Mod re-rolls would only be useful if you could select specific mods to change or it's near-free.
If you have to roll all mods at once it will average 100+ rolls per item to get a "perfect" mod set. For plain crafted gear you'd be better off creating 100+ mark II VR pieces of gear using cheap mats then leveling up the few that have "perfect" starting mods.
more useful on already upgraded tiers when you dont get perfect mods with upgrade
Maybe it's the NPC's addressing our characters by chosen title instead of level-tied rank?
Holy schmoly! This would be almost as good as a new Foundry interface!
Did you see the Cryptic new error message in the foundry? Makes me wonder....
New error message tied to a badly needed new interface? What you talkin' about Willis??
No. It's an error that pops up when you do a map preview. It says "You must load the map on the PC client before running on a console."... Which makes no sense.... unless the devs are actually working on making that happen.
Also the style of the error box is weird. It doesn't use the in-game UI but a windows UI. The other possibility that occurs to me is that it's not an error players are ever meant to see and it's using "console" to mean the map editor.

Interesting.
Would be awesome if the Foundry were getting opened up for console players. However...
...it's like trying to get an ocean's worth of content through a sink faucet with the current interface. It REALLY needs to get fixed.
Having loyal pets by your side is one of the most important features of the game. A Captain in a Leadership role with no Pet's kept close to his side is obviously a very sad Captain.
Stop with the Pet Tabs already. Geko is not going to preen on about a much desired item if it were just for a bloody Pet Tab. There are many more useful and clutterous things that need a Tab before one for pets. His much desired/requested feature would be more actually game mechanics oriented than Pets.
If you have that many Pets that you need a Tab to store them you are going to end up dying in a house/apartment alone with 150 cats roaming around the place.

l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
I think there were some other Reddit posts about this. Guessing it's just referencing the DS9 remastering and whatever else Gamma Quadrant? they do for the expansion in 2018
I'm hoping it's this one. DS9 and the Jem'Hadar look like really bad knock offs, which is terrible, given that this is the licensed game for the IP.
Wouldn't mind a bit more customization for ship interiors.
2. Pet Tab (lol)
With Cryptic adding new pets pretty much every summer and winter event and NOT giving us collectors anywhere special to store them... takes up A LOT, and I say again A LOT, of bank space that can be used for other things like all the lockbox weapons, unique weapons and gear, regenerators, components, and rep tokens like Borg Neural Processors.
3. Species/gender change token
Probably a good idea as an option, although we seem to get free character slots pretty often. lol
5. Assignable mods
Would be nice, but at the same time would not only devalue the desirable mods on the Exchange, it would also cater to the current Meta. So this one is kind of a double edged sword.
6. The old queue UI back
Once you get used to the current one, its not that bad. I don't get the whole Queue Group thing other than the fact it allows for cross faction teaming. I'd honestly rather see a bit more refinement than just scrapping it for the cluttered old system with them all in alphabetical order and having 2-3 copies of most of them for the higher difficulty levels. In a way we have the old list if you search ALL, and I actually like being able to sort by mark reward rather than trying to remember what gives what.
7. Flying your ship from your bridge
8. Travelling across sector space whilst on your bridge
Pretty sure these two were shot down in a rather final manner by Cryptic. The game engine can't do that when your avatar turns into the ship in space. One could argue that what you see in space is just a tactical or astrometrics view from a console on the bridge though.
15. Access to all current patrols in game
Would be nice to have ALL patrols repeatable rather than just Delta Quad and Tau Dewa.
17. Return of two stage STFs
18. Return of Elite Borg STFs (ISA, KSA, CSA)
Not sure the long 2 stage STFs would be as popular as a return of the Elites so that people have a shot at some currently uncompleteable accolades as well as the Accolade costume unlocks for MACO/Honor Guard/Omega armors.
21. Rebalancing of the Borg so it needs 30 ships to take down one cube and not just a shuttle
Considering the max number of players I've seen in an actual STF is only 20... not sure how that will work out at all. And lower end machines still struggle with that I believe.

It's not really the UI that's bad anymore at this point. They have, slowly, restored previous functionality. Only really missing the ability to display all difficulties at once.
However, the underlying mechanics ("Queue Group," etc) are still cumbersome as ever, generate cancellation spam if even one player declines/doesn't respond, don't support flexible player limits and produce unpredicable delays in mission start with no updates on what it's doing or going to do. No amount of "getting used to" these problems is going to make them go away on their own.
This was especially noticeable when they did the PvP endeavor and turns out the PvP queue still uses the old system. There are no unknown delays, it tells you when its waiting for players to engage and when its ready and going to start. If someone doesn't accept it just picks up the next in line instead of cancelling and starting over every time. It will only cancel if there are no more people in the queue to pick, so it won't spam it. Etc. So much smoother experience.

With the current standard rewards? They'd be just as dead as all the other queues. ISE might be mildly popular, but only if it was easy enough to win as fast as the Advanced version.
The ground version of Infected was that map where you had Mario style jumping over a vat of plasma coolant.... fall in and die. Oh and Becky can fly so there was no chance of her taking damage from it.
i guarantee he's talking about mod reroll, because the interface for it has already been spotted on tribble months ago
Lets see how many people get pissed when they find out it costs dilthium, and you can't pick the mods you want, you just have to keep re-rolling!(you know its going to work out like this)
As if they don't have enough ways to encourage people to spend money.
yeah, it was a console command that recolored your weapon effects...nothing any more fancy than that
they might as well re-add it, because A: PvP is dead, and B: nearly every color under the sun is available for all damage types now anyway, so the complaint is now invalid

A new Gateway App for the game would be fantastic.
Mod selection would just funnel everything into cookie cutter mode, so not a fan. TBH they should remove all mods from weapons as the mechanics of CrtH and CrtD especially should be dependant on Accuracy vs Defense ratings, taking into account shields, HP and speed too. It should be very hard to CrtH a moving target, and current CrtH of upwards of 30% is shocking vs a fully shielded and fast moving target! Players got spoiled with this. A Critical Hit should always be hard to achieve, not easy!
My bet is on a new exploration system.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

It was broken for most of the year and the tweet does seem a bit old. @CaptainGeko stop the suspense and just give us our Xmas present!

Middle of the temporal war and he thinks alls well, complete that arc and he still keeps pestering you to say alls well.
Specific mods from crafting sounds dangerously close to reducing a dil sink so more than slightly sceptical about that one seeing the light of day.

Wesley Crusher is not a feature ;-)

This would be amazing.

That would be perfect, since I'm the only one who can see it - and I SPECIFICALLY requested to be called that myself.

My toon would be happily "demoted" to Captain, it would make much more sense given what he actually does (ie: commands a ship).
