So bobsy26 created Dalton, so this is not a new costume, just me deciding to see if I could tweak this costume nicely without breaking it.
Having no access to Archer set, I decided to experiment with the parts I had on hand or visible purchasable ones in the CC from my PC. Using a very limited tweak, I create what I call the Elegant Pirate (it is misspelled on CC the file) using the Victorian Set (purchasable), and the second, I call the Elegant Soldier, using the UNTIL military jacket needed for the bobsy26 Space Admiral.
The Elegant Pirate seemed an easy and obvious swap, but The Elegant Soldier reminded me of characters often shown in period movies, taking place during turn of the last century, when titled European aristocrats ( barons and so forth ) serve as officers in the latest wars and wore elaborate uniforms fitting of their station completely irrelevant of any actual rank held by the titled person held in the countries military.
Both still need the Mantle of Takophanes for both to maintain the elegance factor - IMHO. While Santa Pants looks good on both, I think I prefer tight pants on the soldier. I also went with a monocle and tweaked the hair and the mustache because I just kept fiddling. Nothing wrong with what was there, in fact I love those little details. Still, I thought a tiny scar might make the soldier more sinister if you want to go in that direction, leave it, or remove it if you do not.
So, here is the Elegant Pirate.
-
And the Elegant Soldier.
-
Oh I also tweaked the main color of the pants to better match the cape.
So, again, Dalton intrigued me so much I had to play with it. Thanks, bobsy26, for giving me something to play with.
Afraid I won't have a new costume today, but I'll try and upload something tomorrow. I was looking through a few of my unused concepts, and to be honest, none seemed quite good enough to go with. So I'm going to sleep on it and have another go tomorrow after work.
(Requires: Arabian Nights set (hood), Archer set (neck cape), Feather Armor Set (shoulders), Legacy Power Armor set (chest), Psionic Dragon set (hips layer))
Most comfortable when working in blue and gold, I guess. Another female muslim hero, a ranged counterpoint to Moonblade from a few months back.
Cyborg assassin, engineered both mechanically and genetically. Nobody's seen her face, nor are they even sure she actually has one. Seems to operate around the Philippines, despite her appearance.
Here's some more impossible to use stuff! This one's like some kind of unholy stupid cross between Zer0 and Rei Ayanami.
Ugh! Fell asleep in the middle of making my character for Friday, got kicked without saving and lost everything. Too tired to start over now, will post something sometime on Saturday.
Ahh, the ups and downs of working for a living, eh?
Happy Fri... err, Saturday! (better late than never)
I finally got some free time to make and post my weekly entry. I was going to continue with my current pattern (fire, ice, electricity) and make a Force character. However, I had another idea strike me while I was working on it.
I've already created two characters inspired by Shadowrun, a Street Samurai and a Mage, so now I give you a Shaman. Although the previous ones were both human, this time I decided to go metahuman and made an Orc.
So here he is, my Orc Shaman Private Detective....
....well, he has no name. Let's just call him Street Shaman.
Street Shaman: Orc
I hope I've done the shamans of the world justice with this one.
I hope I've done the shamans of the world justice with this one.
If he was thinner (I was using the companion book rules that let you make your orc a hobgoblin) this is exactly how I'd imagine a character I used to have looked.
Here a new vigilante girl, something very Nightwing and sidekick inspired : Blue Sparrow, a girl with a dual nightstick and featherangs to fight thugs of Millennium City
Im sorry but im going to have to resign from this Costume a day thread, so feel free to have someone else fill in for me. Champions no longer runs on my computer as of late, (keeps shutting off on me, hardware problems.) and i'll also be uninstalling cause well i can't even play it really.

Sorry man computer hardware problems, it turns out putting too much strain on it causes it to overheat and shut off, I'll be back when I get a new computer, right now I'm only using it to draw chibi requests and YouTube music.
I'll still browse the forums on my tablet and as for my account im still going to keep it for myself, could be months till I return..
I remember having problems with my comp back in the older days, it wasn't as bad but I fear my integrated graphics card may be damaged, and my rear USB ports are loose... which means I may have no choice but to replace the whole thing. If I did salvage it, the only thing I would be able to retain are my artwork files. I've practically uninstalled all my games to prevent further strain on it in.
The damage now is pretty severe, I've spent more money on repairs than the thing itself, its on its last legs unfortunately.
Have you looked in the troubleshooting settings? One of the options available is "Reduce CPU/GPU Usage" which helps immensely for such things. Other options you can enable to reduce potential damage include a framerate limit (60 should be standard unless you have a super baller computer and monitor. My old HD4850 had the limit at like 50-45 FPS), and especially reducing antialiasing (it's almost unnoticeable. Medium 2x and High 4x have practically no visible difference if you have comic outlines on).
At the very least, this is knowledge you can apply to your next computer to keep it from overheating again. Champions and other Cryptic Engine games do run unusually hot!

Sorry to hear you're having computer problems. Don't worry about us. We'll get by one way or another.
But whatever happens, if you get your computer fixed before the end of the year and you feel like creating posting something fun, just do it, as they say.

Well, we're near the end of September and Autumn is starting to kick in (or 'Fall' if you're one of those beastly colonials) so here is my eponymous tribute to the season. She takes a large amount of inspiration from the Eldar of Warhammer 40k, who were always described as the last remnants of a race inexorably bound for extinction - essentially in their Autumn years. I was therefore a little bemused why Eldar are always portrayed in bright, lush, summery colours instead of deep warm autumnal browns to fit their declining station.
Ruh-Roh is what happened when a civilian went out to walk his dog, and aliens beamed the pair up to their ship, then ran them, together, through a Genetic Recombinator before returning, the now one creature, to it's place of origin.
Ver 1.0

Immediately after the return is an extremely friendly and helpful, but untrained scary looking dog-man. Named Ruh-Roh because it was the only, near-human, sound that his dog mouth could manage when first discovered.
Ver 2.0

Much later after a tail bobbing and lots of training now helps heroes hunt villains and any alien menace along side heroes and the military.
Yet another Electric Superhero. Power Switch is an update to another of my old CCE posts. Tweaked the colors and the parts, but it is still wholly free for all.

(Requires: Magical Girl set (Chest Layer), Dryad set (hips layer), City Street Defender set (hair), Bird People set unlock (back, but can be easily replaced with standard wings))
Here's a cautionary tale for all you costumers.
So I wanted to make an angel, and avoid the standard 'white-and-gold' setup that's so commonly used. It's become clich
Yeah, having a highlight color or section is pretty key to most outfits looking really good and distinctive. Not to say that the rest of the outfit necessarily has to suffer in detail or color due to it, though. For a lot of outfits, sometimes that background color part can end up being a blend of deep greys and greens or such. I imagine the costume could still work really well if the white were a very pastel pink or blue...
Incidentally if you dressed her in bright blue she'd end up looking like Rainbow Dash, so there's that.
Why would a perfect, divine being choose to dress themselves in such mortal representations of material wealth as silver and gold? Why so bland, colour-wise? Wouldn't such a creature wish to revel in the entire spectrum, celebrating light and beauty as best it could?
Possibly because CU angels are shaped by human beliefs and traditions. It means in their humanoid form they do appear as mortals were imagining ideas like wealth and royalty.
The warrior princess of alsiehtlksefhgdrofigalekwjartoissdalegardengard. Nobody likes going there because the name of it is freakin' unpronounceable. COSTUME FILE.
I really wanted to stay away from doing more techy crap, due to my tailor being completely and utterly overloaded with options of that style. That said, I asked people for ideas on what to do (not the same people as last time, of course), and the prompt given was He-man style. This is more like.... She-ra. Or maybe more accurately Phantasy Star or something. who knows, it looks okish.
A straight up purple Behemoth. PB was the first costume I ever took time to create. I played with the CC for hours and still it ended up looking like a Grape Ape. Now that my PC is much more qualified to make even simple costumes look great, I thought I try an updated version. For me the brightness in the yellow eyes are the thing that turns this into a costume.
-
-
Still, he's kind of an eyesore, but with the right aura he might just find a home.
I think I get what you're going for but I think the idea might be more suitable if you fiddled with a variance around the base color. Here's a quick attempt that I didn't bother to save:

It's a naked purple guy...with no genitals.
I think you could add more depth to this, making a purple naked guy, isn't a costume. Adding an aura would just intensify eye soreness.
Could keep skin purple but dress him as a brute (like the guy who posted above me) but I wouldn't make him monotone. Give him some hand wraps, maybe a torn shirt...could go the Andre the Giant tights look (two strap tank top). Stay away from more purple unless...give him all purple and pale skin.
Something distinctly 90s in terms of its colour scheme, but I've been champing at the bit to do glass armour for a while, and haven't found quite the right outlet. So here's Eltius.
^ Now that there's a solid look! If there's one thing I haven't really been able to wrap my design philosophy and technique around, it's 90s color schemes. Getting that good shade of 'Plastic Merchandise' isn't easy for me.
Slowly but surely, we will soon have gigantic fat men of a single color for every day of the week, and every color on the rainbow. You truly are doing a service for humanity, Zed.
Edit - Crayola manufactures 120 different Crayola Crayon colors, not including specialty colors. The 120 count box includes all the standard colors. IOW - I could have create SO MANY more elemental Golems. :-)

Would you believe, it came about by accident? Purple and gold, it turns out, look 90s. Oddly enough, these are literally the two colours that indicated the most wealth and status (purple dye was so rare only emperors could afford it, and gold is gold), manage to evoke the spirit of the decade. Stupid strong economy.

And to my fellow Malvans, let this be both a triumph and omen - a triumph in our own superiority as a species, and an omen, to what shall become of your spotless body if you shall choose to bravely stand in battle!!"
Amazing work yet again, people! Oh and Zen, about Stinkbug and The Green Mist:
Also, I thought I would share on a redesign for a forgotten character; Black Lynx.
Previously just a character that was directly inspired by Catwoman, I kept struggling on who this character should look like for many, many months. While looking around for thief-like characters on Comic Vine, I stumbled across DC's Aviva Metula (or Shadow-thief) and began to formulate on how she will designed and after days of trying and re-trying, I became pretty pleased with the results.
Love your costume! Where are the goggles from, though?? I must have them.
