Very upset by how this was done. It was clear I'd been credited the wrong number of points. Not sure if too many or too few. Asked the question, didn't get the final reply till 3 hours after the ridiculously short deadline, and got nothing (and support won't restore equity).

The brown nosing on the part of some people is kind of sickening.

When someone challenges the people who are using HAMSTER arguments, it isn't brown nosing. It's not letting lazy debaters get away with spouting inanities. To brown nose, those people would have to be getting something from the... Mods? Devs? Your baseless accusation isn't clear on that point. But I assure you, the only things *I* get from the Mods are PMs asking me to not be so 'harsh' on the uninspired hacks I respond to, and moved posts. Also, the occasional cookie, but mostly moved posts.

I purchased $50 during the Black Friday event being informed that the mount and the items below (warlock and title) would be added. I also submitted a ticket when I found out they did not give me enough points for all three items. I still do not have the mount. I submitted tickets and after getting the same responses as some of the others here, was told I did not qualify. Needless to say, I won't be buying anything from them again.
Its a great game but these type of problems need to be resolved!

I say that if you give me a thousand bucks till the weekend, I will give you my Porsche. You give me the money then I give you my purse. All is fine because it was auto-correct's fault. There is no legal base for anything and you can't prove there was ill intent. And I just won't give you your money back, specially because some random guy said that nothing can be done.

I've seen people here who didn't make a good point, but most have a point. I've had two people message me with their stories and if one of them is accurate it is quite revolting since he managed to buy the things at the hour or the hour after the change. Mine was around 4 hours after the unannounced change.

If you don't see how unreasonable that is and how that might be bad for them in the end, I don't know what else to say to you and I won't make the effort to figure it out. Still, I wonder why you take your time to come here when you clearly have nothing to gain from anyone. Unless you are getting a laugh out of others' misfortune.

Well, from one 'random guy' to another....

Two people? Why didn't you say so?!?!

Seriously though, if someone has a legitimate issue, they can pursue it with support. If support doesn't respond to their liking, they can always choose to not do business with PWE. I don't fault anyone for that. Its the folks who come here, and spew their rants about how they'll bring this to the United Nations!!! if they don't get results, and FAST!!! that earn my ire. Also, people who turn legitimate debate sour with ad hominem attacks, like 'brown noser' and other 'why arent u RAGING?!!?!1!!' comments.

Here is one thing to think about: Did the person who bought things the hour after the change show you screen shots? Not that those would be proof positive, but if they just *told* you... well, some people will try to get what they can through any means they can, including looking for sympathy with anecdotal evindence. I'm NOT saying they are lying. I'm saying you can't take them at face value and use it as proof.

Your last paragraph is a good example of why I post... you basically say "It's unreasonable, I'm right, and if you don't see it my way, you're wrong, and I end this conversation." Then, you DON'T end the conversation, but try to take a veiled swipe at my character with... you guessed it! ad homimen attacks! (which is how you STARTED the post, fellow 'random guy').

If I thought someone here had a legitimate beef, I would have given them one of the BONUS items I got, if I thought they would have stopped the ranting. But then someone would have heard about it, and said "Where's MINE!?!>" I also wouldn't doubt that there are a slew of 15 year olds on these forums who clearly missed the deadline, but are still trying to whip up sentiment to see if they can 'get a freebie'. These are the same people who STILL whine that "Caturday people got rewarded, WHERE'S MINE?!?!?!"

Your serve, unless you *really* aren't putting any effort into this, in which case, good day, sir.

    I said 'GOOD DAY!!"

One of the guys was basically just talking to me through here to see how I proceeded to get a response from support, which he wasn't getting for some reason. The other one is a friend, and I have no reason to doubt his timing though I'm sure he can arrange the screen shots he sent to support. Do you think it's ok to shaft people that bought it on the hour? Or even 4 hours after or so like I did? That is a shady procedure which was bound to take people by surprise in a bad way no matter the legality of the issue.
About brown-nosing, I didn't know that was such a name calling. Call it what you will. But you do remind me of someone I had a little short story about and maybe you could tell me what that behavior is so I wouldn't call it by the wrong name, but that would be too much derailing. If that offended you then I'm sorry, I won't call it that again(maybe you noticed I'm not a native speaker). But the fact that you seemed to be defending the behavior adopted by cryptic, which was basically going back on their word and not putting any effort to prevent people from making an honest mistake for valuing their word, was really unpleasant to read.
Do you feel that they did no harm? That is totally acceptable behavior with no chance of upsetting players who feel like fools in the end? Doesn't matter if it is legal or not, there's plenty of legal and sickening things one can do.

I contacted support and got plenty of responses from them. In the end it summed up to them understanding why the upset but basically stating that their hands are tied and that I should seek the forum in the hopes of getting help from the devs. But going to the forums and hoping for more than a random guy, that is a lot to ask. :)

And yes, I think they are wrong in what they did and I'm sad that you think they did no harm. Can I convince you otherwise? Probably not, and even if I did, there is nothing to gain from that. Even if a dev showed up and agreed with me I think you wouldn't change your mind, so we are just randomly chatting here, with no purpose whatsoever. Do I have a valid point to be upset about? I think so. Should I care if you think my upset is unfounded? I shouldn't but I do. Would I be here if I bought it on the the day after or the last day? Probably not because I would probably have noticed the change from talking to guildies over the weekend. And even if I bought it 4 hours earlier, I would still think that people who bought it a little later would be right in complaining and would still help my friends word their dissatisfaction . Should you care about all the whining on the forums? Only if you are insane, on the road to insanity, or a dev in disguise.

P.S.: Again, sorry about the brown-nose aggravation, didn't know that was that bad.

Posting here as a last resort in regards to the Novermber 2016 charge event. I spent $50 and didn't get any rewards. I checked multiple times the day of the purchase (11-27, sale ended 11-29) and had nothing I could redeem. The first ticket i submitted they just marked as "resolved". When I re-opened an new ticket they said:

"Upon checking our logs, I can confirm that the Charge Points that you should use to purchase the Tier Rewards is already credited to your account. However, as much as I'd like to assist you with this request, I regret to inform you that the event is already over and that there is no way for us to provide the rewards on our end and we apologize for the inconvenience."

Is there any chance there is somewhere else, other than the ARC account, Zen market, or rewards merchant in protector's enclave, that these were supposed to be redeemed at? I've never had this problem with past purchases for similar events and don't understand why they would see something on their logs, but absolutely nothing on the screens I see. I don't want to loose out again, and frankly, I don't really want to spend any more money on this game if this will be an ongoing and "un-resolvable" issue.

Redemption was through the Arc site. The NW PC home page had a direct link for it at the time, but does not now.

    This is the page:
    http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/rewards

Currently, there is no valid promotion to point at.

Were you viewing that page and not seeing points? Were you not logged in?

I did not get enough points returned to get the white owlbear. I chose the ice panther the first time. Rookie error.
