Just going to shed light on HRs, seeing as some people think theyre so great.

HOW IS IT THAT RANGED CLASSES IN GAMES HAVE STUNS/CONTROLS/TELEPORT MOVES?
Ranged classes in just about every game(haven't played them all) weaker armor than every other class. This game is no different. That wizard or ranger WILL NOT be able to face tank a fighter decked out to melee wreck you. So they supplement that weakness with the ability to keep their targets at range.

WHY IS IT THAT HUNTER RANGERS ARE THE ONLY CLASS WITH THE ABILITY TO SWITCH BETWEEN MELEE AND RANGED?
Because, and others also believed, that the HR was supposed to be an experienced player class. Meant to be able to switch playstyles on the fly, the HR requires a bit of finesse, and capability to wield to its full potential. Yes, they have six encounters if used for maximum potential, but their ranged/melee mixing(if that's how the ranger chooses to play) is hard to decide. In pvp and/or pve, the choices of their abilities is what makes the class, and lets face it: some of their abilities are useless in one or the other, but its opposite version might be great for what you want.

WHY IS IT THAT RANGERS CAN DO A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING?
Once again, meant to imply their usefulness, versatility, and just the full capability of a class that can offer so much, without replacing whats already there.

1)They can stealth, but not as great as others

2)They can cc, but by no means like a CW

3)They can melee, but in the end cant facetank like a GF or GWF

4)They can support, but nothing like a DC can

WHY CAN RANGERS DO SO MUCH?
They need to stand out from the crowd, not to just be thrown into obscurity, like other classes seem to be at times. Not the necessity for a dungeon like other classes, but at least something that can say "Hey, I have my own way of looking great in a dungeon".

In the end, people will hate a class for its flaws, and its greatness, whether in pve or pvp. You don't like the Hunter Ranger? fine. But to call a class OP in a game with at least some class balance, is tantamount to not realizing that for every way to get killed by a ranger, theres also ways to defeat them.

What can an archery HR do when the "tanks" of the game march up to his face? Nothing much, if anything at all.

What can a combat hybrid sport in pvp or pve? They sacrifice range(their greatest tool) for the ability to take more damage and dish out more melee damage, but theyre definitely not the best at it.

What can a melee do? Theyre great close quarters blitzers, but in the end, not capable of what other melee classes are capable of. Fox's Shift was a great counterpart to Lashing Blade... but they weakened Lashing Blade, and theyre now weakening Fox's Shift. Plus, melee Hunter Rangers are next to worthless in pve: many people would prefer a ranged dps class with agro problems, than a melee one that constantly goes down. Melee rangers last shorter in pve, due to the fact that they have nothing to counteract epic mob damage(unstoppable, stealth, shields). They can have some mitigation, but doesn't last long amongst a group of mobs constantly attacking them.
I hear "learn to play" all the time, but it seems to me that it should be defined as "my class is balanced, except when others beat it, then THAT class is OP"...

The thing is, this thread was originally started to whine about HR dodges

Nope. Read the OP again. And the title. The thread was started by a GWF complaining about the huge ability good PvP TRs have to evade damage.

Then it derailed cause TRs started crying about how weak their class is, then some other started crying about his own class, and some Others joined the crying of the OP about TRs, and then the 2 sides started BlTchin' about the matter.

I already explained it in full detailes. GWFs, HRs and TRs are currently the strongest PvP classes, if used at full potential. Not one of these classes have to complain about a single thing, and a player who uses one of these 3 classes and keep complaining about his class being underpowered need to just learn to play it better.

GWFs have the defense, survivability, CC, gap closing capability and damage to fight TRs and HRs, just need a good build and lots of personal skills in keeping up with the evading capabilities of the enemies.

TRs have a powerful combo of tools to evade damage, hide, dodge, recover, mitigate damage through deflect and deal damage. They have currently, along with HRs, the best set of tools to avoid damage and troll multiple opponents. Again: if who uses it is skilled.

    Same goes for HRs.

What people fail to understand is that personal skills play a big role in NW high-end PvP.

The ability to use ITC, dodge rolls and stealth to kite and avoid damage, leaving only small Windows for the enemy to attack you, is pure ability to time perfectly the transition from one immunity to the other and then out-think the enemy to avoid being spotted when in stealth.

The ability of a GWF to track down a stealthed TR, out-think him and time his prones to exploit the few openings the enemy has, is pure personal skill.

The difference between an unskilled TR and a skilled TR is huge. Same is the difference between a skilled GWF and a newbie GWF.

If that enemy seemed to avoid your damage too much, or glue to your butt too much, then try harder and tune your skills in playing your class.

TRs, GWFs and HRs have nothing to whine about their class in PvP. Seriously. These 3 classes are balanced, and We have all the tools we need. Just learn to use them.

So just stop writing how poor TRs, or GWFs, or HRs have nothing to face the other classes. You have the tools. Learn to use them (to the GWF who opened the thread and to all TRs and HRs who tried to depict their own class as helpless and inferior to the other two).

Thanks for reminding me. The issue did get me a bit muttled. Thanks :) Admittedly, im in several other threads with basically the same whines/complaints, so I tend to get it mixed.

This is basically all that needed to be said. I believe too that these 3 classes are the best at PVP. I never thought a single one of them need "nerfing" or "buffing". For balance, why do people makes these complaints, instead of debating what can be done to the other classes to bring them in line with these?

Dude I'm literally on my knees begging you to create a Trickster Rogue and see how well of you do. The reason the devs aren't looking in to shocking execution is because it's a finisher. I mean it literally says "Does damage based on how low your enemies health is"

and why suppose to TR Have Finisher in daily and other factions get not finisher ? isn't that something make this leaderbroad way unfair to every faction by this way ? lmao.
Plus Who said it was finisher or something like that ? Because it make damage depend on missing HP ? Will as for GWF Indomitable Battle Strike can be changed into same thing by depend on HP (which suppose to kill the enemy for sure depend on his Hp Logic you use ) Which not happen and just kill him normal ?

Guardian Fighters get a similar ability "Anvil of Doom"

Right now you can only queue for a PvP mode called "domination". 2 maps to play in, each map with 3 points to control: 1 near your base, 1 in the center of the map, 1 near the enemy base. Works like any other domination match in any other game: take control of the points, the more points you control the faster your team score goes up. The first team reaching 1000 score points, wins.

In module 3, which you can already test on the preview shard, there will be a new setting, Icewind Dale, and there you'll be able to enter specific zones. Entering these zones, you'll be flagged. Once you are flagged, other flagged players from the enemy faction can attack you. Wherever you go in the map. Basically, it's a huge, open PvE environment, where you can decide to allow fights against other players, just by entering the flagging zone once.

    Funny.

You're one to complain aren't you? Do TRs have unstoppable? No. Do TRs stand a high chance at beating someone easily on 1 vs 1? No. GWFs usually win 1 vs 1 any class so the fact that a TR can finish you at full health with SE is just sad you need to rework your build. They don't need a nerf you just need to become a better player and look up tutorials on your build. You wanna nerf TRs so that you can easily dominate PVP with your GWF is how it seems. The class is only as good as the the one behind the computer screen

Btw every class has a finisher it may not be there daily but everyone has one. Taking away this daily and reducing it (like it already has been) would be taking away your unstoppable and making it last 1 second

First GWF unstoppable = Tr Hide (Except it cannot be spam) , Second TR can't win 1vs1 ?????!!!! Is that another joke Only classes that can beat spam hide TR 1vs1 is CW or HR and who should i rework my build when SE Depend on missing hp and ignore defense? Beside funny boy you all keep talking about sential build GWF And Destroyer GWF Right now can't beat that sential build in 1vs1 also so shhh
And Did i ask for nerf ? I ask for something I can deal with not almost hide ,dodge ,immune Class and SE 1 hit to death and 1 point death for you

I didn't say to remove it or nerf it ? i say to remove death point that been on your head for been killed by it when Soulforge active.
plus unstoppable You keep talking about can be gained by taking damage or dealing damage (If Destroyer )
While Your weak Tr You keep talking about Got Dodge + ITC (immune with dodge after hide ) + Hide + At-wills(Damage + immune ) see who got something wrong ? You tell me your class is squishy , alright But not suppose to have all of that spam able and can't give chance to do anything

This thread should be closed. So much arguing and flaming here and there. Compare with cleric please, what you want again from the devs? Anyone can kill a cleric with equal gs!! And you all crying your class isn't the most OP in pvp atm??!! Well, buff all classes, nerf the cleric, i can accept any nerf on my cleric including even heavier healing depression on us, so why crying abt gwf, tr and hr OPness?? You can play, or leave pvp, thats what i want to say.

Wow, i like posts like this. So, let me get this straight? Your entry into this forum, and your first order of business is to DO WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE HAS DONE(complain about their class, or whine about others'), while giving the holier than thou attitude?

I'd feel sorry for you, healing depression and all, but with an attitude like that... Nice.

How about you take your own advice: you can cry about DCs getting screwed in pvp, but aren't you the pot calling other pots black here? You can play, or leave pvp, and that's all I got to say about YOU.

I mean, bravo... Definite hypocrite of the year award in my book.
I hear "learn to play" all the time, but it seems to me that it should be defined as "my class is balanced, except when others beat it, then THAT class is OP"...

Hey, he's a cleric. Comes with the job xD

Like I said, I know DCs got screwed more than everyone with the class pvp changes(my dc's pve, but I have a couple of pvp dc friends, so I sympathize), but you can't whine about the complaints posted in here already, then whine about your own class hypocritically, without a retort.

Theres at least a few threads I've seen with healing depression complaints, he should've posted there before barking up the wrong tree. Also noticed he only has a dc, come back when you've played the other classes.

And before he gets too uppity, his class does have their advantages too(not saying they shouldn't be buffed, I consider DCs and GFs the 2 weakest pvp classes(although DCs are at least more popular in pve). But I've played quite a few clerics in other games, and I consider DCs here to be one of the toughest classes to take out(have you ever faced a DC team before they stopped allowing stacked astral shields? I have, and it sucked).

This shows how much you dont understand the stealth mechanics.

So, Perma-stealth TRs are beatable.. what do you want then ? that the GWF will be at the top of the food chain and he will be able to beat everyone and none will beat him ?

Why in dota a support can't beat a late game carry ? why in sc2 a siege tank can't kill a battleship ?!
Because they are not supposed too !
(And worst of all, Rock cannot beat paper in rock-papper-scissors !)

You can't handle the TR, help the HR,CW to kill him, if directly or by holding off the rest of the enemy team or teamwork is too big of a word ?

But the most sad part is that not only a skilled GWF can beat a perma TR, and without too much effort. But to win Domination PvP is to Cap points, and not go searching for 1vs1, and it seems you loose most of your games.

Again the same QQ ? why not all the games are the same and all the classes are exactly the same except their name ?
Perhaps Tetris should had only a single square, but then someone will ask to nerf it too ?
You want a finisher and invis, play TR, you want an unstoppable play GWF, can't be simpler !

"You laugh at me because i'm different, I laugh at you because you all the same"

[ And to be clear, i do think that there are balance issues, specially with GF,DC, but all of it was said (in other threads and even the perma invis issue was addressed by the devs), and this entire QQ galore haven't brought an useful suggestion, can't see why this thread isn't closed ]
