Stuck at Neverwinter Sign after the patch (CAN'T LOGIN)

Hello everbody,

After the patch something happened to my client and I am unable to login back to the game. After the launcher launches the game, it loads and when the Neverwinter sign comes it stucks there and the game stops responding... What do I do?

    Yep, same problem here. Stuck at the "Loading..." screen.

    Same here my friend.

    I have tried several types of methods to work around this excluding a fresh install. I believe all we can do is sit and wait for a hotfix.

    same here....this is the same crash i have had in the past when pre patched for a new mod.....both times i had to reinstall the game from scratch. Hopefully it is unrelated, and a fix is in the works :)

    Mine auto-signed in because I launched through arc by accident, and is currently patching

    Same here , I can't find way to work around this "Loading" process that leads to game client being unresponsive...
    Its like every patch they provide has some severe functionality issues.

    + same here, the game freezes at the loading screen.

    edit: it took a while but i've managed to get in.

    same here. after 300ish MB patch game goes not responding on main NW loading screen.

    Give it a minute... it will eventually finish doing whatever it is doing... then let you choose a character and get in.

    Yeah lads, it's just a super long laggg loading. But after a min or 10... it kicks in and you're back in action.

    I sign in, click on Play on launcher, then it goes to the Cryptic screen, but when it goes to the Neverwinter logo with all other logos as well, the game ceases to function and after some time a message appears saying that GameClient.exe doesn't respond...

    this. took 3 mins but does get in eventually. Don't trust the not responding, just let it do it's stuff.

    Same thing here log in info, then sits on the loading screen that say's neverwinter !

    Waited for a couple of minutes when it was stuck,
    it got released and went to the login window, entered my info again,
    and it went to the toon select screen.

    It's just reloading all the game's assets. Other MMOs do this too following a patch. Neverwinter usually is pretty speedy about it though, just not today. Just let it do it's thing folks. It will load eventually.

    Really? I haven't noticed game clients to freeze and stop responding for ages after patch in other games.

    error 36: a file was Locked that could not be open for writing
    that what it tells me ????

    Play more games! Whenever ESO patches, it takes me 10 minutes to load the game while it reloads the new assets. Others I play with there, who have way better machines, tell me it takes them 2-5 minutes, depending on patch size.
