NEW CONTENT Nothing turns off MMO game players more consistently than a lack of regularly introduced new content to keep the adventure fresh. The lack of it ultimately drove me away.... -- Miss Mayhem (aka Sanction aka W.A.R.H.E.A.D. aka Mynx aka Blackstone)
I find this so ironic. I warned, way back when it was first announced PWE was buying Cryptic, that this is exactly what they do. They buy up studios for game design aspects that they want to incorporate in their games, or for personnel, and then leave whatever games that studio produced to die of neglect, simply milking it…
Essentially where I was going with my earlier comment, but said with your usual flair for eloquence and attention to detail. Thanks, CC :) - Miss Mayhem (aka Sanction, aka WARHEAD, aka Blackstone, aka Mynx, aka Kinslayer)
---And this is why you people continually see only costume updates rather than anything more substantial than that. You already have more character customization options than the next 6 games combined. Let it rest and give cry to the more demanding needs of the game: persistant, meaningful CONTENT. Open new areas, new…
Ah, Cryptic, you never fail to let me down....I left the game due to lack of content, and on a whim, decided to check back in and see what has happened in the months I have been gone... Nothing of substance. As usual. Actually that's not really fair. You guys did manage to break the game even more than it was before I…
Well, pathing is essentially identical except I don't go through Steam, its set up through Arc. Program Files (x86)\Perfect World Entertainment\Champions Online_en\Champions Online\Live\logs\GameClient. I've done a full search of all files on my computer, this log file isn't being generated anywhere. ugh. Miss Mayhem aka…
Hi there.... I installed ACT and followed the instructions to set it up...everything was going swimmingly right up until I had to open the combat log. Only...there was no combat log. I had set /combatlog to 1 in game, system message shows combatlog 1, and went to where it should be stored. No joy. Even got in a few fights…
That's definitely a totally brilliant capture of Jadora, in all her glory. ...'scuse me, I'm just going to be over here in this corner, gnawing on my nails in envy...
Nor should you let it go. When a company you hire to provide a service fails to deliver upon expectation provided by them, then they should be held accountable. This is basic business. Now of course, the best way to show a business the consequences of failing to follow through on an expectation is for you to take your…
Astonishing.... really. No, I don't crunch numbers. No, I am not very good at builds. It took me forever to find something that worked well. So, YES, I have to go off what I am seeing on the character sheet and in the numbers I see when fighting. and yes, despite what you people claim SHOULD be reality, my dps did drop.…
There doesn't need to be a lot of guessing... Two years ago, there was an average of 10-15 servers up on average, more during high profile events. Last year there was between 7-10 servers up on average. This year, you're fortunate if there are 5 up. During Bloodmoon there's FOUR servers. I leave the rest to your deductive…
This is EXACTLY why I go to CC's. Win/lose, not so important as that random /tell from someone I don't know (even if I do know) that tells me my look is awesome. THAT makes my night! After I found out the existence of CC's almost 3 years ago, I attended for SIX months before I ever won one. I watched and noted and learned.…
The entire problem with the idea is that Cryptic is owned by PEW. PEW is a soul-sucking organization that cares about its profit line above all else. They barely support their cash-cow games as it is. They care nothing for gamers. So, ultimately, it would be a tragedy for them to make....toast.... much less another game.
Honestly I've been playing this 3 years + and submitted many tickets in that time...only once have I ever received a response and even then it was canned and wholly unrelated to the problem I was experiencing. There isn't any customer service at Cryptic.
I'd like to know if I am going to get back all the days toward my vet reward I lost....not to mention stipend. Seen one stipend allotment in two months.
Yes, the gerbils running the servers revolted in the face of having to run with buggy wheels and rations that grew stale two years ago.... Oh wait, no that's just our content.
 I didn't intend my departure to create such a fuss! For those that seem to be concerned about it, let me elaborate. I am not leaving due to whether or not the game is fun. As I stated previously, I have stuck with the game over 2 years through all the numerous little bugs and breaks, because while annoying, the…
I would have to agree. Shinies distract in the short term, but after a constant diet of shinies, people tend to lose interest. Solid, enduring, in-depth content is what is desperately needed to fend off the rush of new MMO's that contend for your subscriber's attentions. Now, if you have good and valid reasons for no solid…
