Love your costume! Where are the goggles from, though?? I must have them.
Those look suspiciously like the Speedster Goggles, which were the first monthly gold award, and can now only be acquired with the purchase of a lifetime subscription. (And if you're inclined to complain about that, remember that Cryptic's initial plan was that these costumes would never be available again, ever, and it took a great hue and cry to make them add any method of acquiring old monthly rewards...)

Also created a version that uses a Helmet ( Armor Superconductor ) using Until Recognition to make our hero seem space and/or underwater capable. This is the version I think will be preferred, but who knows.

Yeah, sadly you have to either be a Lifetimer or be subbed for 1000 days to get the Bird People costume parts. And even then, they don't open up for a given toon until you log in and start getting the accolades.

I started with bluhman's Geometryman, stripped it down, then built it back up to create, Nyrd.
When I first created it, I was trying to create a Nyrdish looking guy. An alter-ego for a hero called Super-Nyrd with a Pi symbol on his chest. I even made him paler.
Anyway, I went back in to work on it again and now when I try to use it, it tells me that I need to purchase the Samurai Robot costume set even though not one part is from that set. I even stripped him again so that every part is a simple one, but it still seems to ask for SR costume set..
If you put it in your screenshots folder and try to open it in the CC, can you please tell me if it says the same for you?
Edit - Seems to be working now absent the strange demand that I purchase a costume set that I'm not using. { shrug } I'll try and post the real costume soon.

Now. Here is a list of names I came across, or invented, that might just spur some of you guys to create an unusual hero.
The Spoiler
The Wall

Queen Bee <---- Does this exist already?
Bee Keeper

So it's just a bunch of silly names. Some might be heroes and others might be a nemesis to another name on the list. Just see if one or more spark a little creativity.
Queen Bee is a villain in DC Comics, so might be disallowed by the name filter. Also, the Wall may or may not be an issue - it used to be a popular nickname for Amanda Waller in DC, because she was rather plus-size (I understand the New 52 version of her conforms to comic-book norms, unfortunately).
I don't have time to make Paulie the Gorilla right now, sadly. I can, however, instantly envision both a costume and a backstory for Paulie. (Basically, a former enforcer for the New Purples, until he was hit by an Inventor's Experimental Burst Ray and permanently turned into a gorilla with the mind of a man. Embittered by the reactions of his former fellow gangsters, he turned to the heroes, where he found a surprisingly positive reaction.)

Paulie always was a big guy. When he started working for the New Purples as an enforcer, they called him "Paulie the Gorilla". Nobody knew how true that would become.
One day, some smart-alec super with an experimental ray gun hit him with a weird blast. Everybody knew that could turn you into something, but it always wore off after a while - except that this time, it didn't. Paulie really was a gorilla now, at least in body. And that was when he learned how good his "friends" were, as they turned away from him, calling him "freak" and worse.
And then he went wandering through RenCen, and saw Dr. Silverback in one of the buildings there. And it occurred to him - among the heroes, he'd fit right in. Heck, half of them made him look downright normal - at least gorillas come from Earth!

No, it's fine. I've have a character named Queen Bee for years now. I don't think you can trademark a name like Queen Bee (or Storm, Venom, Cyclops, etc..) because it's a real life term.
Ok, so I missed my day. The only excuse I have is that I forgot what day of the week it was. Working six days a week, everything just sort of blends together. Anyways, on with the show...
This week I continued down the list of powers and came to Archery. I've made enough modern and futuristic characters lately, so I decided to go the opposite direction and entered the realms of fantasy. Now, who are the best archers in fantasy? That's right, Elves.
This is Silvemira Starfall and her magical bow, Shooting Star.
Silvemira Starfall
Alright, that's it for now. Come back next week when I present to you... something, but I have no idea what it will be, yet. Until then.....

Maybe something a little Halloweenie?
Actually, I was think that everyone could look over the costumes they made and as a twist for the season, turn just one hero/costume into and evil opposite, like a zombie or werewolf or vampire or some other suitable change for the season.
Example - bobsy26 create Pilsner back in January but what if he became a zombie or a werewolf? What might he look like?
(Requires: Construction vest (open) unlock (chest wear), Halloween Creatures pack set (head), muscle tights gold reward (torso))
On halloween, spare a thought for the children of monsters, confused and annoyed that they have to dress up as regular people for the evening.
Oh, also while I'm here: reminder that Bloodmoon is your opportunity to get the mantle of Takofanes, one of the best-looking capes in the game. You can see it in-use here.
For Thursday 18th Dec: Qubit (pronounced Cue bit )
I created Qubit because I get compliments on my own robot hero - Shaz-bot. In addition to all of the purple, there's the Socrates head/helmet and one of those faux back lit chest pieces.
Every part is free, but is the Socrates part as drop. ,<--- thank you zamuelpwe for the note.

I think that I have a few more robots in me, but there's an odd one in my CC folder I do n't remember making. Either it's a borrowed one I renamed or I made it when I was so tired I forgot I made it. Which seems to happen a lot, to me these days.
Thanks to old, man Wither's Jack Russell terrier, Zack, doing his nightly duty in the near by cemetery for one full year, and the first snow of the year falling on Halloween, the Yellow Snowman was born to avenge the desecrated dead ( and possibly stop a few back robberies ).
So it snow and yellow liquid and those brown smudges? Let's just say, it is not mud.
-
Many possibilities here. Behemoth, Glacier, Mountain, Savage, Scourge/Cursed, Squall or even Tempest if your feeling creative. And yes, I know... It's another brawny-looking costume.
Greetings! (See what I did there? Yeah... me neither)
And now a word from our sponsor:

Ok, see you all next week, when it's Halloween theme time! Oooooooooo.... that, that's my ghost voice.... alright, leaving now.
(The Minotaur Requires: Jetpacks set (back), Tesla Armor set (chest wear), Bird people set veteran unlock (belt, shoulders), Retro Sci-Fi set (arm accessories, leg accessories), Psionic Dragon set (hips layer), Warlord foot unlock, Alien Gladiator Helmet 01 unlock)
(The Rat King Requires: Halloween Creatures pack (torso, legs), Ninja Warrior set (feet), Alien Gladiator Armor unlock, Steel shadow set (head wear), Holoforce set (collar, belt), Dryad set (hips layer), Bone armor set (shoulderpad, arm accessory, bracer), Armor Nephilim Blade unlockl (bracer)
Expensive, yes. Sorry. The Minotaur is intended as a companion to The Manticore, which I submitted a while back. The King of Rats was nearly called the Rat King before I remembered that rat kings are very real and very awful.
"With a thunderous roar, the mighty Minotaur landed in the midst of the enemy horde, throwing a huge cloud of dust up as it did so. We had heard stories, but this was the first time we saw one with our own eyes - a living tomb for a fallen Manticore warrior, their remains preserved within a colossal suit of armour, enough to allow them to fight on after death and honour the valour of their still-living brethren. Armed with mighty cannons and seemingly impervious to harm, just one Minotaur was enough to turn the tide of battle."
"Our party ventured into the sewers of Millennium City to search for the so-called King of Rats with optimism. It wouldn't be the first time we had been dispatched to capture a rogue manimal, and we could clearly picture what such a creature would be like. Some overblown scavenger adorned in junk and with a pack of suitably stupid followers.
"We did not find the King of Rats - his followers found us. They led us down deeper under the city, through the sewers and abandoned subway tunnels, deeper and deeper into entire sunken buildings of Old Detroit, somehow buried but intact beneath the surface. It was here we were brought before the King of Rats, not small or scrawny, but lithe and muscular, eyes glowing with a ferocious intelligence. His legions of devout followers were not a pack, nor a cult nor even an army, but a nation. A nation hidden beneath our feet."
...Wait, it is still Friday, right? Whew, I made it.
So, last week I promised something for the holiday. This one is a couple of years old but fittingly appropriate for this day. I present to you... well, I'll let him tell you in his own words...
Hi, my name is Peter Nemerson and I am a zombie. Wait, it's not what you think. You see, the funny thing is I'm not your average walking dead. I actually have no hunger for human flesh or brains or even blood. I'm not a mindless creature, I'm still good old Pete. Ok, here's my story. When Doctor Dou***bag... err, Destroyer... attacked Detroit, I was killed in a collapsing building. The only problem is I didn't stay dead, thanks to the spell-crafted ankh necklace given to me by my wizard-in-training neighbor. Of course, she happened to be practicing dark magic when she made it, which brings me to my present state.
My best guess is the eternal life of the ankh and the death dealing dark powers created... well, I call it a "conflict of interest". My body died but my brain did not, so when my flesh was reanimated my mind was still whole. My mother always said I was special and unique in my own way. Somehow, I don't think this is what she was talking about.
So there you have it, I am an all-too-human mind trapped in the body of a rotting corpse. I usually stay hidden lest some champion mistakes me for a standard zombie. The only time I show myself is during the Blood Moon, when that as*... as*... aspiring zombie master Takofanes brings forth his undead horde. Then I can kill real zombies while getting lost in the crowd, so to speak. I may not be a champion or much of a superhero but at least I can try to do some good with the powers I have at hand.
Perhaps some day I can be Pete Nemeson again or, at the very least, find a place for myself in this crazy world. Then again, maybe one day I will be completely dead. Perhaps, but for now that person is gone and in his place I am... Half Dead Pete!
Half Dead Pete
And there you have it, straight from the horse... err, zombie's mouth.
Until next week, when I do something.... else. Later all.
Who knows where this hero comes from. Is he a a human hero in armor, and alien in same or a robot meant to look like some sort of teal colored alien creature? No one knows and he offers no hints.

Totally inspired by Quackstorm. I loved those color combinations the moment I saw them. Kind of a sea foam, I think. Using my Chocolate Rampage concept I decided to blend the two. Except this one's all gleaming metal. Maybe that part was inspired by Stargate (never watched the series, but I will get around to it).
I'll have to double check, but I think all of the parts are free to everyone. I'll add a cap soon.
"Pff, they were all so melodramatic about my funeral. Who ever said I was going away? After they got the message, though, it became quite a good party!
...Oh, how I died? Uh, piranhas ate all my skin and organs. Yes, I did look like this while in the casket, as it turns out. No, don't ask me how they were able to find all the bones."
Cobalt is a long time hero who assigned himself to U.N.T.I.L. When not training green heroes or guiding U.N.T.I.L. agents in tactics versus Argent and Viper, he takes assignments when other heroes are busy with planet wide or off world catastrophes. He's recently suggested that he is bored with his auxiliary status and is looking to get back into the thick of it.
History teacher turned Superhero. Fed up with watching the citizens of Mill City running for their lives daily, Raphael Hanley, decided he had had enough and donned a costume and went to work rescuing other citizens. Before long, Ralph nearly died trying to stop a Destroid from attacking two wounded police offices. Luckily Defender was flying overhead and intervened quickly. Both Hanley and the police officers survived. Hanley quickly became a regular visitor to Mercy Hospital with hero after hero jumping in to save him as he tries his best save other citizens absent any meta-power. "He seemed to want to go out in a Blaze of Glory" one officer put it in a report.
Eventually, Defender sends out the word, that since Hanley could not be dissuaded from his quest to become a hero, that the Superhero community should do whatever they can to make him become as self sufficient as possible. And before Blaze, as they were calling him now, could managed to actually, finally, harm himself beyond the ability of the Doctors at Mercy to fix. Many heroes had begun to respect Hanley's iron will and volunteered devices of magic, engineering and science. Others trained him in martial arts or other forms of combat and defense.
Eventually, they believe that Blaze might even be able to take on some major villains without their assistance. Something they would be silently proud of.
A simple, but classic looking caped wonder. No rare parts required.
-
-
Designed with an idea that Blaze might be used with a well designed cross disciplined FF. Users choice, of course. Could even be an Inferno if you're a skilled player.

{ shrug } So somebody decided to make a well-built looking robot with blue photoreceptor. Musta been one of dose chick scientist you read about dese days.
Needs Steam punk electro-guantlets available on the AH or during the Winter Event { coming soon }. There are plenty of substitutes.
All I did was start with the Automaton and kept tweaking until the above appeared and named it. Might make a nice Nemesis.
This very pleasant spoken robot appeared in the RenCen one day as ask if it could be of assistance. It seemed surprised that the olny assistance it could offer involved rendering a variety of humans and other creatures unconscious. Still, it jumped right in and did it's best to comply.
( Imagine if C-3PO were asked to act as a superhero and you will have who this is in personality )
You will need Socrates Head and Psionic Dragon Armor to create the metal pointy ear effect.
Thursday 6th Nov: Hidden Alien (last of the Bloodmoon costumes)
Even when you think you see them, your not really looking at them. And later, when you are no longer looking at them you quickly forget that you've seen them. Like a dream, the memory of it quickly fades until the only thing left is the feeling you felt when you were asleep.
Um... What was I talking about?
}} shivers {{
Excuse me. I'm going to go turn up the thermostat.
Parts Needed: Socrates Head. Add the perfect Aura and you can make this really creepy, especially in the darker areas of the game. Dark, Shadow Form, possible Sparkle aura for contrast.
(Requires: Archer set (chest wear, collar), Pilgrim hat gold reward)
Remember, remember. And all that. I could hardly let today go unmarked, especially since the perfect hat was released scant days before.
If anything, it'd be nice to introduce the real Guy Fawkes to all the non-Brits on these boards, since the V For Vendetta movie has somewhat poisoned his legacy by romanticising him to absurd lengths as some champion against tyranny. I've written in greater length about him over on Tumblr, but the short version is that he was part of a catholic plot to assassinate the new protestant king of England. The plot failed, Fawkes was caught, tortured and killed and the tradition of burning his effigy on top of a bonfire caught on across the country. And somehow along the way it turned into a pleasant family evening out going 'ooh' and 'aah' at fireworks.
There's some going off outside my window right now. Happy Guy Fawkes Night, everyone!
Yes, I missed my mark yet again. I'm still working out the kinks on my project: the World and it's Revolution with myself as the Center Point. I've either had a few setbacks or it's an epic failure, I haven't decided yet. On with the show...
This week finds me........ totally unprepared.
Not sure where I was going with this, I ended up with something quick, simple and eye-poppingly nauseating. This... colorful... lady goes by the name of Chromatica. Every power she uses is a different color. Of course, she has no need to actually fight when her costume alone will incapacitate her enemies. Whether they are puking their guts out or have some kind of seizure, the battle is over before it ever began.
Or we could just pretend I never made this one....
Chromatica
Chromatica probably should never see the light of day. Please burn this file, because only you can prevent Cosmic Eye Strain.
See you all next week, and if I'm not here.... blame Chromatica.
"MUHAHAHAHAAA! At last, I've done it! I've created my ultimate lieutenant!"
"Doctor, what on earth?! Even by my standards, that thing's messed up."
"He can latch on to his foes to not only drain their blood, but also store their DNA to mutate himself!"
"He isn't even half as tall as me, let alone White Rhino. I don't see how-"
"Idiot Swine! He will use the vital fluids he sucks from his foes to mutate himself and become a mightier beast! A few days in the wild hunt of my island, and he'll be UNSTOPPABLE!"
"...Right. I'm sure VIPER will totally not redact their offer after this. Frankly, this is an even worse idea than Chimera."

Many possibilities here. Behemoth, Glacier, Mountain, Savage, Scourge/Cursed, Squall or even Tempest if your feeling creative. And yes, I know... It's another brawny-looking costume.
It's a drop.

Slightly transformer-inspired robot dude.

Ok, see you all next week, when it's Halloween theme time! Oooooooooo.... that, that's my ghost voice.... alright, leaving now.

All free. Use UNTIL Mantle, or not, as desired.
Rabbit Season!
Duck Season!
Human Season?
All free, ready to go, Manimal set up for easy use as a Soldier.

Purple and gold as befitting a queen or princess. Named for that silly looking half of a crown on her head.
Parts - Robes Long Layered - is a 200 Days Veteran Reward.
This has GOT to be somebody's Nemesis.
Why did I create this one? I think you all know why.
The head can be found during the Winter Event and on the AH sporadically.

Even when you think you see them, your not really looking at them. And later, when you are no longer looking at them you quickly forget that you've seen them. Like a dream, the memory of it quickly fades until the only thing left is the feeling you felt when you were asleep.
Um... What was I talking about?
}} shivers {{
Excuse me. I'm going to go turn up the thermostat.
Parts Needed: Socrates Head. Add the perfect Aura and you can make this really creepy, especially in the darker areas of the game. Dark, Shadow Form, possible Sparkle aura for contrast.
-
On a side note, I think that this robe on Half a Crown is a veteran reward, no ?
(°∇° ) #megalodon2015
First, I can change it and I'll even give you credit for it.
2nd, I'll need to double check that. The CC does not always indicate drops or Vet rewards. { shrug }
Edit - Unlocked part Robes Long Layered - yup it's a 200 Days Vet Reward.
http://co-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=153301&page=2
Made because it was an obvious pun that needed to be made.
Parts: Don't care. It's a bad joke. Oh, okay.
