haven't played in weeks. Game has turned into refine and grind online, like a facebook game to me.
Don't plan on coming back unless there are big changes on the horizon, and so far I haven't seen anything.
I don't know about you, but I got my artifact weapon main hand in mod 3. Before that I was using the same weapon from beta to mod 3. When mod 6 hit I simply waited for x2 RP and dropped my old artifact weapon into my new one, keeping 80% of the RP. So basically I'm still using 80% of the RP I invested in my stuff since mod 3. When mod 7 happens, I will simply do so again. If preview is to be trusted, then I still get to keep a significant portion of the time/money I invested into my gear. As a player in legendaries I actually lose large chunk of what I invested compared to people in blues/purples, but losing 20% is definitely a lot better than losing it all.
But what about new players to the game that have to get all that RP from scratch we had the luxury of 9k per stack of peridot's but new players don't have the easy initial RP. you lost 20% of you cheep RP but a new player will have to earn that whole 100% at 6 times the cost that you had to.

Are you saying they also don't get advantages, ones that we didn't have? Like 10k rank 5 enchants? The strongest artifacts in the game being sold for a paltry 200k+ despite being more powerful active ability-wise than some legendary version artifacts? That's like what, 5 days worth of 2 hour per day gaming for a player with a level 70 main and two alts, running KR/eLoL with a guild or a group like legit? And that's only the rough AD gain. Add another ~30k and you have enough RP to get it to purple.
How does that measure up to the 2M price of our old end-game arties? Did it also take you just 30 seconds tops and ~30k AD to get your artifact to purple? How about your enchants? How long were you stuck in rank 7's/8's? How long were you stuck in rank 4's/5's before that? Did you know that these days a newbie can run a single skirmish during Skirmish Hour and make enough to get 3 rank 5 azures for ~20% extra XP gain at level 35+? Did you know that players with absolutely zero to start with can easily buy loyal companion gear at ~500 AD to equip on starter companions, allowing them to breeze through pretty much all pre-60 content?
Oh, and how's your clicking finger? How much actual, physical effort did it take you to refine enchants/artifacts/artifact gear? How long did it take you to get your BI weapon/old artie weapon and artie offhand? How long did it take you to farm MC/DR/level weaponsmithing/artificing to get your older mainhand/offhand? Was it longer than the time it took to get a character from 60 to 70? Because in my case, it certainly did, and I'm pretty sure I was progressing at max rate (without spending AD/zen).
New players actually lose a lot less RP than players using legendaries when they use their old artie gear to refine their new ones during x2 RP. Assuming the artifact gear leveling table doesn't change, old players lose around ~900k RP. New players smart enough to keep their artifact gear at newly purple (so they can wait for x2 RP before leveling it) lose ~100k. Old players lose 9x as much RP.
Finally, the reason RP prices haven't dropped is simply because the market isn't saturated with them yet. The reason the market isn't saturated with them yet is because, among other things, more people need to get their leadership alts to 24. When that happens, and more people get their artifacts to legendary, you can expect a significant drop in RP prices.
If you're a player in all legendaries then you know that artifact gear RP is extremely inefficient at leveling anything else (enchants, artifacts). Unless you have a thing about main-ing something like 7 characters at once, which is highly unlikely unless you just have a LOT of time in your hands, then you'll run out of practical uses for that RP eventually (outside of selling them).
You're nuts if you think new players don't have advantages. The problem is simply that new players need guidance, since to make AD in this game you need a plan.
It also doesn't help that the number of whiners in this game can give even MOBA communities like DotA a run for their money, and they are killing the morale of newbies/giving them all the wrong impressions.

You there. New to the game? Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you think getting to end-game is impossible for a casual player like yourself, or maybe you just need to be around a community that helps each other stay sane and competitive with the latest news, current trends, random chitchat and most of all LEGIT (that is, we try to keep things fair) gameplay. If you don't mind being around quirky people and the rare occasional drama (one of our prominent TR members is apparently a mafia godfather) join nw_legit_community at http://www.nwlegitcommunity.shivtr.com/forum_threads/2330542.

GW2 is nice, but not going to touch SF, heard a lot about how they handle critique on their forums, and i'm not interested into that kind of "customer service".
I also had some really bad lag and several disconnects last night here in NWO, while i was just trying to go through my characters on my invoking round.
Even checked several times, if there was something else running in the background, but no. Nothing.
I'm not sure what they did to "improve", but it's not getting any better, it's getting worse.
fees, fees, and more fees. Am I playing or renting a car?
leadership nerfed
invocation changed (and that's when it works at all)
bugs galore (with open and ignored tickets pending (and locked) Never-Fixed),
more nerfs for dragon hoard enchants.
Life Steal "reworked" (60 bucks of coalescents down the drain).
Making a class godly then crappy from mod to mod. i.e SW...remember them? Mine's a leadership mule like your's.
Not even gonna go into the PVP mess.
Basically charging more for *everything* with fewer ways to pay for them.
The RP mega-grind makes playing alts too time consuming unless you're 30s still living w/ your folks or you got PayPayl auto hot-keyed.
The poll says it all, no matter how vocal the last of the loyal fan bois try to keep the flock in line. It's in the open now.
If so many people like the new difficulty, why does it take 45 minutes to queue for that content, and find the same 2 people you saw last time?...and wipe again.
My g/f still plays, so I play w/ her (to help to stay alive), but I'm not spending another RL cent on this game.
I wish NWO the best, but the direction its taking is too frustrating and expensive to keep up with.
You might be right, and it might be time to move on. If I wasn't (involuntarily) made the leader of our small guild I might have left by now, but I still feel some responsibility toward our members. I have put some serious thought into leaving the game after reading your post, though.

Playing and mostly fun, but could be better
I am having fun... but I do wish the Epic DDs were workable for me

I don't remember what I chose when this poll came out. It is better and better more me. I am a patient person and don't mind to progress slowly. At this stage, I have more fun than the end of mod 5. No, I probably would not say that when mod 6 was fresh.
EDIT: now I know what I chose because the system posted that with this post.

I'm sick of undodgeable arrows that one-shot for 90k.
I'm sick of undodgeable acid spit from spiderlings that one-shot for 90k.
I'm sick of undodgeable ranged attacks from hexers and deathlock wights that one-shot for 90k.
I'm sick of undodgeable, "no-red-zone" 50-foot jumps from barbarians that one-shot for 90k.
I'm sick of undodgeable barbarian spears that take over 50k HP off in a single hit.
I'm sick of burning up 30 to 50 health kits in a dungeon or skirmish run.
I'm sick of pressing "5" to use my health stone and having it *not* heal while it goes on 18-second cooldown.
I'm sick of pressing a movement key four or five times in rapid succession and still not being able to dodge with full stamina.
I'm sick of getting one-shotted by cutthroats for 90k with a single swing -- from ten feet away.
I'm sick of having to wait 18 seconds to drink another potion while 5 enemies in a solo quest kill me.
I'm sick of being unerringly chased by enemies that are supposed to be dazed.
I'm sick of mod 6.

I took a break after Mod 5 because of the RP grind monotony, and came back to find it much much worse-
