they did same thing with the companions promo last time. they said they would look at it really fast and then months and seasons went by without them doing anything about it. some people learned their lesson then some people didn't. it is like they are stuck on a loop doing those "errors" as they call them which everyone knows it is horse HAMSTER. have fun guys with the money thrown for rewards that will not be fixed for some months.

Ok... so with the corrected promotion (not gonna quibble about semantics here), I have a different complaint to register.
Under the original posted terms, it would actually make sense that you get each reward tier ONCE, for spending a maximum of $200, as each tier would automatically unlock the ones below it. But it doesn't work this way.
Under the corrected terms, with each item requiring redemption of points (1 point/Zen added to your account), you're failing to provide rewards to any player who does spend more money. If someone racks up over 38000 points, there is nothing to be done with the surplus, which you also cannot carry forward... and not carrying forward is only ok if you can spend the entire balance.
The actual redemption page says nothing whatsoever about only being able to claim each item once, allows you to spend points on the same items multiple times, and shows this in your charge history with no indication items will not be delivered. It only says "Spend Reward Points (RP) to claim any unlocked rewards." (Italics mine.) Since the points expire, you are prompted to either spend them or lose them. This is also unfair.
The news post does indicate only once per tier, but this was included at the time the writers of the post did not themselves understand the terms of the offer and is therefore unclear and uncertain that the restriction is still valid even though the original posted terms were not. As I said, with it being a legitimately tiered offer, it made sense. With a point-buy system, it makes no sense at all.
Quite simply, if someone earned any number of points and redeemed them towards whatever rewards, this should also be honored. It's really strange that you'd only provide incentive up to a certain spending threshold and not beyond that. Or let someone get 5 warlocks instead of an owlbear if that's what they really want, for that matter.

Not to forget the error, when one of those reward companions was free to claim for everyone for a short while. Now imagine just for a moment, that would happen with the Ice Panther this time...
Resolution on the companion promo took alot of hounding on the players part. I hope your journey is better and faster than ours was. keep your post alive because they are going to try and bury it. Keep pestering them because they will ignore you.
This has the makings for a huge mess. The dollar amounts for the rewards were likely calculated based on each tier unlocking the ones before it. IE the Warlock is priced with the idea that it includes the title, etc.
Now that the promo was retroactively changed, I really wonder how huge this misunderstanding was.
- Should people be restricted to just 1 of each item (would make no sense at all)? - Was the panther supposed to be 200 (seems steep for a single mount without getting the other tiers)? - How many items are priced wrong? - Are the points being given the correct amount? - If people spend their points incorrectly and lose out, how are they going to be compensated?
With the previous screw up, it was largely AD to Zen folks, so little real money was involved. Now we are talking 100% real money....this could get VERY interesting.
This is just really poor for all involved. If this is resolved by 2017 I'll be shocked.
Bonus: Not only do you not get what was promised when you bought the pack, and not only do you not get the right number of points, but you *can* buy tiers more than once. eg, you can spend points on the Warlock more than once, 2000 points at a time.
And you get one Warlock. Even if you spend 4000 or 6000 or 8000 points on it, because it TELLS YOU you can reclaim it more than once, and it LETS YOU reclaim it more than once. And it really does eat the points, it's not like it lets you reclaim it more than once, realises a problem, and refunds your points because you can't get more than one.
Well done, overall. This entire promotion deserves a golfclap.

So, just making certain I understand this, because I'm at a loss as to what to do myself - you can click on the warlock more than once and apparently "buy" it several times with points, but only actually able to claim it once in-game? Is that right?

That's correct: the website lets you spend points on a reward level more than once, but you only get one of each reward. So don't do that.
Thank you @lowjohn for the heads up on the point spending screw up.
@strumslinger@nitocris83 Do you recommend that those of us who have been totally screwed over by this debacle file a ticket with support? I feel a long hard-fought battle coming on, which will probably go beyond the time given to redeem the points that we are unable to keep, so I'm wondering if filing a ticket will at least flag me as one of the people who should be given what was advertised.
Thank God they're quick on the ball, it's always good to clear things up quickly for the people that choose to give them actual money, you know paying players.
Actually I did this. And I now have two warlocks waiting at the rewards counter in game. I have taken one out but not the other as I am not sure about which other toon to give it to.

Oh thank gods... No offense to the posters, but I was trying to find the stats on the reward creatures to see if I should buy them. You saved me!!!
And yes, they owe you every creature up to and below the amount you paid. (Law school and all.)
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

I had enough points left over for two warlocks so I claimed it twice just to see what happened (what else was I going to buy, the title twice? the title *once*? No.)
I only got one warlock.
So, uh, maybe it's inconsistent between people? Or maybe how I did it makes a difference: I claimed the warlock in-game, then went back to the website and claimed the second one.
Update! Haven't forgotten about this, been catching up from the long weekend. I have a live-ops meeting this afternoon so I'll bring this up for clarification.

Hoping to hear that the description change was unintended, and the original wording will be honored. All eyes on your dueling skills right now - or wizardry skills, since you're a CW.

I suspect that people thinking they are getting multiple warlocks might have forgotten they had them from prior promotions.
This is the only promotion I have done. I suspect it was I spent the points on two warlocks at the same time before going in game and checking at the counter.
i have too spend for 2 White olbear and only got onee.... great....
May be try contacting the support, so that they refund you the lost points, and you can get something else instead?
I do believe in killing the messenger...
Want to know why?
Because it sends a message!

Between 2:45pm EST and 4pm EST on Friday. It still promised all rewards when I made my post at 2:45, someone pointed out the change at 4. So the change was made in that hour and a bit.
Since the sale went live at 10:30am EST, that means it was live with the inaccurate promise for between 4 and 5.5 hours.

Hm, looks like steam purchase being one way to be eligible for a "reward" was "a miscommunication" too.
Hm, looks like steam purchase being one way to be eligible for a "reward" was "a miscommunication" too. i've come to enjoy getting CAPYBARA in the ADORABLE RODENT, LIKE A MOUSE WITH A LITTLE WIGGLY NOSE by these guys anyway, so i guess it's all good.
Do you not have any points when you check the redemption page?
