    Did Boo get in servers and eat some wires?!

    I tried the force verify and safe mode. It verified the files, and now crashes immediately after i hit the play button. I am done for the night, hopefully it will get fixed by tomorrow

    Still a no go here as well. I have a limited time to play and its up. So I am not getting to play today. Would like to see some sort of compensation for not being able to play thanks to this issue. If I can't play, I can't earn AD or anything else for that matter.

    The patch today has caused a great many of us not to be able to load the game. We can log in but the game doesn't load. There is already a 19 page thread on this issue. The work around suggested in that patch doesn't seem to work for most of us. So until they figure out what they broke and fix it, many of us aren't going to be able to play because the game does not load.

    So, since the Maintenance today I can't seem to get onto Neverwinter, it hangs on the splash screen where it says "Loading" after the Materials are loaded. I've done a force-verify, started in Safe mode, restarted the computer but to no avail it just keeps hanging.

    The only thing I haven't done is a full reinstall.

    OS: Windows Vista 32bit Home Premium SP2
    Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GT 610
    RAM: 3GB
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600

    I am having the same problems. Tried all sorts of different ways to log in. It gets to the Neverwinter load screen and freezes. It use to crash when loading but, that seems to have stopped. Now it doesn't load at all.

    What worked for me after a whole bunch of frustration was to uninstall/reinstall ARC.

    This morning it wasn't working for me either. Would patch and everything, but after the black "Cryptic" page with the loading bar, it wouldn't load at all.

    yup - having same problem. Locks up on Neverwinter loading screen. If someone finds a fix could you please list steps to fix it. Thanks in advance.

    I get an error message, so waiting doesn't work, it just crashes. Tried safe mode, verify files, etc ... still getting error messages.

    Any ETA from dev/fix/support team?

    Yep this sucks uninstalled everything including game and arc. Still didn't help. Hope they fix it soon.

    I'm having the same problem. It loads past the "CRYPTIC" logo onto the Neverwinter splash screen and then freezes. It shows "Material Files Reloaded" in the far lower-left of the screen.

    I can't even get the launcher to load... updated drivers- no change... rebooted and still no change... I can understand (sorta) the game not loading but why wouldn't the arc launcher not load at all?... sigh! :(

    Ive been trying to log in for 2 hours...it keeps verifying then either crashing my computer or getting a crash of the game and submit ticket

    I was having the same issue as you all up until about 10 minutes ago. Now it seems I can get into the game, but there is no sound. I actually tried launching the game client directly under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cryptic Studios\Neverwinter\Live and changed the options to safe mode. Once that seemed to launch, I went back and tried the normal launcher and it worked except for the no sound issue. Oh well.. win some lose some.

    I can't do anything. It keeps saying arc update had an error. I had already downloaded the patch and it was fine but now nothing.

    Well, launching it from my GeForce Experience is now patching it apparently...desktop icon just kept kicking me.

    The load of the game stops at credits screen.

    Well, my first and quite possibly my last post on these forums. Considering the increasing difficulty of keeping one of each class "up-to-date" I have been pondering leaving this game. I guess Cryptic decided for me as Im experiencing this "directx" error and crash issue myself. Cant get in and cant play. Perhaps me quitting this game is a good thing... Good luck!
