We're going to be having a maintenance later this afternoon, in order to fix the issue with the giveaway.
The bug that we need to fix (and for which we disabled the event) is that the shuttle is bound, but the MOD in it wasn't. You could claim the shuttle, un-slot the MOD for 1G, sell the MOD for 9G, delete the character, create another one, get the shuttle...
This will be fixed in the new patch that we're making right now, so we'll be able to re-activate the giveaway this afternoon. I'll update with the actual start time when we have a timeline.
Quick notes:
-You are meant to be able to get one of these per character. I was incorrect when I wrote that it was a once-per-account thing.
-These are bound per character, as they were designed.

Yeah some things are broken... no I don't use/abuse them.. where would be the fun in that?
Glad to see quick resolution and good outcome - vehicles for all characters. yay.
Btw is there a plan to extend the ability to pick up npc at other end? due to down time now. players may miss out due to real life commitments conflicting with this unexpected change.

Yeah, that's working as designed. The bug was related to the MOD being unbound.

All I did was ask why isn't it free when they are advertising that it is free, but if you think that asking a question is complaining then you have never asked a question in your entire life or have never had anyone ask you a question. Also I don't care if it cost 5L they are advertising that it's free therefore it should be free it shouldn't cost me even 1L, saying it's free and then making you pay even a small amount is not the same thing.

Honestly that is not even the point, great 55L is nothing but again that is not the point, the point is CO is advertising that it is free as in not cost anything F-R-E-E get it, it should not cost anything.

I am not impoverished nor am I self entitled, I just don't like false advertising. I wonder how you all would act if this was something in real life and not in a game, would you act the same or would you be a little bit miffed about false advertising. If someone offered you for example a t-shirt in real life saying it's free but when you go to get it they say you have to give me a dollar for it what would you do then? I wonder if you would actually just say, meh it's just a dollar even though you said free but here you go. CO either needs to give it away for free as the advertising states or change the advertising with the correct price no matter how small and easy it is to obtain. False advertising is false advertising no matter what, and it doesn't make anyone self entitled for pointing it out.
next I would ask why they have them advertised as free, when you are charging.
Some it is a delivery fee, commission or other charges on FREE items.
If they have not stated in their advertising that there will be a charge, I would point out to them that they are required by law, to say so.
It is then up to me to decide if I wish to pay for the free item.
also, what money have you paid for this free item?
None, you used in-game currency, which you acquired for free.

It costs so few resources that a level 1 character can easily collect them by killing henchman mobs.

My characters
The advertisement meant real money. Not some made up Cluedo money. You can't buy any items put ingame by Cryptic, like the Ship and The Costume Pack with Ls, Ns or Gs you know, Resources.
Someone should start to complain how Free-To-Play isn't really free....

It's not yet The Invasion, they are just doing some recon, blending in with regular citizens. Real Invasion hits when the Big Guys come out to play.

you know the non-government, no legal right to hand out ratings, privately run , pay to win group.
which has been taken to court several times because you can only get good ratings, if you pay to become a member.Including peoples ratings miraculously going from F to A on payment of membership.

2 - Use your otherwise borderline useless recognition to buy some healing devices.
3 - Sell healing devices to Karneki for resources.
4 - Buy your insanely expensive costume and vehicle. Whoa! Look how RICH you are, you can afford the freakin one national price tag!
5 - Stop crying.
Optionally, if you somehow managed to have no vendor trash to sell or not a single recog of ANY kind...
Then probably the vehicle isn't for you anyway because you are very unlikely to find how to use it.
On the same record, probably you also have difficulties using the tailor so you are better without the costume.
And yes, it costs no real life money and no serious time investment, so it is entirely free giveaway.
Claimed the shuttle only on character with UN background and few others with no flight TPs.
I only wonder if it will be possible to tune-up the shuttle to the MK II version.
Indeed it is. if you check the vehicle upgrade npc you will see the until shuttle is in there. (well i haven't checked live tbh, but it was on pts)

The advertisement was entirely true.
The shuttle and the costume does not cost you a single $.
Therefore it is free. Real cash free.
Just like the game is free to play, but you still have to farm some resources for things.
CO has false advertising on their page me pointing it out doesn't make me a dingdong. Calling me names just makes you seem like when someone points out the truth to you that you can't handle it so you resort to name calling. And for "Don't take the freebies." Well they aren't really free now are they.
The fact you are not accepting what was explained to you does not makes it any less true.
You have to spend 55L on it so it is not free. Free means you get it for nothing. The fact that you have to spend even a little bit of resources on it doesn't make it free. Why can't you all accept that free means it costs nothing even in game resources. So yes it is False Advertising. CO needs to change it, FREE means it costs nothing, not real money, not in game resources, not anything. You all seem to not get it or accept it and that is the truth.

Or something. I forget which ones are locals. In game currency has a real money equivalent. $1 = 100 zen = 100g-125g ish. Q also has a real dollar value since you can trade it for zen, which has a real dollar value.

1G = $0.01 (one one hundreth of a dollar = 1/100)
1G = 100N
1N = $0.0001 (one ten thousandth of a dollar = 1/1000)
1N = 100L
1L = $0.000001 (one one hundred thousandth of a dollar = 1/100,000)
Vehicle = 55L = $0.000055
Costume = 55L = $0.000055
Total cost, $0.000110 = approximately one ten thousandth of a dollar.
Now to me this is essentially free.

If you notice in all my posts I have been civil and have not resorted to calling names or stating that someone is a crybaby. I have been simply pointing out a simple truth and some people cannot handle it, so they resort to name calling and putting me down. If this is how they act in a forum about a game, I would hate to see how they act in real life. I never said CO was evil, all I said was that yes there is false advertising on their page and that they need to change it.
That's where the whole thing falls apart, you see - the effort to swap real-world money for in-game Resources hits a variable that depends on how badly folks want to open the latest Lockbox. With the Steel Samurai Lockbox, I recall seeing AH prices actually fall below 100 G.
So no, there is no direct correlation between real money and Resources, and only the most obscure linkage that depends on player whim if you're really reaching.
And as I have (repeatedly) pointed out, your character comes into existence in possession of, IIRC, 1N 55L, or more than enough to buy the Costume Pack and the Shuttle without needing to do one single thing in between. Just walk out of the PH, make a sharp left, talk to the man(? hard to tell under that armor), equip your shuttle, and proceed to blow the frak out of everybody in Westside.

im just pointing out in general.. whichever arbitrary price for keys you use in globals the price of the items is still several factors of size smaller than a us 1 cent. let alone a dollar. so not worth creating such a fuss over.

You were pointed few times by more than one poster where and why you are wrong. You disregarded everything but your narrow opinion.
Trying to be civil is unlikely to change anything if you are wrong. Stating that Earth is flat in a cultural way (albeit I question if entitlement is a sign of being civil) does not make it flat, you know?
Even if there was any issue (albeit there is none), it would be hardly worth of fixing since the entire Arc message will be irrelevant in Monday.
The restaurant sent a towncar to my house to pick me up, knowing that it would cease to be a free hamburger if I had to pay for costly gasoline and have my car suffer depreciation expenses by traveling. Since you have to wear clothes at their establishment, and since it isn't a free hamburger if you have to pay for your own damn clothes to get it, they bathed and clothed me before taking me to the restaurant. After carrying me to the table via stretcher, they pried my jaws open, chewed my free hamburger for me, and regurgitated it into my mouth. Considerate, since making me do any of these things for my 'free' burger would be akin to manual labor. They then wrapped me up in a diaper, and sent me home with a nurse, in order to make sure that the final passage of their free burger would not be something I'd have to bother with myself--otherwise what's the point of free things? I was pleased that they also left $50 cash on my dining room table, realizing that the opportunity cost of spending time enjoying my burger would've disqualified it from being 'free'.
PWE has a lot of nerve trying to pass this off as free. They will be hearing from my attorney.
