*reads up on the latest "updates" to the game I dropped like a hot potato over a year ago* *backs out of the thread and decides to stay away another year* good job devs /sarcasm
Bottom line is the OV system is trash. The devs should not spend any more time on it. They have more important things to work on. And there apparently aren't that many of them.
When I use to level new alts, Lemuria was actually an interesting place. Unlike a lot of folks I liked the 3D movement. Added a bit of thinking to questing through the zone. Granted though there are some stinkers there. Monster Island is just meh to me, but I can understand why a lot of folks like it. I rejoiced years back…
This build with Spinny's addition seems really solid. Been a while since I had to respec a Might toon. Came back today and was forced to do that right away with the free respec lol
"It's a vast deal, it affects practically every character that runs Compassion. It's also really clearly still in flux and not currently doing what Kaiserin said it's supposed to do, so It should be worked with on PTS until it's stable." Hopefully it's worked, clarified, and refined on PTS, which is what PTS is there for.
I don't agree with all of this, but the point about Geysers is important. Seeing as how if enough people fail that when it comes up, it can extend the time of the fight . . . yeah, being able to MOVE YOUR ARSE quickly is more important for that stage. :p
"Maybe they could have awarded one free FF unlock if a player had multiple level 40 FFs or 35-39 FFs with a sufficiently high number of hours played. On the gripping hand, the game has become alt-hostile in general, so I guess this is truth in advertising?" We made numerous arguments in the epicly long thread when their…
Curious, do folks actually use circles in things like Eido? I haven't been paying attention to the current meta for that. I can't imagine with how movement heavy something like that is, it would be okay/practical to use circles. I think maybe the post 40 fights I can see it working for would be the boss in LI, Kiga, and…
100% accurate, the first two posts. Think of Eido as the final boss of the game. You prepare for any final boss, in any game. This is no different. And these are the specific prep steps.
Which isn't shocking since most CO doesn't prioritize anything about builds. AKA you can faceroll your keyboard to get through most of the content in CO.
This is assuming they addressed it. (And depends on what we're referring to as under the hood). Also a lot of their changes/tinkering in 2018 broke OTHER things in horrible ways. (Some fixed quickly, some still lingering). Nothing I've seen tells me then really have been spending time addressing it, or at least doing so in…
This is exactly how quite a few buffs in City of Heroes worked. And folks did exactly as you mentioned when teaming. You actually described what happened in that game perfectly. LOL. It could work here.
Which is probably why they still haven't been released. But agreed with the Original Poster. Can we get a list of what needs to be tested and confirmed so that we can help?
I pretty much sat out the event. (Took Spinny's advice before he even posted it. :p ) I had no interest after some of the changes, and my interest in events in general have never been all that great. Costumes have also never been that big of a thing for me. /shrug. Glad everyone else had fun though.
And the parent company is okay with maintenance mode, since it literally costs nothing to maintain it. If that cost ever goes up . . . well it probably won't ever really, as I don't expect anything big coming. And that's fine for what this game is at this point. Most mmos don't last this long.
Yeah if that what what they were going for . . . no, they didn't hit the mark. It looks okay, but surely does not do Kirby's style justice as others have said.
