Hello fellow Champions! We're excited to announce an upcoming change to the way Veteran Rewards work: They'll be unlocking immediately for Lifetime Subscribers.

    I'm feeling conflicted about that. Don't take me wrong, I'm happy, but a little piece of me is sad because I was about to actually get my 900 days rewards and it almost feels like cheating. Almost.

    Official reason for Subscriber Rewards to stop at 1000 days was....
    oh wait, there was none....
    Maybe they thinked that the game wouldn't last past 1000 days...

    Yay, Now the only obstacle for me to get the my precious Avian Warrior Pack is my Bank account and the Payment Method... ^_____^

    Because it's a nice round number that gives those who are subscribing an end goal without having to sit there and watch the goal never get any closer because of how the system works?

    ...Also big round fun number 1000 is probably the main reason. Just think of what they would have to do for 2000 days. That's twice as important!

    Probably due to some game breaking bug that conflicts with code buried deep in CO's alpha stage. :biggrin:

    as a 1500+ day guy myself, I do wish we could get something new already, but I am happy people will not have to wait as long as we did to get all of the rewards.

    Cryptic realized that just granting LTS rewards up front is good for those money spikes since most of their revenue (99%) is from gambling in lockboxes. And maybe vehicles and costume sets in the store.

    That's because the difference between the two was minute. Now they sell so many keys on Champions they can almost give away freeform forever. Almost.

    Still, just waiting for CO to make enough money to put it back into full time production of new content.

    I doubt it, it's more likely that Neverwinter is bringing in all the money and CO is being carried & dragged along.

    Is Neverwinter still going that strong? I heard that after the initial 'craze', the player base has dropped considerably.

    ...you know, which reminds me. Anyone know of plans for more Powers to use Rupture? I mean, Single Blade isn't the only class to utilize bleeds, and if Bestial Supernatural gets a Rupture... that's be pretty OP. Even more so that it is now.

    Lifetimer from right after beta. Have all the vet rewards already. I didn't see anything advertising new rewards :frown::confused:

    Great just passed 900 days and am a lifetime subscriber. A few more months and I'll have all the rewards anyway. Not so timely a change for me.

    I was planning on going LTS the first time I could scrape together 300 bucks that some creditor didn't have prior claim to. This is just icing.

    i just hit 1000 last week, why did you wait so long? still it should have been this way from the start. next time do it earlier so it means something.

    well, im a 1543 day 'er as well and i lifered from launch, but its still good news as an incentive for new players to get lts and get some cash pumped into the game.

    eh, we got it at 100 bucks less, we have the exclusive costume pieces(retro future and the other one i forget), we got the monthly stipend, we got all those costume packs for free when the game went free to play, and we had 4 years of free-form access all the time. Not sure I could/would bother playing this game as an AT.

    and if someone wants to pump 300 bucks into co's coffers, that can benefit me directly.

    How is it that someone making the big $300 risk is not worthy of the rewards? Do you really think they should wait forever?

    I think subscribing month to month if you know you will be subscribed forever more is foolish. Why pay more than $300 in sub fees if you know you will be here forever? Why expect to be compensated for this? No one asked you to pay monthly like this.

    And that is why i'm leaning towards lifetime. As after a year of gold it looks like it'll be cheaper in the long run. But that's just me.

    Something wrong with your count, that is about 13 years (4755/365 = 13.0274 & 3 or 4 leap days) ....

    The game just had its 4th anniversary....(365 * 4 = 1460)

    No way you rightfully have 4755 days, something is screwy ... :)

    Actually think about it.

    We made the risk back before we even knew the game would make it 3 months into release... We were basically the founders of the game.

    But that trust and investment of time is completely diluted now. First they stop the rewards at 1,000 days. Then they just give them away now to anyone that wants to be LTS.

    Dunno, I'm all for the game attracting new blood, but they need to find ways to do it that doesn't spit in the face of the folks that have truly supported the game for the last 4+ years...

    After all, we waited.. lots of vets are hitting that 1,000 day milestone now. ANd that's really something. Lifetime or not, that's a lot of dedicated folks. That waited and trusted in the game's longevity.

    Dunno.. I'll be honest, it just seems like lazy programming to me. They could have come up with some other set of rewards for LTS to attract them to it instead of just taking out the wait. But, as witnessed with the broad-stroke nerfing lately, addressing direct issues doesn't seem to be the chanted mantra of the new devs.

    I'm happy for all the folks that this will help... but, at the same time, I really think they need to take another look at the rewards to separate the folks that have been here a LONG time from those that just joined. ALl these folks saying they are about to hit 1,000 days should have something, no matter how trivial, that shows their dedication to the game over someone that just drops $300 into it. Seems obvious really.
