Yeah lads, it's just a super long laggg loading. But after a min or 10... it kicks in and you're back in action.
To all you people saying we should try again please HAMSTER off as you are not at all helpful and are insulting. I have tried 6-7 times to enter the game leaving the screen frozen for over 20 minutes....IT IS BROKEN!!!!!!!! FFS!!!
This may or may not work. ( Currently at work, so no way to test ) but it has in the past.
On the Windows launcher, go into Options / Adv Options.. move your *Graphics shader bar to low, Then try to log in. Once in, you should be able to slide it back to where ever you had it.
This option is better then resetting all your video settings to low.

What if it still freezes at loading with safe mode? is there supposed to be a lighting option in display settings on pc, which i dont see.
safe mode turns everything off and launches at the lowest possible settings. To be sure, you should delete your gameprefs.pref file and relaunch. Mine is located here: \Games\Neverwinter_en\Neverwinter\Live\localdata.
Also keep in mind that it will generally load but takes something like 10+ minutes. Don't tab out or click on anything else, just launch and walk away. I would give it up to 20 minutes. Are you running on a laptop with 2 video cards? Sometimes the detection software doesn't always work and you need to manually add a game to the list to be launched with your 3D video card. Nvidia calls is Optimus and AMD calls is Enduro. Google how to manually add a game if this is the case.
If it still doesn't launch, you probably need to contact support.

What he sayd,i cant start even with Safe Mode,i have tryed deleting the log file aswell, nothing, any oter ideas ppl?looks like the PWE team doesent care about us much....
Also having this problem. It even went "Not Responding" while in this Safe Mode. Been going on since yesterday, after a 300-something MB patch was installed for Neverwinter. It just sits there. It eventually went through w/ Safe Mode but, that was a while later. It just got stuck in regular mode. Same thing with multiple of my systems.
Edit: Just managed to get through w/ Safe Mode then delete the preferences file & it logged in. Let us see how long this works.

I used to run into this problem after every patch but it has always been related to the lighting settings for BOTH STO and NWO. I remember that it eventually loaded and only did this the first time after a patch. Once it ran it course, it seemed to load fine.
ok finally loaded a char but can't do anything, literally nothing, can't invoke, can't reset tasks can't summon my horse and if I try to move I get sent back to where I came from after a few seconds (extreme rubberband)
Log in very slow if indeed login works... Char selection screen loads very slow, can take minutes. Once a char is in the game interaction with objests or NPCs causes server not responding and disconnects. The issues I am listing here I get every time I try to log in or get logged in. To the Devs: I am trying to be polite here, I understand problems can be elusive to fix but the game is basically unplayable under these conditions.
I am not sure if those responsible for these sort of issues have their priorities straight. They are so busy patching in-game bugs that they neglect to repair this much more pressing issue. It is counter-productive to fix a game that people cannot even load up due to a patch error. We have yet to even receive feedback from the Devs. on this issue.
The same here, I unistall and re install the game but still the same, I can't pass the loading screed (the screen whit all the logos) is not my pc or drivers I mean, I was playing good until elemantal evil update.
It's sad because they haven't even given us a response on whether or not they are even addressing the issue. Seems to me like they don't care for their customers.
No. The weekly-invoke-coins no longer expire. (The permanent invoke coins never expired). So you won't lose anything except "not being able to play on this computer" until it's fixed.

This is very similar to my situation - I'm doing a forced file chec, been patching for over 1gig now for awhile. Hopefully, when this is done my problems in game will be gone.

I had this happen to me last night. I waited on the "Materials loaded..." screen for 8 minutes and then it popped up with "Account Ticket Authorization Failed" and returned me to the login screen. Then when I logged in again from the client login screen, I went straight to the character select field and haven't had any problems since.
