Why CO sites front page, http://co.perfectworld.com/, has a pop up window which forces to ARC Games page?
Oh, i see. It got streamlined like the rest of the Cryptic game sites.

    I cannot manage my subscription because of this since the normal website was the only way I was aware of doing it. So on a side note, is there a way to reach it now?

    So it's official, we're stuck with that eye sore of a website. I guess no one was going to their new website so they're now taking the blunt/direct approach.

    Hey PW, this new website still sucks and looks like something from the early 00s and I still don't care about your other games. I will never care about any of your other crappy asian grinders.

    Too bad all of the information on the old champs site didn't make it over. None of the AT info seems to be around. Why did the new site go into effect before it was even done?

    When you are on the Arc page in the upper right corner there will be an icon to click to login in to your account. After you login in your user name will be visible in the same area. Clicking on that should bring up a link to My Account and it looks like you can manage account stuff from there.

    They only told us this merge would happen when Arc first appeared. It's not like this change was unexpected. They also told us the forums and main page would be changing to. As far as "eyesores" each their own.

    I love how broken the sites are.:rolleyes: I've adapted to the new colors and fine everything is moving to arc, but at least let's try not to break every link that we had before? It's pretty sad that people are actually complaining about not being able to pay when they want to...

    This is horrible the server is down and we have no idea why, and they never told us before hand they'd be removing the champion online web page, arc has ruined this game by forcing us to download something unnessisery and extra, and making it the only way to use the in game market place is even worse, stop cramming stuff down your players throats, we should have a choice to use arc or the normal launcher.

    They did announce on the forums here, and while they are messing with the pages (which I agree didn't need a drastic overhaul) you still don't need arc installed at all to play Champs.... yet...

    Well, every gaming company has been unifying their systems. It's not an isolated practice. Hell, even Blizzard now uses a unified patching system for their small library of games. And originally, the Champions patcher was unified between both Champions and STO, and I think can even still be configured to launch all Cryptic games.
    Champions Online player since September of 2008, forumite since February of 2008.

    Arc is nice enough. But it should be optional. Not forced.

    This terribly designed website doesn't even have any indication of the server status, the old website you could at least tell whether or not the servers were up or down. Heck that's a basic feature for most mmo websites today.

    Then again given how many basic features these forums have I guess I shouldn't be surprised that even their website wouldn't be any better.

    Yeah this website really is ****. I want the old one back. I can't even find the Z-store no more to pick what I want to buy..and the Zen buying menu don't even have UK ????????????. so how the **** am I able to buy Zen points. Also I can't even pick what kind of payment I want too.


    Good Job PW. No really....good job.


    Oh and one nice think to say about the website. I love its open space so I can see all the news at once without having to scroll as much.


    Oh and the new forms page is nice too. Just......you need to change its color its a eyesore.

    Now if you'll excuse me my Qularr Sidekick needs...some love.

    It would be silly of them to remove parts that have been functioning correctly...
    Since the ARC update threads did mention something like 'Only the look will change, but functions remain'. Can't search the News section of it, since the News seems to be repeating 'Victorian Costume Set' and 'Grab Your Free ARC Gifts!' part of it multiple times...
    And we, still, can't custom our forum avatars, without the the link....from STO.

    (And 'cryneting', you still have too large forum signature....)

    I don't get what you people are all complaining about, it's fine it's just- Just kidding, this Arc thing seems a bit rushed with this newest step. They left out a bunch of stuff... like eyebrows on the magical girl u_u

    What's weird is that I don't see this at all. At least under Firefox and NoScript.

    When I fire up Internet Exploder, yes, I do get auto-redirected.

    And when you can't get to pages like:

    yeah...somebody needs to fix the website and fast.

    You know what would be great?
    An official post like the 2 other sites got, atleast NW did, for the site/forum change and stuff.
    So we could ask without going on to Tinhat Mode....
    But since i can't post in NW forums....without using IE....
    But all will be well, sooner or later. It allways will.
    Trust the ARC. ARC is The thing now.

    I decided change my looks to same as majority of people look like. It truly is an upgrade.

    While this isn't available right now, it's in the queue, everyone understands how important it is to get back online. It's already a good ways into the process, and I'm working with the Arc team to make it gets back up soon (for all Cryptic games).

    if you want to opt out of the auto redirect on the main co.perfectworld.com / sto.perfectworld.com / pwi.perfectworld.com etc so that you can access older information and links please do the following (found on multiple threads on PWI forum - they need this fix to access their DQ rewards and blessing giveaways etc)


    1. Install an adblocker for your browser
    2. block this code file: global_redirect.js

    This allows you to visit the old game pages directly without being forcibly booted to arc. you can still access the arc website by clicking on the link at the top of the forum page

    Thanks to you two for helping me navigate through all this crap. I was a returning CO player who just resubbed today - and then had no idea all this Arc crap was even happening. Kept getting redirected all over the damn place. I finally got in to my old CO account thanks to you two! :)

    I was going to actually reactivate my gold today and get back into the game, I kinda miss it. But since they just forced this Arc nonsense on me and I can't get to my subscriptions page without some round about bs, I think I'm going to say 'nah'; and play something else.

    I feel like companies just don't pay enough attention to the people that give them money these days. Especially when they look away core game features and provide them only for fees. Grinding Gear Games has a pretty good take on F2P.

    Maybe I'll come back when they get their crap together.

    That's not the Cryptic/PW way. You are mistaking them for a company that prefers doing quality work over doing a rush job to get a quick buck.

    So yesterday I had to update my sub info, got a new card. was it easy.. no. But others on here have already said about the pain it is so I am not going to go into that story. Also sorry for anyone in my vent last night that had to hear my throw a fit. What I want to say is that I put in a ticket about how the links do not work, and yes I know that they send out an automail. But really you had to send it with the broken links that just put me back into the arc circle of we-hate-you-champ-players. I do not want to take that ride again, it was not fun the first time around and it will not be fun any other time

    Thanks for this. Worked like a charm. Normally I wouldn't want to go behind their backs, but when they take away a part of the product I'm paying for I feel a bit more justified in using this work around.

    OK, so I get the general idea is that everyone hates the Arc Launcher client or website. But honestly I am very confused about everyone's complaints. Can't change your billing info easy or manage your account? Umm, took me less then 2 minutes to find where to do it, frankly pretty much all of the complaints I have seen can be solved just by bothering to look at what all you can do. It really just seems like people are looking at something new and just saying screw this it sucks it is not what I am used to and then don't bother to take 5 minutes to learn some slightly different ways of doing things. Oh, and you do not need to use Arc to play CO, you can still launch the game with its own launcher same as before.

    Or maybe it's just that they threw it together with some of the key elements missing.
    Who knows.

    Now if they could do the same with all 3 Cryptic games. You know same features and stuff...

    My Account-> Games(who would have guessed??:eek::rolleyes:)-> if you can't figure it out from there then I really don't understand how you figured out how to use the internet in the first place.

    Like I said people, pretty much all of the complaints can be solved by simply taking 5 minutes and checking what stuff does.

    OK, so I get the general idea is that everyone hates the Arc Launcher client or website. But honestly I am very confused about everyone's complaints. Can't change your billing info easy or manage your account? Umm, took me less then 2 minutes to find where to do it, frankly pretty much all of the complaints I have seen can be solved just by bothering to look at what all you can do. It really just seems like people are looking at something new and just saying screw this it sucks it is not what I am used to and then don't bother to take 5 minutes to learn some slightly different ways of doing things. Oh, and you do not need to use Arc to play CO, you can still launch the game with its own launcher same as before.

    Then you sir, are better than I... I've been trying to trudge through this new site to find the full list of vet rewards for nearly an hour now, and yea... it took me all of 5 minutes to find a link, if that.... problem is, every-single-link I can find redirects me back to the fraggin' arc homepage!

    If you'd be so kind to provide me a working link where I can actually view the list of vet rewards, I'd be appreciative.

    Then again, with all this hassle for such a simple stupid thing that should be readily available with ease, I should probably take it as a sign to not purchase LTS... as if there weren't enough signs already. I must be a complete moron.
