Thinking about this, I do recall a Marvel character in the 90s, possibly not a hero, who was female and basically drawn to be as fat as possible. I think that was mainly to contrast against the main female characters (Might've been an old X-men comic).
Hmm. It's interesting how the best example I can think of is of someone who is a villain, and thus is supposed to have features we dislike.
Odd though, how I can easily think of many more... round... male superhuman characters...
As a side note, it's interesting to note how the kinds of people who enter supervillainy and superheroism tend to have pretty similar backgrounds, yet the heroes are usually the most attractive while the villains are the most disgusting pus-gooing pulsating messes possible. With icky goo!
I think it's time for a change. We do have a lot of villains who are basically just normal people with a slight twist, but even they have expressions contorted into odd ways when they're doing evil.
It's perhaps time for ordinary people... Versus ordinary people. At least, in physical shape. Their powers can work regardless. Hmm.
At the most, bulkier women would be a bit better, if only to ensure the plausibility of them using the Brick powerset a bit more, which looks a bit too... Well, not to sound a bit silly since it's based on comicbookdom, which of course is interlinked with cartoondom... cartoonish. Like seeing someone with the improbable physique of Jessica Rabbit trying to punch someone beyond a mild slap, it just doesn't work in one's mind because humans have an inbuilt sense of what is natural movement...
So yeah. We need bulkier ladies to get out of the Uncanny Valley when they're doing things that people with that level of tone and body shape physically could not do under normal circumstances.

Finally... FINALLY someone UNDERSTANDS what the thread's about... It's not just "WAAAH, I WANNA PLAY A FAT CHICK", it just waning to inject a bit of... plausibility into the game on both sides of the gender line.
Like I said before - nobody would buy it if Superman was a skinny dude, or if Hulk was the same size as Banner, so why should we have to be stuck with our superpowered characters being the same build as the regular folks, just because they're female?
I'd love to see this. I've got idea for a toon- a girl in a massive robot suit (the ball and socket hip joint on the female mechanical beast legs is miles better than anything male), but without being able to push the mass as hard as the male's it just doesn't work.

I totally forgot about that aspect of it - males can pull off huge mecha-suits, but females can only do sleek formfitting armor. That's no good at all.
Hard to justify "Two-Ton Tina" with bodysliders that don't allow beyond a 28-inch waist.
Seriously. Nemesis' thighs are bigger than her waist. As someone said in this thread earlier, I want her to be more Frazetta and less Liefied (shudder).

the 90's Iron Age costume pack was as close as this game should EVER get to Liefailed.
I REALLY want to see more female customization in the body weight. It's really ridiculous how little we can change the female body.
I stopped playing because I disliked the lack of body customization in the females. It irked me how I couldn't even get close to my character's size...
I'd totally start playing again if we could make the females bigger.
Stop being so worried about sex appeal in the female figure and let people make them bigger in the WAIST (not just the bust and hips...) if they want.
Actually, lack of truly customisable body mass and waist on female models makes completely impossible to set nice "she-hulk" body type. A good looking, even if really tall and massive, woman should have her waist in a certain proportion to the rest of her body - even in comic books. Current CO options are making all bigger female characters looking like they are wearing very tight corselet. It looks disproportional, unnatural and, well... FUGLY.
It's a rather amusing case of sexism which, instead of making all characters "on default" pretty, ended in making barely passable hulking female monstrosities.
We've got plenty of sliders - they just don't work like they ought to do.
The only one I found that didn't work the way it was supposed to was the body mass slider for women. Past a certain point, the body mass slider makes female toons more bulky in the torso, but less muscular in the arms and legs.

The "Waist" slider doesn't change the waist - it widens the hips. the waist is effectively static. and the bodymass slider, well, its effect is practically negligible.
every slider needs to be expanded, i can see the reason why there is a limit on height (although both genders should have the same height) but if i want to make a female character with long fingers and really short legs the sliders should not limit me for it.
or what about making a dwarf, both genders have no option to make one.
the legs can't go that small and the character's torso is always way to long, i say make sliders free from limits.
the game a i o n has the exact same idea, that game gives you the ability to make your own character regardless of how weird the character looks like.
this is a super hero game not some kind of "choose your character" game where you only have humans to choose from, make it work or let a pro handle it.
A lot of people. They should have this option.
Personally, I'm not looking forward for making overweight characters, but I would like an option for making healthy looking muscular toon.

Not everyone of us wants to make only characters who are simply "pretty" or romanceable. Some of us are looking for something different, more realistic, or interesting on the conceptual level.

Oddly enough, I know someone who would eat this up.
Not really what I consider 'my cup of tea', matter of fact- I think it's downright gross, but I'll say yeah for the sake of the gaming community. If they do this, it means they're at least listening.
The number of people who make giant sized female toons is quite staggering. There are more "taller than the average male" female toons in Champions than any other game (with **** in second place) and there a good chunk of these toons are beefed up to the maximum.
Without a doubt, giving female toons more variable sliders will allow for a wider variety of female characters, and probably attract more players.

This is EXACTLY the sort of thing I'd love to see.
Somewhat related to this: I challenge everyone to make an elderly lady. In fact, for a concept for this challenge, let's make it Mrs. Claus, the wife of Santa. So, traditionally, a portly yet still somewhat healthy-ish old lady, with rosy cheeks, and a warm demeanour.
Age, especially of the non-wasted away variety, is hard to do. My Santa Claus has multiple things on the absolute maximum or minimum, so I predict that everyone's Mrs. Claus will be similar. Let's see what we can push the game to do.
And none of that 'young and hot reinterpretation' rubbish. Let's go elderly and infirm but still likely to live for another 15 years!
Great! I've been playing Champions online for quite some time now. Although, there can be a lot of things for this name's sake is concern.
If it's more of "Champions", there should be at least online donating for those who are in need. I suggest that the admin's could at lease bring up a topic that would cater more of the engagements of players to help the community.
That said, yeah, I'll bump the hell out of this to get some chunkier female models in the game. It's especially irritating when you want to have your girl pilot a massive, tank-like powered armor, but it doesn't work out because it's still got an hourglass figure.
I want to be able to make giant muscular amazon women, androgynous girly boys, teenage heroines with less hourglass and boobage... In short the female sliders don't let me give female characters enough bulk, small enough chests, or adjust the waist. I'd like to see that remedied.
I'm getting that this whole thread can be solved with bigger boobs.
So there you have it Cryptic. 25 pages of champions requesting bigger boob slider.
Actually, I think you'll find that bigger boobs are the one thing that haven't been really asked for a whole lot. In fact, the previous post was a request to be able to make smaller boobs. The problem is that all the female figures end up being pretty much exactly the same shape- no flab, nearly no muscle, perfect hourglass... it's a thirteen-fourteen-year-old-boy's fantasy.

Comic designs evolve over time - the range of changes between then 60's, 80's, and today, are proof. There is no singular "comic style".
Yes, that's true. I hope the style changes so we can see chubby Rogues and Jean Greys

Reef hunter is a she-shark, but I wanted her without boobs and curves, so I used a male body to make the shark-in-power-armor costume.
Of course it would be optimal to make it female without the default body.

Part of the point of this thread is eventually making it so such "workarounds" are not needed.
And I agree with it. Totally. I'm tired of using a holographic devices and get a male body. Feels odd.
Looks odd, too.
My demazon still isn't buff enuff

Hehe, Liefailed, I definitely need to pass that on to a friend of mine, she'll get a kick out of it
Pretty please with sugar on top.
Dead Serious has enough love for ALL the girls!
we need more sliders like in APB ( All Points Bulletin )
some example from my character at APB... i likes the body costomization alot ^^

http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/9348/stellshadow.gif It'd be nice to be able to make a character AT LEAST that big. Why not make the female and male body mass sliders the same?
