have not utilized Foundry for PVP maps. The solution seems VERY simple here. Create a new "Event": "Make your own PVP map!" You create two QUEs - the normal PVP que and the new "test foundry PVP" Que.
Players can submit PVP maps, it will que people into said PVP maps, they vote on the map.
At the END of the event (2-4 weeks) YOU (DEVS/Cryptic) evaluate the top 3 maps, give awards to those creator (titles?) and then do a quick Q/A pass over the #1 map and then throw it into the Domination Mix.
The community can create the PVP maps. I have played a few foundry maps that were made for the intent of being a "test pvp map" and it was AWESOME. It blows my mind we are not using the creative power of the community....
Same can be said for dungeons. Run an event. Take the top ranked dungeon. Do a QA Pass through it, and create a new list of "Cryptic Approved" dungeons in the Foundry that have all passed QA and have chests at the end of them - treated like every other dungeon, also with appropriate loot tables.
Let the community DESIGN, community vote, you (DEVs) can do Quality Control and EVERYONE is happy. We get new content faster and MORE of it. You have less work....
Other is rather firmly in second place in the actual pole, behind Systems Design. Since only those who voted for 'Other' were encouraged to post in the thread, it only makes sense that the PVP responses would dominate in posts but has no bearing on what the majority have voted for.

I honestly think both Foundry and PvP are the most neglected "Features" of this game. Rather than dividing ourselves over which deserves the most "love," both communities should unite in calling for improvements to BOTH. A well rounded player base is a healthy player base and benefits the game as a whole. By standing together, we can make this game better for ALL players.
They are also both game features which were AMAZING in 2013 and their interested playerbases have been tripping over themselves asking "wha happen?" ever since.

Yes BUT, many players feel their voice not being heard on these forums. There seems to be little interaction or even acknowledgement from the DEVs that PVP is even something they are aware of or on their radar.
If PVP becomes a topic on the next Q/A players (like myself) are HOPING this discussion in the Q/A is their thoughts on what they will/can do to address the PVP concerns the community has brought up. Frankly, you cant shy away from the poor state of PVP if PVP is something they will talk about.
So in a sense, yes, its not "what we want" but it also is "Hey DEVs, this is something we want to have YOU (DEVS) talk about on live stream". Which inevitably will give us answers as to what they think about the state of PVP and what they plan to do (if anything) to fix it.

This honestly blows my mind. We know the Russian servers, specifically the PVP players, USED to be the largest revenue source for this game. Yet its continually neglected? Do you not like sales? It makes no sense... You can say "we gave you GG and BID, and Open world PVP, and SH Siege" but guess what. Each and everytime we got those things, the PVPers (who it was designed for right?) TOLD you guys "no companions" and what happens? Its ruined with companions.... So now, nobody does BID, nobody does Open world PVP, and nobody does Siege. You create these systems for PVPers then ignore PVPer feedback. LOL.
Overall, the "what did WOW do" post I wrote, would alleviate this and eliminate some of this. Maybe BID can remain the same, but SH Siege... I would make GG/SH/Dom ALL "normalized" stats - just like WOW did. You will see TONS of players flock to those game modes again.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to clarify that this poll is for what Dev topic you would be interested in seeing on a Twitch/FB stream. This would involve having the relevant Developer for that topic do a live Q&A. This poll is not intended to reflect what area of the game you would like to see more work being done on, but simply what area of Neverwinter development you are most interested in learning about. For example, say you really want an update in the Game's PvP aspect but you want to learn more about how classes are balanced or how we design the environment for a dungeon/battle. You would then choose either Systems Design or Environment Art in this poll.
I tell you what, I'd be all for having a PvP Map design contest. I think it would bring some authors who have gone M.I.A. back, and I think it would get some PvP folks interested in using the Foundry. That's all best reserved for an entirely different thread though, and the editor would have to be brought back up before it would be a possibility. It's good seeing folks from PvP come out in support of the Foundry as well, thank you. We are all important to the future of this game. This thread should not devolve into a competition for votes, but instead it should be a search for answers about the features that definitely need more attention.

On another Positive note it seems like you guys took the feedback from the what new game modes we would like to see in pvp thread (and in pve frankly too )and put them in the new skirmish
Good job testing out low gravity and high gravity icy and environmental hazards these would very very good and fun on dynamic pvp maps as well

is the implication here that there are no relevant pvp devs? Which "category" would you say "Item/Gear-balance in PVP" falls under? Or "matchmaking" or "future content"?
I can safely speak on behalf of the majority of PVPers in this game by saying we want some sort of gear-normalization in PVP. Which area would you classify this as?
On Julia's note, I guess we're all sort of asking for Systems Design and Environment Art. How they relate to both balance in PvP and Foundry creation and what sort of hurdles the devs have to go through to make them available and functional as well as making combat systems fair and balanced? Confusing? Yes, but it seems that's where we're leaning.
