A double costume post! Quick, catch it before it runs off!
Wednesday 6th August 2014
Inanna and Nilsson
Inanna requires: Retro Sci-fi set (top and bottom), Psionic Dragon set (hips layer)
Nilsson requires: Victorian Set (jacket), Steampunk Cyborg set (eye accessory), Warlord backpack unlock
Inanna is me on a bit of a Gamora kick, although she is more 'inspired-by' than anything else. There's actually little to say about her, other than I really liked how colourful the costume is without looking too busy. Green skin, red outfit, gold highlights and black-blue dreadlocks.
Nilsson was never supposed to become a full costume, as I started off just experimenting with different ways of making jumpers ('sweaters' if you're a colonial). Somehow a slightly nerdy student was turned into an adventurer scientist by adding the Warlord backpack, and the shoulderpads fitted perfectly with the jacket. A good look for a gadgeteer / power armour combo character I think. He looks a bit out of time, like he went missing in the sixties and only just re-appeared.
I had to put my Lappy in the shop. No idea how long I will be without my little friend. Using the old PC to post this.
I'll try to keep updating my lists what ever you guys add. I might be able to still create costumes on this old friend, but what I would post will not likely look as nice cap-wise or what-have-you. We'll see.
I know it's only been a few days, but I miss jumping into an Alert or two, or helping out on open missions. And trying to play on this thing is now out of the question. I just do not believe I can ever go back to playing in that Fog-of-War.
So there I was, making a costume for today but it just wasn't working out. I tried and tried yet couldn't get it to click. I pushed it aside (not giving up yet) and came up with something on the fly.
The man you see before you is not a man at all. He is a creature of the world of the Fae. Born in the wilds in the dead of winter, he is part winter and part animal predator.
He is the Lord of the Winter Hunt.
Lord of the Winter Hunt
Summer will soon fade and Winter will be upon us... might as well be ready.

I think I just gave myself an idea for a costume. Well, I get my good computer back on Wednesday.

No, I did not get my PC back early, in fact, I probably won't have it back for three more weeks, :-(
I'm using the files stored among my backup data on My Passport. While I cannot make any nice new costumes, I can at least use some of the ones I have already made to keep our project going at least as far as these will let me.
I may actually have to post some of the crap I never meant to post - EVER!

Yup. All parts are free. User might want to tinker with the illuminated parts to meet illumination preferences.
I freakin' love Captain Cold from DC. Not only does he have one of the coolest (pun not intended) costumes ever but 'Snart' is the best surname for a villain ever. Here's a homage to him.........
FROSTBITE!
For this outfit you will need the Santa costume, the Speedster Goggles, the classic Foxbat belt and the stars tights set.
Here's the file......
It's a shame we don't have emanation points for powers coming out of weapons....an ice gun wouldn't go amiss here. The sci-fi type one from the Pulp set would look so good.
Oh, and I'm currently in love with the blue used in this costume. I can't stop using it in-game atm. Does anyone else suffer from this type of problem?
Not me, I'm having a "This costume needs moar black"-ites. But yeah, awesome work as always, Zen!

I notice that I don't do it with my own characters but I do sometimes do it with the outfits posted here. It's not obvious both due to the order I post them and because I sometimes catch it and make small tweaks.
"Interesting builds are born from limitations not by letting players put everything into one build."
Is there a protocol for outsiders pitching in? I've got a half-dozen or so ideas that might fit.
You have our permission to post as many Hero Files as you wish to this thread. We made it three-quarters of the way through the year, but it starting to look like the last stretch is gonna be the toughest so...
I recently got the arcane tattoos and a few hours later i was tempted to make a new charatcer, who I have found to be an ascetic masterpiece, but as for rp personality and powers, I'm stumped so I give you "Dark Oracle"
Feel free to use however you wish, fiddle with it, its pretty much a idea i had, but have no logical use for more then just a irrelevant pretty costume, which isn't normally my style, sorry for the issues in sharing this photo... I had to figureout what of my photo streams actually works on the forums
If you can find the time, could you possibly mention, in you post, whatever unusual parts you used to create that costume?
Parts that come from Drops or Recognition stores do not show in the CC unless the player's account has already found and added an item. Even the belt went missing when I was looking at her just now.
Sovereign Sons Voodoo Shaman Belt, Sovereign Sons Vest Skulls, Arcane Tattoos pattern on head/chest/legs... and I think that's it? Hard to tell from just looking at the picture, but the hair, hands, and feet look basic to me.
I'll go ahead and toss another one of mine in. She was mostly an experiment to make a good buttcape outfit (or at least one I like) since I've never actually used it for a costume before. It's a bit basic in design and coloration, but I'm content with it. Requires Archer set (hood and pants), Persian (arm accessories), Dr. Ka's Belt, Demon Knight (tunic), and the New Shadows Waist Cape.
The greens in the costume file are all one shade darker than the screenshot due to being a bit too bright in MC, but you can always change those back if you prefer it that way. Not really sure what's up with the white splotches on the left glove, but I didn't notice clipping in the costume creator. Well, except for the hair mildly jutting out of the left side of the hood, but you can easily remove that without it messing with anything..
For Monday 22nd Sep - The Super Conductor - (Tempest)
James "The Elfman" Williams is perhaps the most famous and liked composer in modern times. He may well be the most recognized name in movie themes alive. While he has suffer several accidents to his body, each damaged part being replaced in turn with mechanical parts, his head, and thus his mind, has remained uninjured and fully intact.
Not only does this allow him to remain a capable composer and conductor, it has allowed him to become, in part, a Superhero. In the post Qularr invasion, he was even dubbed -The Super Conductor.
-
-
The whole idea of this hero came when I decided that I had used many, but never all, of the Superconductor pieces available at the ( UNTIL Recognition Store ). The Black / White is my attempt to make it look like a Tuxedo with tails. I gave up on the tails and threw on a black cape. { shrug }

Super Robot Lifeform and Riley
(Super Robot Lifeform requires: Steel commando chest unlock, Mechassassin shield unlock, Warlord bracer unlock, Sakura Mecha Armor set (feet), LTS subscriber Art Deco back, Cyberpunk Torso unlock, Cyberpunk Legs unlock)
(Riley requires: Holoforce set (arm accessory, bracer), Psionic Dragon set (chest wear), Tesla set (hips layer))
Super Robot Lifeform! Ah, he's a bit narky about being left on a planet of fleshlings, having to disguise himself as a car or a bike or whatever it is he transformations himself into, but his biggest worry is infringing copyright. Oh, and he's trying to stop Blegatron from capturing the Blatrix of Bleadership.
Riley is also a bit of a fish out of water. She was having a grand old time trying to save the universe from giant unstoppable living insectoid spaceships that show up every few thousand years to ruin everyone's day, and then poof! And to think Blommander Blephard once called this her favourite costume on the Citadel.

"Interesting builds are born from limitations not by letting players put everything into one build."
Anna Morigan liked to go to all the large conventions (comic book, video game) and she loved to cosplay. Her favorite was the online game, Society of Fables, and her absolute favorite character was Moriganna. She loved this character so much that she had her name legally change for (something boring) to Anna Morigan, just to be more in touch with the character.
Edit: I think she's a little OUT of tough with reality
At the last convention she came across a real live wizard. She was so excited that she asked him to turn her into Moriganna for real. Always willing to flex his magical might, the wizard was more than happy to "help" Anna.
So now she IS Moriganna, for real.... forever. No costume to change, no makeup to remove. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all...
Moriganna
Ok, maybe that wasn't so quick after all. Oh well, whatcha gonna do?
That's it, until next week, see ya around.
Four costumes this week from me..i practically went on a redesign frenzy and a lot of my stuff ended up as completely new cossies, some redesigned even.
Remember this old cossie here? Well i decided more costumes like that haha, a sorta cyber ninja animal theme heh. I'll admit i had a lot of fun making these.
With this one i think i had a kamen rider thing going on unintentionally.. oh well turned out better than expected. If you want to see the old costume click here.
I'm guessing that you are very tired. That last Costume File link to Dr Schneider Redesigned? It does not lead to a costume file. It is linked to the cap file. It's okay, I found the right file and posted a link to it below.

zamuelpwe,
It's very simple - I counted EVERY useable Costume File posted to this thread.
Be as humble as you wish to be, but I count two costume files posted - one male, one female - in most of your costume post. Whatever you name the pair, I see it as just that, a pair, as in two. I can't see counting twice the work at half the value.
When Dec 31 on rolls around and I can count exactly 365 costumes, because of all of your male/female post, feel free to disagree. I'll still be proud we made it to 365.
Heck, like a said earlier this month. I'm proud we got this far. Every extra costume is one more to be proud of.

Ack darn posted up the screenie instead of the costume file, thanks for picking that up quickly, and yes i was very tired haha posted that very late over here. i'll have that fixed in a moment.
Since the invite was sentout earlier in the thread, and I always make more designs than I'll ever use.. figured I'd add a couple for.. whatever day needs them.
First, in the category of "Why Bluegrass oughtn't make characters late at night"... cheeky, corny, probably a little offensive but I love cheesecake and I cannot lie...

Imbued by the Powers Celestial for having such a heavenly body, mild-mannered "fashion model" Vanessa Valentine now crusades for truth, justice, and topfreedom equality as the sultry super-heroine Pinup Girl!
The only non-free pieces I'm aware of in this one are the Gravitar necklace and the holoforce belt accessory; set the latter to "glass" and it really spices up the classic insignia belt but it's hardly essential, and the necklace can be shifted around or even removed entirely.
